Morning with Ebenezer

PARENTS

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. “Honor your father and mother,” which is the first commandment with promise: “that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth.”

Ephesians 6:1-3 NKJV

The Bible teaches us to obey our parents in the Lord, for it is right. "Honor your father and mother," this is the first commandment with promise. If we do that it will go well with us and we will live long life on the earth.

Our parents used to respect their parents. They obeyed them regardless how illiterate they were and listened to their advises. We are living in the age that many young people don't respect their parents; and give no regard to the elders in the societies.

That's why there is a rise of generation that doesn't care about their families; because people have been so selfish and only care about their own agendas. I believe we don't live long and enjoy life as it supposed to be; because we don't obey this commandment that came with a promise.

This morning, I want to remind you to obey your parents. I know there are some of us who were not raised by our biological parents; but at least we had some people who we look for as guardians or parental figures. Some of us lost our parents and maybe when we were still young; but still there are some of people who taught us basic things about life.

If you are still struggling in this area, then ask God to help you have control over it. Learn to respect your elders and those who are older than you. Learn to respect and obey your leaders in the Church and ministry. God will bless you for being obedient and follow what He teaches us in this world.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, forgive me for where I have disrespected my parents and elders in my circle of influence. Help me to start obeying them and love them as your word commands. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Morning with Ebenezer

STANDSTILL

He says, "Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth."

Psalm 46:10 NIV

In life we face a lot of discouragements. Sometimes we all need the word of encouragement that we may pass through the day. That's why we tend to be offended when people speak harsh words on us especially early in the morning.

Sometimes our bosses or loved ones tend to cause pain on us by their words or actions. Life comes with different storms; it comes with different challenges and its package of sorrow. In life many things comes against our exceptions, and sometimes we face betrayal from people who we once deeply trusted.

I have loved ones who had lost people who were so dear to them. Some of them lost their parents, siblings; and others lost their spouses when they needed them most. While others are complaining why they didn't get an increase in their salaries; there others who don't have even jobs. While some mistreat their children; we have some couples who would give anything to hold one of their own.

This morning, standstill, and know that He is God. No matter what you are going through in life right now; remember there is God. Things may seem to be out of hands; but you need to know that God is still in control. You may feel that all your plans are falling apart and there is no way to restore your former glory; but you need to know that God has not forgotten you.

Donnie Mcclurkin in his song Stand sings: “Don't you dare give up through the storm, Stand through the rain. Through the hurt. Yeah, through the pain. Don't you bow, and don't you bend. Don't give up, no, don't give in. Hold on, just be strong, God will step in and it won't be long.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Father, no matter what I'm going through in life right now You will still be my God. I surrender everything under your care; knowing that all things will work together for my own good. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Morning with Ebenezer

HE VALUES YOU

Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a few cents.

Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on.”

Mark 12:41-44 NIV

I remember I wrote about this passage of Scriptures few years ago. Today when I was doing some Bible studies I came across with this passage of widow's offering; and I felt the Lord is directing me to write something about it.

Jesus saw many rich men putting in large amounts into the temple treasury; later poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a few cents. Jesus called His disciples and said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on.”

Although this poor widow put a small amount of money; but she gave more than all those rich people. “They have plenty, and they gave only what they did not need. This woman is very poor, but she gave all she had. It was money she needed to live on.” This teaches us that God respect whatever small things we give or contribute for His kingdom; if is all what we have.

This morning, I want you to know that God values your contribution for His kingdom. Maybe you are not that gifted like so and so in the Church. Maybe no one knows you, and sometimes you feel like God doesn't see what you do behind the scene for His kingdom. I'm here to encourage you to continue doing what you are doing because your Father who sees things that are done even in the secret will reward you.

