Morning with Ebenezer

THE DESIRE OF YOUR HEART

Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart.
Commit your way to the Lord [roll and repose each care of your load on Him]; trust (lean on, rely on, and be confident) also in Him and He will bring it to pass.

Psalm 37:4-5 AMP

We have those things which we wish to have in life, there are those strong feelings of wanting to have something or wishing for something to happen. Those feelings are what we call desires, most of these desires start from the heart of someone, which when developed come to maturity and later reality before the eyes of that particular person.

Most of the time we find ourselves sharing what we desire with the people we trust; but there are what the Amplified Bible calls secret petitions of our heart, these are things which we don't wish to share with anyone even our own spouses. These are things which we wish to share with God, and God alone; believing that in His faithfulness He will bring them to pass for our sake.

You may be having things which you wish God to do for you this year. Some of us have urgent needs which we can't even wait one more day, so you are in hurry asking God that He may perform His miracle right now! Maybe you have immediate financial need, and last night you couldn't sleep thinking where and when you will get enough money to solve all of your financial problems. Some of us have relationship problems, diseases, facing rejection and the like.

This morning, I'm here to tell you that God is still in the giving business. Enjoy serving the Lord, and He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, lean on, rely on and be confident also in Him and He will bring it to pass. Don't worry, God is always on time. He will meet your need just on time, and He will give you the desire of your heart in due time.

I want to encourage you to continue trusting the Lord, I want to tell you that all your prayers have been answered. God has heard your cry, and behold is on His way coming for your rescue. Do not give up just now, God is going to change your situation and He will meet all of your needs according to glorious riches in Christ Jesus.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with  me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord I thank You in advance because all of my prayers have been answered, all my needs have been met, all of my problems have been solved. I have more than enough for myself and to give to the need. You have given me my heart desire and answered all of my secret petitions inside of me. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Morning with Ebenezer

GOD OF ALL STRENGTH

Samson went down to Timnah together with his father and mother. As they approached the vineyards of Timnah, suddenly a young lion came roaring toward him. The Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon him so that he tore the lion apart with his bare hands as he might have torn a young goat. But he told neither his father nor his mother what he had done.

Judges 14:5-6 NIV

In early 40's to the late of 60's we saw the development of science and technology as never seen before. Here is where Hollywood started making films about superheroes; these were individuals who usually possess superhuman abilities relative to a normal person and are dedicated to protecting the public. Such as superman movies in 1970's and 1980's, which the memory of them still exist in the mind of people till to this day.

On 13 September 1959 the Soviet Union sent the Luna 2 Mission which was the first unmanned(robotic) object to reach the surface of the moon. The United States' Apollo 11 was the first manned (having two people in it) mission to land on the Moon, on 20 July 1969. God gave strength and knowledge to these people who accomplished things which marveled our normal human understanding to this day.

We see in the book of judges, Samson who killed a young lion by tearing it apart with his bare hands as he might have torn a young goat. Later in chapter 15 the Bible shows how he killed one thousand philistines men by using donkey's jawbone, ve.14-16. In the days of Prophet Samuel, we see God gave the supernatural strength to David who killed Goliath and when he came back from war, women in the streets of Jerusalem danced and sang, “Saul has slain his thousands, and David his tens of thousands.” 1 Samuel 18:7.

This morning, God wants you to know that as He was with Samson, David and many more in the past, He is still with you today. The last time I lifted my eyes and look the heavens, I saw that God was still on the throne. He wants you to know, He has all strength, He can give you all the strength you need to overcome the chaos of this life, if you will simply obey Him.

I want to encourage you that, if a men can do things which can bow our minds and leave the memory of them for the rest of our lives. God can do much more than what a human being can! He will strengthen you in your darkest night, He will give you strength in the bright of the day. He will never leave you in your old age, He will protect you and your loved ones if you will put your trust in Him today. God bless you!

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord I'm before you asking that You may give me strength through the power of your Holy Spirit. That I may be able to do all what I failed in the past including my pending assignments, to do my present life assignments and that I may accomplish the purpose of my life before I come back home to You. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

LOVE COVERS

Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.

1 Peter 4:8 NIV

One of the famous and all time mentioned verse in the New Testament Bible is this, ''For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life, John 3:16''. This verse shows how the love of God covered the multitude of sins of men through the death of His Son on the cross.

Jesus taught his disciples to love one another like the way he loved them, and he said through that all people will know and understand that they were the disciples of Jesus, John 13:34-35. Love marked the whole ministry of Jesus when he was in his flesh, he did all things in love, the healings and miracles which he performed showed how much he loved us, the lost ones! What a great love is this for someone to give away his life for the sake of his friends,John 15:13.

