Morning with Ebenezer

DO YOU SEEK HIM?

But from there you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find Him if you search for Him with all your heart and all your soul.

Deuteronomy 4:29 NASB

In the Bible we have people who seek the face of God in their most trying times and the Lord showed Himself to them. There is another group of people who seek the Lord from their childhood and they become great men and women in their latter days.

We see David who sought the Lord from his childhood and put his trust in the God of Israel since his youth. The Lord was with him and he did not let anyone take him down because he was the man after God’s own heart. Those who sought God early in their lives, had the advantage of walking with Him in all seasons of life and saw the hand of the Lord saving them from many snares of the enemy.

That's why it is important to encourage young people to seek the Lord in their young age. There is huge advantage of being born again while you are still young. The Lord will hold your hand and lead you in a safe path which is nothing like what the world offers to those who save her.

This morning, I just want to encourage you to seek God in your life right now. The Bible promises us if we will seek God, we will find Him. If you seek Him you will find all the answers to your questions in life. He will direct you what to do, where to go in life, when and how to do things according to His plan in your life.

You will never be able to hear and understand the voice of God if you will not seek Him. If you will not have the life of prayer, you will not know how God spoke to people. If you will pay attention to learn His way, He will pay attention to show you the way. He will order your steps and bring the right people in your life in a right time.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, Help me seek you with all my heart and soul from this day forward to the days to come. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

THE IMPORTANCE OF THE BLOOD OF JESUS

And to Jesus, the Mediator (Go-between, Agent) of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood which speaks [of mercy], a better and nobler and more gracious message than the blood of Abel [which cried out for vengeance].

Hebrews 12:24 AMP

Today I will list several scriptures which show the importance of the blood of Jesus in a believer's life. We need the blood of Jesus to cover and make us whole in each new day. If we will know the importance of it in our lives then we will be able to live a victorious life in this world.

1.      It remits sins (Matt. 26:28).

2.      It gives life to those who consume it (John 6:53).

3.      It causes us to dwell in Christ and He in us (John 6:56).

4.      It is the means by which Jesus purchased the church (Acts 20:28).

5.      It is the means by which Jesus becomes our atonement through faith (Rom. 3:25).

6.      It justifies us and saves us from wrath (Rom. 5:9).

7.      It redeems us (Eph. 1:7; 1 Pet. 1:18-19; Rev. 5:9).

8.      It brings those who were far away from God near to Him (Eph. 2:13).

9.      It grants us the forgiveness of sins (Col. 1:14).

10.    It brings peace and reconciliation to God (Col. 1:20).

11.    It has obtained eternal redemption for us (Heb. 9:12).

12.    It cleanses our conscience from dead works to serve the living God (Heb. 9:14).

13.    It is the means by which we enter the most holy place with boldness (Heb. 10:19).

14.    It speaks a better word than the blood of Abel (Heb. 12:24, NIV).

15.    It sanctifies us (Heb. 13:12).

16.    It makes us complete for every good work (Heb. 13:20-21, NKJV).

17.    It cleanses us from all sin (1 John 1:7).

18.    It bears witness in the earth along with the Spirit and the water (1 John 5:8, KJV).

19.    It is the means by which Jesus washes us (Rev. 1:5; 7:14).

20.    It is the means by which we overcome the accuser of the brethren (Rev. 12:11).

This morning, I pray that God may cover you by His Son blood; that you may have a peaceful and productive life. God bless you and continue being faithful in your walk with the Lord.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I just want to thank You for shading the blood of your Son. May your name be praised forevermore. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

MEN AND WOMEN WHO WALKED WITH THE LORD

Peter sent them all out of the room; then he got down on his knees and prayed. Turning toward the dead woman, he said, “Tabitha, get up.” She opened her eyes, and seeing Peter she sat up. He took her by the hand and helped her to her feet. Then he called for the believers, especially the widows, and presented her to them alive.  This became known all over Joppa, and many people believed in the Lord.