Some Christians have been given the gift of praying for others. These precious saints pray and fast for the Church and ministers of the Church. They pray for the people problems without being asked by anyone. These people sometimes may be considered as useless; but in the reality are mostly needed. I don't know what you had been doing in your Church; but I want to encourage you to continue doing it knowing that you are extending the kingdom of God on this earth.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, help me to continue serving You with a clean heart. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Morning with Ebenezer

IN HIS PRESENCE

Honor and majesty are [found] in His presence; strength and joy are [found] in His sanctuary.

1 Chronicles 16:27

Christians need to spend more time in the presence of the Lord. We are living in a time where many people spend more time in social Medias than they spend in the presence of the Lord. Many people love to see God in their lives; but they are not willing to pay the cost.

There are some people who claim that they pray daily; but in the reality they only spend few minutes in the presence of the Lord. We invest small time before the Lord and we complain why we don't see the big result we desire. If you will invest enough time in your work or studies then one day you will reap the harvest.

It is the same with God, if you will invest enough time in the presence of the Lord. You will see tremendous impact in your spiritual growth. You will get all the answers of your questions in His presence. You will be healed, delivered and set free in His presence.

This morning, I want to remind you to spend time in the presence of the Lord. If you want to hear the voice of God, then spend a quality time before Him. If you want overcome your fear of life and walk in the faith of the Son of God; then learn to spend more time before the Lord.

The Bible says in 97:5, The Mountains melt like wax at the presence of the Lord, At the presence of the Lord of the whole earth. If you have anything that bothers you in life right now; then go to the presence of the Lord. His presence will take away that pain, sorrow, diseases, fear, disbelief and the like.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Father, I thank You for your word. Lord I want to spend more time in your presence; help me learn to set aside special time for You. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Morning with Ebenezer

JESUS OF NAZARETH

Now there was a man in their synagogue with an unclean spirit. And he cried out, saying, “Let us alone! What have we to do with You, Jesus of Nazareth? Did You come to destroy us? I know who You are—the Holy One of God!”

But Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be quiet, and come out of him!” And when the unclean spirit had convulsed him and cried out with a loud voice, he came out of him.

Mark 1:23-26 NKJV

The ministry of Jesus in this world was powerful. Demons cried loud whenever He went; and no unclean spirit was able to sit under the same roof with Him. All who went to Him while they were sick, they returned to their homes whole.

They knew that He was the Son of God and He had the ability to destroy them. That's why whenever they encountered Him; they cried that He may not destroy them. This is the same Jesus that we believe up to this day. He is still powerful and doing the same works that He was doing 2000 years ago.

The Church needs to know that our Lord Jesus Christ is still powerful and doing miracles through His servants. He is still using people who have committed their lives to Him and save all who go to Him by faith. He is still the center of the Church and the firstborn from among the dead. He is the Savior of this whole world; and the KINGS OF KINGS AND LORDS OF LORDS.

This morning, I want to encourage you to put your trust in Jesus of Nazareth. He is still powerful, He still saves and set people free from every bondage of the enemy. If you trust Him, He will fight your battles on your behalf. He will rebuke the devil in your life and break every curse of your family that keep on bringing you down.

You are not alone in this world; you have Jesus and His precious Spirit. You don't have to fear about your tomorrow; because your future is in the hands of God. He has been in your tomorrow and He has prepared everything for you. He will take care of you and your loved ones; if you will let Him to have a total control of your life.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I will put my trust in your Son Jesus Christ always. Help me to continue living by faith and not by sight knowing that You will always be there for me even if I don't see You. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Morning with Ebenezer

JOYFUL LIFE

For his anger lasts only a moment,
    but his favor lasts a lifetime;
weeping may stay for the night,
but rejoicing comes in the morning.

Psalm 30:5 NIV

Life can give us million of reasons for weeping and being sad. There are some people who feel like God has forsaken them and they are so unlucky in life. These people have tried everything to make their lives better but always end up failing or making them worse.

There are some Christians who came from a background of unspeakable poverty; they always tend to struggle with the notion that God cannot prosper them in the Biblical standard. There is a Biblical road of blessings that is found in the scriptures. In order to be able to inherit what the Lord has in store for you; your mindset need to be changed by the word of God.