One of the sign to know that you walk out of love, is when you will start seeing the faults of others than the good in them. Many times in our relationships with our neighbors, we tend to put to remembrance of hurtful things which they did for us in the past, every time they did something wrong. Every now and then we bring the past in front of our neighbors, we cause them to feel insecure and as the result instead of being covered by the love inside of us, they get to be exposed by unforgiveness in us.

This morning, God wants you to learn to cover the multitude of our neighbors sins, by the love which He has placed inside of us. We need to stop accusing our neighbors for what they did for us in the past, and learn to forgive them and help them to overcome whatsoever the weakness they showed us.

Let love rule, let love take control over your life. Let love be the essence of your decision makings, let love covers the hurtful things which people did for you in the past. God is love, all who does not love, they did not know God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God, John 4:7b-8.God bless you!

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord I'm asking that You may help me to walk in love. Give me strength to forgive and forget all what people did for me in the past. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Morning with Ebenezer

ALL THINGS MADE NEW

Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

Revelation 21:1-2 NKJV

For those who got a chance to live in what so called developing countries or third world countries, and later lived in developed countries or first world countries they can tell the differences. They are difference in infrastructures, standard of living, technological development, political and social system and many more.

Most of these developed countries are better compared to developing one. The Bible tells us about new heaven and a new earth, if this earth which we are living right now was created for six days and it is like this? What will that new heaven and a new earth look like? Jesus went to prepare a place for us, and since he went there, more than 2000 years have passed, I can't even imagine how it will look like!

The book of revelation tries to explain in that coming earth, ''God will wipe away every tear from our eyes, there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away, ve.4.'' The Bible goes further explaining the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, which the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass.[ve.10, 21b]

This morning, God wants you to know He has prepared a city for you. He wants you to live in this earth while knowing there is new earth and heaven after you made in this life. The way to that new earth and heaven is Jesus Christ himself, he is the way, the truth and the life. No one goes to the Father except through Him.[ John 14:6]

I will love to meet with you in those streets of gold, that we may rejoice together when we enter those gates of pearl. That we may walk in the light of that city, Jesus Christ is the light, we may bring glory and honor into it. I pray that you may make it in this life, Jesus Christ is a door of that city. Give him your life today, and he will never leave you alone.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord I'm asking that You may help me to overcome matters of this life, to live the victorious life against sin and the desire of the flesh. That I may inherit your kingdom after I finished my purpose in this life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

CRY FOR YOURSELF

A large crowd followed Jesus. Some of the women were sad and crying. They felt sorry for him. But Jesus turned and said to the women, “Women of Jerusalem, don’t cry for me. Cry for yourselves and for your children too.

Luke 23:27-28 ERV

Pontius Pilate was governor of Judea from A.D. 26-36. Like other provincial governors, Pilate was appointed by the Roman emperor. The Jewish authorities apparently brought Jesus to Pilate because the Romans reserved the right to sentence someone to death by crucifixion. Although Jesus was charged with threatening Roman domination of Palestine, Pilate is said to have recognized that Jesus was innocent.

On his way to the cross, some women were sad and crying for him. But Jesus turned and said to  the women, "Women of Jerusalem, don't cry for me. Cry for yourselves and for your children. The Lord wanted them to be aware of their sinful nature and cry for mercy first before starting feeling sorry for him. It was sin which made Jesus to be crucified on the cross, it was sin which made him to be born on the flesh and to live among us and to endure all hardships and temptations just like us.

Many times, when we are born again and know the things about the kingdom of God; we tend frequently to forget to cry for our souls, to cry for mercy and that God may continue to help us overcome the nature of sin inside of us. Most of the time, we concentrate in finger pointing ministry than evaluating the state of our own souls. We tend to point others as sinners, backslidden people and we forget that we also make mistakes and sin in many ways.

This morning, God wants you to remember to cry for your soul. God wants you to ask for your inner healing and deliverance from all of your weaknesses and faults before jumping to be the judge of others. You have many things which hinder your walk with the Lord, you need to spend a quality time to ask the Lord to minister to you before you get out to minister to others.

We need to cry for our souls, we need to cry for our loved ones. We need to cry for our communities, we need to cry for our leaders, we need to cry for our countries. We need to cry for the church of Christ in this world. God loves you, don't give up on God because He will not give up on you.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord please forgive me for being a finger pointer, fault finder and judge of others. Please set me free from a judging spirit, I surrender my life into your hands, may your will be done in me. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Morning with Ebenezer

NOW GO

Then Moses said to the Lord, “But, Lord, I am telling you, I am not a good speaker. I have never been able to speak well. And that hasn't changed since you started talking to me. I am still not a good speaker. You know that I speak slowly and don’t use the best words.”