Acts 9:40-42 NIV

In the Bible there are different accounts of men and women who walked with the Lord in the past. In the chapter 9 of the Book of Acts we read the story of Thabita who was known as Docras in Greek. She was the disciple of Jesus Christ who did good deeds and helped the poor. There was a day she became sick and died, people in her hometown sent men to call Apostle Peter who was in a nearby town.

Docras was helping the widows and when Peter came they showed him the robes and other clothing that she made while she was still with them. This shows how Docras was a God fearing woman during her life; she respected everyone and cared about the weak groups in the community. People wanted Docras to continue to live because they saw God operating through her.

After Peter sent all the people out of the room which they placed her body; then he got on his knees and prayed. Peter was a man of prayer, He saw the Lord Jesus Christ in the days of His flesh the way He prayed before everything and He learnt from Him. The Lord answered the prayer of Peter, and Docras opened her eyes, and seeing Peter she sat up.

This morning, I just want you to know that is not too late for you to start walking with the Lord in your life. You can walk in the same anointing which the men and women of the first church had. It is possible for you to be a prayer warrior, a man or woman who will be so close to God and understand Him in higher levels.

It is possible for you to hear the voice of Holy Spirit and walk with Him in your life. God manifested Himself through many generations before us to all people who committed themselves fully to Him. I believe is about to show Himself powerful to the men and women in our generation. I believe God is going to walk with you if you will seek His face and obey His commandments.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I'm longing to walk with You in my life. Help me be a man/woman you intended me to be in this life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

TOUCH HIS ROBE

A woman who had been sick for twelve years with internal bleeding came up behind him and touched a tassel of his robe, for she thought, “If I only touch him, I will be healed.”

Jesus turned around and spoke to her. “Daughter,” he said, “all is well! Your faith has healed you.” And the woman was well from that moment.

Matthew 9:20-22 TLB

You may be familiar with this story of a woman who had been bleeding for twelve years; and spent all she had to pay doctors, yet instead of getting better she grew worse. When she heard about Jesus, she knew He was the man who would heal her and make her whole. So she had a faith plan in mind and intended to use that plan to get her healing.

She said to herself, ''If I can just touch his clothing, I will be healed.'' She knew this young amazing raising Rabbi who healed many, giving life back to the dead, feeding the multitude and teaching things about the Kingdom of God was the right person to bring her stolen life back. She did not doubt in her mind or fear in her heart because she knew that Jesus was a Great Physician.

She put a plan to her faith, and she didn't plan much but only to touch the garment of Jesus. Finally her faith paid off, and she got the healing she needed. This is what the Bible calls the faith with works, that if you believe in something you need to go out and get it. Knowing that the hand of God will be with you all the way and prosper you in everything you do.

This morning, I just want you to know that Jesus still saves, heals and answers prayers. He can heal your broken heart, set you free from any kind of addiction, heal your physical infirmities and give you peace which surpasses all understanding. I don't know what you are going through in life but I just want you to know that Jesus is the answer to all.

I'm here to recommend Jesus as the solution to your problems. I can say boldly that Jesus is the answer of every difficult life equation in this life. If you will go to Him with faith as the woman with the issue of blood did; that will be the best decision you ever made in your life. Go and touch his robe by faith today that you may receive your healing and peace from Him.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord I know if I will touch You, I will be healed. I'm touching You right now by faith; and receive my healing like the way the woman with the issue of blood did. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

TALKING TOO MUCH?

A person who talks too much gets into trouble. A wise person learns to be quiet.

Proverbs 10:19 ERV

I know people who talk too much and have got into trouble because of their words. We have people in our communities who are talking without thinking as the result end up hurting many in their circle of influence. Many people are afraid of people with many words because they can hurt you in just seconds with their words.

There is another translation of the above Scripture which says: In the multitude of words sin is not lacking, but he who restrains his lips is wise. This means too much talking won't get you into trouble with only men but also God. The Bible says in the multitude of words sin is not lacking, this is scary because many of us like to talk too much especially about topics which we are well aware of.

I believe that God wants us to talk and share ideas with others that's why Jesus healed dumbness from people and He still heals through His servants in this world. But I believe God wanted us to have self control in our words and be careful that our words may not be used as the tool to cause pain to others.