One thing you need to learn is that no problem or hardship will last forever. If you have sinned before the Lord and repented your sins; then know that God has already forgiven you and He is not holding anything against you. If you were born in poverty and under privileged; there is no need for you to use it as an excuse, but make efforts that your children may live a better life.

This morning, I want you to know that God has prepared a joyful life ahead of you. You may be passing through temptations right now, and sometimes you may feel like God has forgotten you. I'm here to tell you that there is a door of escape ahead of you, so don't give up and continue trusting God.

As you continue reading scriptures you will find all the answers of your problems. You will get wisdom that will help you overcome your poverty and start walking in the blessings of God. God will open your eyes and show you the authority that you have been given in Christ. If you will know what authority you have and your position in the spiritual realm; then you will be in a best position to overcome anything that will come in your way.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Father, I thank You for your word. Lord I'm asking that You give me strength to continue with my journey of salvation. Help me to endure hardships knowing that nothing I face will last forever; but in everything You will provide a way of escape for me. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Morning with Ebenezer

WE NEED EACH OTHER

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

John 13:34-35 NKJV

When Jesus started His earthly ministry, He chose 12 disciples to help Him in the ministry. He walked with those twelve until the end expect for the one who betray Him that the Scriptures may be fulfilled.

When Jesus was going back to the Father, He said to His disciples these words.  Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Matthew 28:19. He needed His disciples to go to the whole world to preach the Gospel, and bring healing to the suffering world.

In the Church of Jesus Christ we need each other. Pastor needs prayer warriors, praise and worship team, choirs, ushers, and people who will support him mentally and financially. We need our fellow brethren to pray for us, encourage us in the times of troubles and teach us thing we haven't experienced yet in life.

This morning, I want you to know that we need each other. You need your neighbor; you need your fellow workers, your bosses and different members of your life. Everyone that God has put in your life is of importance. That's why you need to have a good attitude and make sure you treat each one of them with respect.

There are people who will talk behind your back; and sometimes give you an attitude. You need to develop the ability of being calm and treat them right regardless how they treat you. Jesus gave us a new commandment that we should love one another, as He has loved us. By doing what the Lord has taught us all people will know that we are His disciples, if we will love one another. I want to encourage you to love your neighbor, that you may fulfill the law of Christ.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for loving me. I'm asking that You may help me to love others as You have commanded me. Help to treat everyone right and give respect where respect is due. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

EXAMINE YOUR WAYS

Let us search out and examine our ways,
And turn back to the Lord;
Let us lift our hearts and hands
To God in heaven.

Lamentations 3:40-41 NKJV

In this life we do things that most of the time doesn't please our Lord Jesus Christ. We all struggle with sin, and sometimes we make decisions that are against the will of God in our lives. We tend to make friends with people who don't know God; and who end up influencing us in a wrong way.

The Prophet Jeremiah encourages us to search out and examine our ways. This includes our way of living, they way we handle our relationships with others and amount of love we show to those who don't profit us anything in life.

When we ask ourselves questions concerning our ways of life and discover there are some areas which we fall short. Then we need to turn back to the Lord, by lifting our hearts and hands to God in heaven. Lifting our hearts and hands is the sign of surrendering to His will; and admitting that we are wrong and we are seeking His forgiveness.

This morning, I want to encourage you to search out and examine your ways. Do some soul searching and examine your life as a Christian. Do you live according to the will of the Father? Do you walk in love and help others as the way you are supposed to do? Is your life a living testimony or you just live like anyone out there?

If you have found something wrong in your life, go to God with repentance. Ask the Lord to forgive you, and if there is anything that is beyond your control; let say you have a weakness that you can't control. Surrender that weakness before the Lord and ask Him to help you overcome it; He is faithful God, He will give you victory over it.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer...

