WHAT IS YOUR
EXCUSE?
Jesus said, They do not need to
go away; you give them something to eat. They said to Him, We have nothing here
but five loaves and two fish. He said, Bring them here to Me. And they all
ate and were satisfied. And they picked up twelve [small hand] baskets full of
the broken pieces left over. And those who ate were about 5,000 men, not
including women and children.
Matthew 14:16-18, 20-21 AMP
Jesus fed 5000 men, not including women
and children for five loaves and two fish. It's amazing how God can use such
small amount of food to feed the multitudes and all were satisfied. I think if
it will be today, it would take a lot of bread and fishes plus those who will
cook and those who will distribute that food to people.
There are many things that we can learn
from this miracle of Jesus including the unlimited supply of God in the times of
needs. But there is something I want to point out in this story that reflects
our personal lives. When the disciples asked Jesus to let people go because it
was getting too late; Jesus said, they do not need to go away; you give them
something to eat. Disciples came with the excuse by saying; we have nothing
here but five loaves and two fish. It was impossible to feed such a crowd with
that small amount of food.
The Bible continues by
saying, Then He ordered the
crowds to recline on the grass; and He took the five loaves and the two fish,
and, looking up to heaven, He gave thanks and blessed and
broke the loaves and handed the pieces to the disciples, and the disciples gave
them to the people, ve.19. Jesus did not have any excuse because He believed in
God who made everything out of nothing and when He prayed He believed God will
feed all people in that crowd.
This morning, I here to
encourage you to use whatsoever God have put in your life for extension of His
kingdom. It is easy to look on the things that we don't have; things that we
desire to have and forget about things that God has already given us. If you
sit down and look your life closely you will see talents, gifts and experiences
that they may be a perfect gift for someone in need. What you think is small in
your own eyes if you will let God be involved in it; it may turn out to be a
blessing to many.
If you had a rough youth then
you can use your experience to teach young people and encourage them to stay
away from trouble. Maybe you don't have a lot of money to contribute in church
activities like others; but still you can be the one who will show love to those
who were once rejected in life within the body of Christ. There is something
for you to do in the kingdom of God, stop putting excuses and start asking the
Lord to use you and use whatsoever is in your disposal for the extension of His
kingdom.
****Morning Prayer****
Pray this prayer with me by
faith and God is going to answer your prayer....
Dear Heavenly Father, today I
will stop making excuses and asking You that You may use me according to your
plan in my life. I'm willing to do whatsoever You have called me to do in this
life knowing You will be with me always until the end. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