This morning, I just want to encourage you to ask the Lord to help you control what you say; that you may not say something bad. Ask the Lord to set a guard over your mouth, and that He may keep watch over the door of your lips, Psalm 143:3.

Try to control your too much talking, learn to be quiet if you are not needed to speak. Learn to listen to others that they may listen to you the hour you will open your mouth to talk. You need to know you can cause great pain to others if you will not control your words. Words hurt, destroy and separate friends and family without excluding loving couples. May God help you to be wise by learning to keep quiet.

****Morning Prayer***

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord set a guard over my mouth, that He may keep watch over the door of my lips. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

FIGHT FOR YOUR FAMILY

And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

Joshua 24:15 NKJV

If you will careful read four books of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, you will see that many people who went to ask Jesus for help; they asked on behalf of their family members. Many believed in Jesus first and that's why they went to Him knowing He will help their relatives as He has been helping many others.

These people had what I call no one left behind attitude, they heard about Jesus and saw His miracles; and they refused to let their relatives perish and hence they went to Jesus. There are few examples which we find in the Gospel of Mark that show people who brought their family members to Jesus that He may help them to come out from their misery.

Jesus healed Simon's wife mother who lay sick with fever; after this He healed a paralytic who was carried with four men after they uncover the roof where Jesus was. Then He resurrected the daughter of one of the ruler of Synagogue, Jairus by name who was reported died before Jesus arrived to their house. Later on the demon went out from the daughter of Greek woman, a Syro-Phoenician by birth who kept asking Jesus to cast the demon out of her daughter. We also see He rebuked a deaf and dump spirit from a boy that was brought by his father, after his disciples failed to cast it out. (Mark 1:30-31, 2:3-5, 5:22-23, 35-43, 7:25-30, 9:14-27)

This morning, I just want to encourage you to fight for your loved ones. If you have anyone who does not know the Lord in your family; make him or her to be the top of the list of your daily prayer points. If you prayed in the past and for some reasons you stopped; I'm here to encourage you to go back on your kneels for those souls that they may be saved.

The mission of Jesus is to make heaven full of souls and hell empty. I don't think you will feel good if you will inherit the Kingdom of heaven and see your loved ones weep and gnashing their teeth on the other side. Wake up and start praying for their salvation and indeed God is going to save them from sin and hell as He did for you and me.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, Lord I bring all my unsaved loved ones before your throne. Lord I'm asking for their salvation, Lord I'm asking that You may save them by your amazing grace and make to be sons and daughters in your kingdom. Lord I pray that You may touch and change their rigid hearts that they may be able to receive and accept the truth of your Word. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

WITH HIS HELP

Give us aid against the enemy,
    for human help is worthless.
With God we will gain the victory,
and he will trample down our enemies.

Psalm 108:12-13 NIV

David was the man after God's own heart that did all the will of the Father. This man was God fearing and he did not do anything without asking the direction from the Lord. He let the Lord to guide his steps and direct his ways. When you read his book of Psalm you will see the wonderful relationship he had with his Creator through those wonderful anointed words from his own mouth.

In Psalm 18:29 David says the following: With your help I can attack an army. With God’s help I can jump over a wall. David was one of the greatest warrior even lived in the history of ancient Israel. He fought against might kings and conquered them without forgetting the greatest victory that he had after killing Goliath; who was a Philistine giant measuring over nine feet tall.

David gained all these victories with the Lord's help. One thing to learn from the life of David is this; we need the Lord to help us overcome all of our enemies in this life. When I say enemies I don't particular mean people but it may be diseases, poverty, ignorance, spiritual backwardness, a certain sin such as lying, fornication, corruption or even certain curses which keep on following you in life.

This morning, I just want you to know that with God's help, you will gain the victory, and He will trample down your enemies. Don't continue fighting your battles alone; ask Jesus to come and help you to overcome whatever demon that has been making your life a living hell. Know that you are not alone; the Lord God is with you all the time.