Dear Father, forgive me for where I have sinned against You. I surrender my life and everything that take place in it before You. Help me to live according to your will in all the days of my life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Morning with Ebenezer

OUR GOD IS AWESOME

Come and see the works of God;
He is awesome in His doing toward the sons of men.
He turned the sea into dry land;
They went through the river on foot.
There we will rejoice in Him.
He rules by His power forever;
His eyes observe the nations;
Do not let the rebellious exalt themselves.

Psalm 66:5-7 NKJV

The world and everything in it are the works of our God. All what you see is made by His great hand, all humans ever born are created by God. He turned the sea into dry land; and the children of Israel went through the river Jordan on foot.

He did great miracles before the eyes of the Children of Israel; and He fulfilled the promise that He made to the their fore-Fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. He saved them from the hand of Pharaoh and gave the land of Canaan that was full of milk and honey.

He is the one who control the affairs of all the nations; no one can stand and outsmart Him. Although men think that they can do things without His help; and many people in authority deny His existence, but He will still be God. If you do not believe in God, it won't change the face that He is there, and one day you will stand before Him in the day of judgment.

This morning, I want you to know that our God is awesome. Charles Jenkins sings, "My God is awesome, He can move mountains, keep me in the valley, hide me from rain. My God is awesome, heals me when I'm broken, strength where I've been weakened, forever He will reign.

Our God can do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, Ephesians 3:20. God can do great things to you if you will believe Him; He will take in the places where you haven't even dream, if you will put your trust in Him.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Father, thank You for all that what You have done for me. Praise be your name in all the earth forever and evermore. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

SURRENDER

Hear my cry, O God;
Attend to my prayer.
From the end of the earth I will cry to You,
When my heart is overwhelmed;
Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

Psalm 61:1-2 NKJV

Life can be sometimes overwhelming; and your heart can start growing faint. In life we are facing different things that can cause pain, confusion, and sometimes even lead to do bad decisions. In the times like these we need help from the rock that is higher than us.

We need help from the rock of ages, who is Jesus Christ Himself. The Bible says, “For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin.” If you are being tempted, then you need to go to Jesus. He will help you overcome your temptation because He was tempted too!(Hebrews 4:15)

Maybe you have unpaid bills before you, or you are facing crisis in your relationships. I have met with young women who were promised marriage; but they end up with nothing. There are some Christians who faced fierce opposition from their families and relatives after they gave their lives to the Lord. There are those who even lost their jobs and influence; because they refused to participate in some illegal deals in their work places.

This morning, I want to encourage you to go to the rock that is higher that You. It's about time now to surrender all of your problems to Jesus. Sometimes it will take only a simple act of surrendering and God will come for your rescue.

If you have been struggling with some things in your life for a while now; I have a word for you from the Lord, “surrender everything to Him”. The battle is not yours but the Lord's! If you will surrender everything to Him; He will come and fight for you. He won't let your adversaries to have a final word over your situation; He will be the one who will lead you to the victory that you need in Christ Jesus.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer...

Dear Heavenly Father, I surrender all my problems to You. I'm asking that You may come for my rescue, please Lord don't let my adversaries to have a final say over the matters of my life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

VICTORY

Give us aid against the enemy,
    for human help is worthless.
With God we will gain the victory,
and he will trample down our enemies.

Psalm 60:11-12 NIV

In life we are facing different enemies from different sides of life. There are some people who are facing diseases, poverty, demonic attacks, and all sorts of depressions. The enemy of our soul who is the devil himself keeps on bringing different attacks on the people of God.

The Psalmist David knew that He needed help against the enemy, who at his time was the devil who was trying to kill him through King Saul. He came to realize that the help of a man is worthless, and through the help of God he would gain the victory and he will defeat our enemies.

Maybe you are facing your own enemies, maybe you have tried to seek help from people and you couldn't get any. There are some of us who went to people who thought they would help us; but these people end up disappointing us. Men can promise to stand with us in the time of troubles; but later disappear in the wind without even a warning when that trouble comes.