Then the Lord said to him, “Who made a person’s mouth? And who can make someone deaf or not able to speak? Who can make a person blind? Who can make a person able to see? I am the one. I am the Lord. So go. I will be with you when you speak. I will give you the words to say.”

Exodus 4:10-12 ERV

We serve the perfect God, throughout the history of mankind God has been using the imperfect people for the service of His kingdom. When He called Moses, he put forward some excuses, saying he was not a good speaker. God asked, ''Who made a person's mouth? And who can make someone deaf or not able to speak? Who can make a person blind? Who can make a person able to see? I am the one. I am the Lord.  Then He said, He will be with him all the way and give him the words to say.

When He called Jeremiah, he brought the same excuses by saying, “But, Lord God, I don’t know how to speak. I am only a boy, Jeremiah 1:6.” Then the Lord said, “Don’t say, ‘I am only a boy.’ You must go everywhere I send you and say everything I tell you to say, ve.7.  Our God is God Almighty, there is a sense of fear which all of us face when we hear his calling in our lives because of our imperfect nature as humans.

When you ask people who are being used by God right now, they will tell you many stories on how God called them. Some of them denied the calling for sometime like the way Jonah did when God asked him to go to Nineveh, the present day Syria. But later God helped them to understand and as the result they were submissive to the will of God and purpose in their lives.

This morning,  God wants you to know if He has called you in the work of the ministry, He will sustain you. What He wants you to do what is necessary, then what is possible and to let Him do what is impossible in your life. God knows to take care His servants, He will order your steps in the right way which no man can do! Let God be your boss, serve Him with all of your heart in whatsoever area He has called you.

God will not leave you alone, He will encourage you and be there for you. He is the God who knows how your end will look like in Him. Trust Him today, don't let your situation takes you away from His precious will in your life. He loves you and He wants you to know that He is your Father, and your God.

****Morning with Ebenezer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord I'm asking that You may help me to accept and obey your voice concerning my calling. Help me to be bold and follow the direction of Holy Spirit inside of me, that I may leave according to your will. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Morning with Ebenezer

STONES WILL CRY OUT

When he came near the place where the road goes down the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen:

“Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!”
“Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”
Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, “Teacher, rebuke your disciples!”

“I tell you,” he replied, “if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.”

Luke 19:37-40 NIV

Jesus entered Jerusalem as king who riding on the donkey as prophesied in Zachariah 9:9. The crowd rejoiced and praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen. Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, ''Teacher, rebuke your disciple!'' Jesus answered, ''I tell you, ''he replied, ''if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.''

The stones will cry out, He meant if the people who were present in that time, would not praise God for sending His Son Jesus. God will even rise those stones to shout for joy for the work which He had done for mankind. In the East of Jordan River near Kerith Ravine, God commanded the ravens to feed Prophet Elijah and that he will drink water from the stream. The birds [ravens] brought Elijah bread and meat every morning and evening, and he drank water from the stream. [ 1 Kings 17:2-6]

In our daily life, we want some people to be there for us, to help us and appreciate us the way we are and what we do. Most of all, we want some people to be able to love us as the way we love them, but most of the time it comes the opposite. We may cry out and think that God has forgotten us, He don't care about our pain and hunger for love.

This morning, God wants you to know that, if those people will not do what they suppose to do in your life, the stones will cry out. If God ordered the ravens to feed Elijah in the middle of no where. God will send someone to help you in the middle of your darkness. If the one who you expected that he will be the great help for you, and he has failed you. You need to know that the purpose of God in your life will not be stopped by a man.

God will make stones to cry out, God will send people who you did not expect to help you to fulfill the purpose which God has predestined for you since the creation of this world. God will open doors which no one thought that they will opened for you. God will cause you to meet with people who you never dreamed that you will know them in your life. The stones will cry out, keep trusting in God, He is faithful. He has not done with you yet!

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord I'm asking that You may send right people in this time of my life, who will help me to fulfill the purpose which you had for me. Help me to let go who I wanted to be a part of me, but help me to accept those who you will bring for me. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

PRAYER OF FAITH

Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise. Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.

James 5:13-15 NIV

Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. There are different troubles which we face in our daily life from starting family level to the place of work. Here the Apostle James teaches that we should pray for every trouble or suffering which we face. If we find ourselves unhappy, he teach that we should sing songs of praise, sing psalms. When we start singing, we caught the attention of God to come down and listen to our praises! And when He comes, things will never be the same.