Do not put your trust in men, because their help is worthless. They may promise to help you but end up to disappoint you; but if you will put your trust in Jesus, He will never let you down. Go to Him today by faith, and He will indeed answer your prayers.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I'm asking that You may help me to overcome all my enemies in this life for your own glory. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

HIS STRENGTH

Seek the Lord and His strength;
Seek His face evermore!

Psalm 105:4 NKJV

The Bible says in Proverbs 24:10, ‘‘ If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small. This means there is a day of adversity which each one of us have to face. When we say adversity we mean the state of hardship, misfortune or calamity. In other words we can say if you give up when trouble comes; it shows that you are weak.

The same Bible teaches us to seek the Lord and His strength. This strength may not be seen by our naked eyes but it the divine power we all need to stand in the day of trouble. One thing I have learnt is that trouble will one day come in life; and temptations will find ways to come to us so we need to be prepared to overcome them when they come.

In my personal life, the Lord Himself through the power of His Holy Spirit has been the source of my strength. He has been there fighting my battles and helping me to overcome whatsoever the enemy has brought in my life. I have learnt to seek the face of the Lord while at the same time asking Him to give me strength I need to move forward in this life.

This morning, I just want to encourage you to seek the Lord continually and ask Him to strengthen you in every aspect of your life. Ask Him to prepare you to overcome every plan of the enemy ahead of you and overcome every snares of the devil in your life. The Lord will strengthen us in His presence and we will not be able to enter to His presence if we not seek His face, and hence we must seek Him.

Do not be afraid of the devil; do not be afraid of demons nor the devices of the enemy. The Lord GOD is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take delight in you with gladness. With His love, He will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs, Zephaniah 3:17. Rebuke the spirit of fear and start your day with confidence knowing the Lord is with you.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I'm asking that You may give me strength to overcome every plan of the devil over my life. Help me to live a victorious life in your Son Christ Jesus my Lord. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

GIVE THANKS

Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 ESV

It is easy to give thanks to God in the time abundance and prosperity. But it may be very difficult to give thanks in the time of lack and need. The Bible teaches us to give thanks in all circumstances, this means in all seasons of life whether good or bad.

It is easy to give thanks to God when people praise you and say good things about you. But the question comes, will you do the same when people criticize you and say hurtful things to you? It is easy to give thanks to God in the day of your weeding; but will you do the same when you undergo divorce?

It is easy to give thanks when the Lord has blessed you with a child; but will you do the same if the Lord will take that child away from you one day? It is easy to give thanks to God the day you get a good paid job; but will you do the same the day you will be fired from that job? It is easy to give thanks to God when you get in a new relationship but will you do the same in the day of your breakup?

This morning, I just want to remind you to give thanks to God for all things in your life. Give thanks for the people who once were your friends and now are no longer in your life. Thanks Him because He gave you a chance to know them and share with them this gift of life. Praise Him for everyone who is still in your life knowing that there is a purpose for that person to be in your life in the time like this.

Give thanks for answered and unanswered prayers. Give thanks for the things which came on time and for those which delayed. Give thanks for your loved ones who are no longer with you in this life know that one day you will see them again in the kingdom of our Heavenly Father if they lived according to His will. Give thanks for your salvation while you continue being faithful before the Lord of all the earth.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly, I just want to take this moment to say thank You for all things in my life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

BIG VISION, SMALL WORLD

For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.
“Eat and drink!” he says to you,
But his heart is not with you.

Proverbs 23:7 NKJV

Many people were born with big visions in the small world. When I say small world I mean those kinds of environments and people who did not support their big visions. There are some people who did not know what it's like to get educated; because they came from people who did not have and for some reasons treasure education and hence they did not support their children in that arena of life.

There are some people who came from poverty background and they gave in their poor conditions and they didn't want to find alternative ways for better life. Those people who were born in those kinds of environment know how much it took them to break that kind of mentality poverty. I believe God puts some visions in each one of us, some pursue them but others refuse to go beyond their comfort zones for the sake of those visions.