This morning, I want you to know that victory is found in Christ Jesus. You can victory over diseases, depression, anxiety, poverty, fear, and all sorts of things that can cause you to be awake at night. If you are having bad dreams or even struggling under a family curse; then you need to go to Jesus, and He will going to deliver you from all of them.

Do not be afraid of dying before your time, because the Lord won't allow the enemy to kill you before your days. Even if you suffering from a deadly disease trust God; He will deliver you from whatever is troubling you in your body. God has the power to deliver you from all the traps of the enemy; what you need is to put your faith in Him always.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I'm asking that You may give victory over all my problems and my fears in life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Morning with Ebenezer

WE ARE ALL SINNERS

Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst.

1 Timothy 1:15 NIV

Paul the Apostle was the mighty man of God. He wrote almost half of the New Testament, and He saw God in a very unique way during His ministry. Paul acknowledged what the Lord did in his life; the way He saved him from the shame of sin.

He says Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of who I am the worst. He admitted that he was a sinner and without the Lord, he would continue to sin. He showed the perfect example of how our attitude should be. Although he knew God deeply but he didn't consider himself special; he knew that without the Lord he would continue living in sin.

Some Christians tend to feel superior after they have given their life to the Lord. They tend to judge everyone who commits sin. Instead of helping people who are still struggling in sin, they tend to badmouth them and refuse to help them.

This morning, I want you to know that we are all sinners. The Bible teaches that, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God, Romans 3:23.” So you need to be always grateful for the gift of salvation that is found in Christ Jesus. Don't take your salvation for granted but always thank God for saving you from sin.

In your walk with the Lord make sure you help others who haven't reached the grace that you have received. Show others your Jesus that you have received, don't keep Jesus for yourself; but share Him with the lost world. Remember you were once a sinner, so make sure you help other who are still live in sin to see the light of Christ.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer...

Dear Father, forgive me for where I considered myself holy than others. Use me to help sinners see the light that is found in Christ Jesus. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Morning with Ebenezer

HE STILL VALUES

Remember your Creator
in the days of your youth,
before the days of trouble come
and the years approach when you will say,
“I find no pleasure in them”—

Ecclesiastes 12:1 NIV

One thing that you need to remind yourself everyday is that you were once created. God created you and made you the way you are today! In other words He is the one who owns you, and one day He will call you back to Him. Then you will be judged according to what you did in this body whether good or bad.

Sometimes life makes us to feel like we will live forever. When everything seem to be in its best and we are in good health; we tend to forget that we are just passengers on this Earth. Some people used to love God when they had nothing; but when they got all things they desired, they forget God completely.

The Bible reminds us to remember our Creator in the days of our youth; in other words we need to remember Him when we are still having strength. We need to serve Him while there is still time, and give ourselves to His will before it's too late! One thing you need to know for sure is that one day you will get old; and if you won't invest your life right now to God, then you will get old with regrets.

This morning, I want you to know that God still values your service to Him. I want to encourage you to continue serving Him in the area that He has called you to serve. Don't concentrate on the other people words, but keep focusing on Jesus. Do whatever the Lord is commanding you to do; even if it may not be popular or exciting like other ministries in the body of Christ.

God will reward you according to your faithfulness to Him; and bless you for your obedience of His word. You don't have to be a preacher or singer to serve God in the Church of Jesus Christ. What you need is the willing heart that will do anything that the Lord commands. Your reward is found in those small things that sometimes seem to be like nothing; if you will do them well, then God will one day remember your name in His kingdom.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, help me to serve You in my life. Give me strength to continue doing what You have called me to do knowing that one day You will reward me according to my faithfulness in Christ Jesus. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Morning with Ebenezer

INVITE JESUS

Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.

Revelation 3:20 NIV

Throughout the history Jesus has been knocking on the doors of people all around the world. He has been asking for permission to get into the lives of many that He may change their fate. The whole world has been polluted by sin since the first fall of Adam.