Is anyone of among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. Anoint that person with olive oil; anointing probably indicates dedicating or setting aside the person to God’s care; Mark 6:13.  That prayer which offered by faith will make that person well, and he will be forgiven of whatsoever he has sinned.

Here Apostle James covered different areas where prayer can be applied and bring forth results in the life of a person. If you having burden of thoughts in your mind, heaviness in your heart, if you are in need of physical healing and spiritual salvation. You can get the answers of all of these and solutions of them through the prayer of faith which you can offer to God through Jesus Christ.

This morning, God wants you to pray for anything which you need to see His hand move on your favor. If it is the area of finance, God can supply all of your needs according to His riches in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:19. If you have questions about what your future will hold, how things will look like? The Bible says,  I say this because I know what [the plans] I am planning for you,” says the Lord. “I have ·good plans for you [plans for your peace/security], not plans ·to hurt you [for your harm]. I will give you hope and a good future. Jer 29:11

Have faith, pray by faith. God will answer your prayer. God will respond to your faith, He will answer you according to what You have believed Him to do for you. God is waiting for you to respond in prayer of faith. Behold, He is the Lord, the God of all flesh; is there anything too hard for Him? Jer 32:27.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord I pray for these things this morning[......mention them.....]. I believe You have heard and answered my prayer. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Morning with Ebenezer

MODERN PHARISEES

“Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other people—robbers, evildoers, adulterers—or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.’

“But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner.’

“I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”

Luke 18:10-14 NIV

The name Pharisee in its Hebrew form means separatists, or the separated ones. They were also known as chasidim, which means loyal to God, or loved of God.These men were very careful to tithe, or give one-tenth of all their income as an offering to God, but sometimes they would call attention to themselves so that people could watch them put their money in the collection . They were very proud of the fact that they were observing the law of Moses, but they were uncaring.

Jesus compared them to tombs that had been painted with whitewash and looked very beautiful on the outside, but in reality they were like graves full of dead men's bones, not beautiful at all. One day one Pharisee and the tax collector went to the temple to pray. The Pharisee justified himself before God for the good works which he has been doing; while the tax collector pleaded for the mercy from God.

In the church of our day we have these people, who I call modern Pharisees. These are people who thought themselves as holy people because of the good works which they do; such as paying tithes, giving offerings, helping the pastors and ministers of the Gospel. These people like to be known and recognized for what they are doing and they have been doing. They always announce the good works which they did that they may receive praise from people.

This morning, God wants you to avoid that Pharisee like attitude. God wants you to learn to return all glory to Him for all what He has done in your life. If He has blessed you it is because He wanted you to be a blessing. If you were the first one to be saved in your family, it is because He wanted you to pray for others family members to know the Lord too but not judge them.

If you will learn to humble yourself, God will rise you up. If you will learn to give all the glory to God for what He has done for you and not call attention to yourself, God will continue manifesting Himself in the way which you can't even imagine. The heaven will be full of humble people, the saints are the ones which are willing to decrease that Jesus may increase in their lives. They are the ones who are not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and God will never be ashamed to be called their God. Shalom!

***Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord please forgive me for my Pharisee like attitude. Lord help me to humble myself before You and all people. Let me decrease that You may increase and seen in my life. May my plans fall and your purpose and plans prevail. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Morning with Ebenezer

IT WAS THE GRACE

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works,so that no one can boast.

Ephesians 2:8-9 NIV

Alexander Whyte who was a Scottish divine [Anglicanism] lived between 1836-1921, one day said, “Grace, then, is grace,–that is to say, it is sovereign, it is free, it is sure, it is unconditional, and it is everlasting.”It was the free grace which that saved a wretch like me, it was the grace which taught my heart to fear, it was the grace which remove the rejection which was in me and adopted me to be the son of the King.[ Romans 8:15-16]

This grace is free, it was given there on the old rugged wooden cross. We all sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Many times we do things which are against the Word of God, there are some of us who are being used by God, not because we are perfect but it's only by His grace which works inside of us. The grace help our inner man to become stronger than the outer one, the grace remind our position in Christ Jesus, that we are sons and daughters in the Kingdom of His Father.

This grace changed the murder Saul to Paul, it was the grace which gave boldness Stephen to preach the Gospel and killed as the first Christian martyr. The same grace helped St. John [Book of John and Revelation] who was thrown in boiling oil but remained unharmed. The same grace which saved Paul, helped him to agree to be headed in Rome, Italy 66 AD for the sake of Christ.