I believe one of the works of the Holy Spirit to a believer is to remind him and encourage him to pursue the vision which God has placed inside of him. The Spirit of God helps a believer to overcome giving-up attitude and fear of failing. He encourages a person to think like the way God thinks of him; but not like the way the world think of him. He help each one of us to come out our comfort zones that we may realize there is more to accomplish in life; and there is better life for us compared to what we know or even image in our minds.

This morning, I just want to challenge you to start thinking like the way God thinks of you. If the Lord gave you a vision, regardless how big it; just know He knew that you are a right person to carry it. Do not despise yourself, because the Spirit of God in you is able to take you anywhere in life if you will just believe.

Start thinking positive, try to redo things you once fail knowing that there is a room for you to pass if you will not give up. No matter how small world you came from, know that you have the BIG God who will help you live a higher life in Him. Remember to work hard and put God first in everything and He will surely bless the works of your hands.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, help me to start thinking as the way You think of me. Help me to have a positive thinking that I may live a positive and profitable life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

THE BODY OF CHRIST

And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.

Matthew 16:18 NIV

The body of Christ is the church of Jesus Christ in this world. Jesus said to Peter, on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. He was not talking about a certain denomination or certain people from some parts of the world; but He was talking about the whole family of born again believers in His generation and generations to come.

He was talking about people from every nation, tribe and language who will accept Him as the Lord and Savior of their lives. He said that He would build His church through those people and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. In other words no devil will be able to control and conquer this church and each member of this church will live a victorious life until the day he dies.

He will be given strength to overcome sin, healed from every kind of sickness and diseases and receive miracles from the Lord himself throughout his life. Every member who walked faithful with the Lord in this life and continue until the end; he will see the Lord after this life. His absent from this body, will make him to be present with the Lord.

This morning, let's ask the Lord to empower each member of His church in this whole world. We need to see unity in the body of Christ; may He give His people the grace to forgive one another and be able to love one another. May He raise young men and women who will seek His face and go to the world to help other young people come out from every kind of bondage and addictions.

May He empower older women in the Church to stand in their watch of prayers; that they may be able to pray for their families and teach young women how they should behave according to the word of God. In the mean time that He may help older men to stand up and encourage young men to be better fathers and work hard that they may provide for their families and build their nations.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I'm asking that You may help your church Oh Lord. Help each member in the body of Christ to stand on his calling that the church may grow and prosper according to your plan. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

FISHERS OF MEN

When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at Jesus’ knees and said, “Go away from me, Lord; I am a sinful man!” For he and all his companions were astonished at the catch of fish they had taken, and so were James and John, the sons of Zebedee, Simon’s partners.

Then Jesus said to Simon, “Don’t be afraid; from now on you will fish for people.” So they pulled their boats up on shore, left everything and followed him.

Luke 5:8-11 NIV

Simon Peter, James and John were among of the first followers of Christ. They witnessed a miracle of catching a large number of fish that their nets began to break after they followed the instructions of the Lord. These men left all what they had and followed the Lord and the Lord made them to be the fisher of men.

They left everything including their houses, businesses and cities for the sake of Christ and the Gospel. The Lord used them mighty and through them the foundation of the church of Jesus Christ was built and the whole world has been blessed through their works. They gave their lives for a good cause and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it.

There is a great need of fishers of men in our generation. The church needs people who will be willing to leave everything behind and go to fish the lost at any cost. We see some who claim to do that but honestly they have their hidden agenda and some are there just for their stomachs. Some preachers have made the gift of God to be for sale and hence people are forced to give something in exchange for miracles.

This morning, I just want to encourage you to be a fisher of men in your arena of influence. People need to hear the Good News of Jesus; they need to know that all the answers to our lives problems are found in the Lord Jesus Christ. They need to know that they will not be able to see the Father expect through Jesus Christ Son of the Living God.

They need to know that there is forgiveness of sin in Jesus Christ, there is healing, deliverance and the peace which surpass all understanding. The Lord gave us the great commission to go to the world and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Teaching them to obey everything that He has commanded us, and surely He will be with us always, to the very end of the age. (Matthew 28:16-20)

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, help me to be a fisher of men in my area of influence. Use me Lord for your own glory. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