When Jesus died on the cross and rose up from the grave; He brought forth the lost hope that was needed in this world. Everyone who was willing to open the door, He went in and transformed his life completely. Paul the Apostle knew this that's why He says in 2 Corinthians 5:17, " Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!

He says if anyone hears His voice and opens the door; He will come in and eat with that person, and they with Him. Jesus wants to be involved in everything that we are going through in life. He wants to be involved in our personal lives and public lives as well.

This morning, invite Jesus in your home and personal life. We have Christians who act like Christians when they go to church and when they are in public. When they are alone and no one is seeing them they live a life different from what they profess to believe.

There are many Christians who are bound by the spirit of pornography. Some of these people are in ministers in our local churches. They allow Jesus in some areas of their lives; but they don't allow Him near their dirty secrets. They don't allow Jesus to come and break some of their addictions and bad habits that they have been developing for years. Surrender your whole life to the Lord today, tell Him about all of your shameful things and ask Him to deliver you from them all.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I invite You in my personal life today. I'm asking that You may come in every secret room inside of me and take total control over all of them. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

STAND UP FOR YOURSELF

So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith.

Galatians 6:9-10 NLT

The Bible teaches us to do good to all people and to treat everyone right whenever we have the opportunity. Unlikely other religion that teaches their followers to hate their enemies our Bible teaches us to love our enemies.

In our daily walk with the Lord, some people may take advantage of us when they see we are good to them. They may tend to leave every heavy burden to us and even offend us purposely expecting that we will end up forgiving them. There are some Christians who are being bullied in the work place; because they are too humble even to stand for themselves.

The Bible says Moses was a very humble man, more humble than anyone else on the face of the earth, Numbers 12:3. Although Moses was humble but he knew to stand for himself and stand for his nation of Israel. He didn't allow anyone to intimidate him and take advantage of his good heart and humbleness.

This morning, I want to encourage you to continue doing good to people; but also learn to stand up for yourself, and stand for the truth of the Gospel. Read the Scriptures, and engage yourself in serious prayers; that you may practice the authority that you have given in Christ. Don't let people toss you around with their different ideologies; but make sure you know your position in Christ.

You need to treat everyone right as the Bible teaches us; but make sure that you are not bullied or being taken advantage. Ask God to give you wisdom that you may know how to treat each person in your life and answer them in a right way.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I give myself to You. Give me wisdom that I may know how to treat and answer everyone who comes in my life according to your will. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

PEOPLE IN YOUR LIFE

There are “friends” who destroy each other,
but a real friend sticks closer than a brother.

Proverbs 18:24 NLT

I believe that God has put some people in your life. He has put people who believe in you and help you to reach your full potential. You may not liking these people so much, because are the ones who keep on criticizing your way of life; and sometimes refuse to support some of your ideas.

As much as you would love to see these people stay very far from you especially when they disagree with you in some things; at the end of the day you come to realize that these people are in your life for a purpose. God had put them there that they may help you to become a better version of yourself; and no matter how hard they may be sometimes, but they do it out of love they have for you.

These people may be our parents, relatives, friends, co-workers, bosses, fellow believers and sometimes even our teachers and mentors. God had put them in our lives that they may help us reach where He wants us to be some day. God has a full picture of your life; He knows where you are supposed to be ten years from now. If we won't be sharp enough to walk in His plan. He will send people who will push us out of our comfort zones that we may maximize our potentials in life.

This morning, I want to encourage you to pray for people who God has placed in your life. Pray for their healthy and well being. Pray that God may give them wisdom that they may help you to reach where God wants you to be one day. Pray for their success in life and that God may bless the work of their hands.

Pray that they may be saved if they haven't; remember God can use even unsaved loved ones who are in the position to help you grow. Pray that they may prosper in their ways too and that their love for you may be genuine. Pray for their families and that God may fight for them in their every day struggles. Pray for their lives as a whole and after they helped you; God may send other people to help them in their lives too!

Morning with Ebenezer

BELIEVE THE SCRIPTURES

For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope.

Romans 15:4 NIV

The Bible contains different stories of the people who lived the life of faith before us. These people trusted God and committed their lives totally to Him. They passed through a lot of temptations but the Lord delivered them from each of them.

We see many people who were suffering with incurable diseases in the time of Jesus and the Apostles who were healed. Some were possessed by demons who received their freedom after the mention of the name of Jesus. Some received their miracles, women who were barren conceived healthy children, blind received their sight and the deaf heard through the power of God.

The Bible teaches us to consider pure joy, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because for you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So we need to let it grow, for when our endurance is fully developed, we will be perfect and complete, needing nothing. (James 1:2-4)

This morning, I want to encourage you to believe the Scriptures. If it is written there is healing in the name of Jesus; then you need to believe in healing that you may receive it. If it is written that you will be blessed if you will give your tenth percentage; and bring offerings in the house of the Lord. Then you need to believe it that you may receive it.

If it is written all things are possible with God, then in order to for you to see that in your life. You need to start believing it first that you may receive it. If it is written all things work together for good to those who love God. Then you need to know that no matter what all things will work together for your own good if you believe.

FUTURE

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Jeremiah 29:11 NKJV

Our futures are hidden in God. This is one thing that the Lord doesn't want the devil to puts his hands on it. He has hidden the future of each one of us, that's why no one can know what will happen even five days from now if God won't reveal it to you.

God teaches us in the Scriptures to pray to His precious Spirit that He may show us the things yet to come, John 16:13. He says in Isaiah 45:11 to ask Him of things to come concerning His children, and concerning the work of His hands. He spoke to prophet Amos these words, “Surely the Sovereign Lord does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets.”(Amos 3:7)

God says in Isaiah 46:10, “I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, ‘My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.’ ” Our God knows the end from the beginning; He knew what will happen 30 years after you were born even before you knew to differentiate the good from the bad. He knows what will happen 20 years from now and what you will happen at the end of your life.

This morning, I want to encourage you to ask God to show you a future that He had in store for you. He forbids to use magic, omens, or witchcraft or to go to people who predict events by horoscope or signs and lucky days, Leviticus 19:26. He wanted us to go to Him if we want any questions about our future.

He will have a way of showing us either by dreams, visions or prophetic gift that is operating in His servants. He will speak to you in the language that you will be able to understand and know what He has prepared for you.

LORD'S PURPOSE

Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.

Proverbs 19:21 NIV

Every human being who has ever been born on this earth had a purpose. God allowed each one of us to be born; because He wanted us to fulfill His purpose in this world. There are many people who died without even knowing their purpose; and hence they didn't fulfill the will of God in their lives.

Many people are miserable because they are doing things that God did not intend them to do. We read the story of Zacchaeus who was very important tax collector, and he was wealthy in the Book of Luke. He wanted to see who Jesus was, but he was not able because he was too short to see above the crowd. He climbed a sycamore tree so he could see him. Jesus came and called him to come down, and He stayed in his house that day.

Zacchaeus was considered a sinner with many self-righteous people but when He met Jesus his life changed. He stood up and said to the Lord, “I will give half of my possessions to the poor. And if I have cheated anyone, I will pay back four times more.” If Zacchaeus hadn't met the Lord, He would die in his sins; and whatever he accumulated will be used by other people. He fulfilled his purpose of being an honest tax collector and giving half of his possessions to the poor. (Luke 19:1-10)

This morning, I want you to know that God is the only one who can show the purpose of your being. He is the one who created you, so if you what to know why He created you. You need to go back to Him and ask Him to show you His purpose for your life.

If you haven't given your life to the Lord Jesus Christ, then you need to surrender it to Him as the first stage of knowing your purpose in life. I believe Zacchaeus was miserable; because he was considered as a sinner with religious leaders and self-righteous Jews. When he met Jesus, his eyes were opened and immediately he knew what he supposed to do with his life. I believe if you will meet Jesus today; He will open your eyes and you will be able to understand what He wants you to do with your life.