This morning, God wants you to know that there is a grace which saves. There is a grace which can save any sinner with any amount of sins plus all years which he spent on sins. This grace will save this soul, cover multitude of sins, and restore all years which have been spent in Egypt[ life of sin, Joel 2:25]. This grace is sovereign, it is free, it is sure, it is unconditional, and it is everlasting.

The grace is found in Jesus Christ, it was this grace which taught me that I was a sinner and I desperately needed a savior. It is this grace which keeps pushing me to humble myself before the mighty hand of God, that I He may rise me in due time. This grace still reminds me that I live in the flesh, I can't make by my own, I need Jesus to help me to overcome sin, and Holy Ghost to help me to live victorious life in this world. What a grace! What a wonderful Jesus we serve!

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord I'm asking for your grace and mercy, which will help me in the time of my need. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Morning with Ebenezer

UNEQUALLY YOKED

Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? Or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever?

2 Corinthians 6:14-15 NIV

There are those people in our lives who we loved them, cared about them and shared many things in our daily basis. These people we used to have them but when we got to know the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, these people turned to be our enemies. They criticized our decision of accepting Jesus and rejected us for our faith.

Later because we missed those old special moments with these people, we started to compromise that we may get their love. We started assuming that even though we are saved but we can just to some stuff with these old friends, some habits were not bad to recall them once in a while and hence our Christian faith was under attack because we yoked together  with unbelievers.

I have seen in my own life, doing some things in order that I may confirm with some friends or relatives who don't share the same faith with me. Later when I came to the word of God, I learnt that being a follower of Christ needs a sacrifice, it needs commitment and that you will not be able to please everyone and be a friend of all.

This morning, God wants you to know that you need to break every yoke with unbelievers in your life. If you had some friends who used to send you some photos, videos or even messages and emails which later hindered your walk with the Lord. You need to make them stop and focus on what the Lord has called you to do in your kingdom.

You need to carry your cross daily, and follow Jesus. Temptations will come, storm will hit your life and people will come and go; but if you will stand with the Lord, He will never let you go. He will strengthen you in your weakness, and deliver you in the day of trouble. God is faithful, He has called you for a purpose and He will lead you until the end.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord I'm asking that You may forgive me for compromising all this time. Today give me new strength to overcome sin and every tactics of the evil one, that I may live a victorious life in this world. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

PROTECT YOUR HOUSE

“When an evil spirit comes out of a man, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ When it arrives, it finds the house unoccupied, swept clean and put in order. Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that man is worse than the first. That is how it will be with this wicked generation.”

Matthew 12:43-45 NIV

Jesus was talking about evil spirit, unclean or demons in other words. He said when unclean spirit comes out of a man, may be through prayer of deliverance, it goes through dry places seeking areas and does not find it. Here shows that when demons are being cast out, they wonder in different places in search for refugee. Then, it says, 'I will return to my old house [ the person]. When it arrives, it finds the house unoccupied [no presence of Holy Spirit], swept clean and put in order [ when a person return to his old ways, and continue doing them].

Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. This cause the person to even have more trouble than before, because he found himself being possessed by other seven wicked spirits which were not there before. Then Jesus finished by saying it will be with this wicked generation; because it is the backslidden generation, which makes two steps forward and return ten steps backward.

It may happen you had a certain behavior or weakness which troubled you for a longtime, and later someone came and prayed that you may be delivered and you received your deliverance in that area. After sometimes you started experiencing the same feelings and thoughts which you used to struggle with in the past. As days goes on, the struggle increased and you felt shy even to share with anyone; because you once declared that you had your freedom in that particular area.

This morning, God wants you to know that along the way, somewhere you opened the door for that former spirit which used to torment you to come back. Maybe you were faithful in some areas which were used as the door when you got your deliverance but after sometimes you forgot and started doing what you used to do. Here is where that evil spirit came back with seven other spirits wicked than itself. That's why the struggle is intense now compared to the time you did not know the Lord.

I want to encourage you that, no matter what the situation which you are in right now. We have the name of Jesus, there is power in the name of Jesus to break every chain. To set free captives, to chase out demons and to loose people from bondages. Use that name this morning, go against those spirits and make sure to invite the Holy Spirit to make your house His home. God Bless You.

PRIDE OF LIFE

Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.

1 John 2:15-17 NIV

Pride is a sense of one's own proper dignity or value; self-respect. In other words we can say, pleasure or satisfaction taken in an achievement, possession, or association. The word pride of life according to Amplified Bible means assurance in one’s own resources or in the stability of earthly things. In one of us there is a sense of pride whether for our achievements or where we belong, what we have and sometimes what we know and where we are know.

If you will ask me, I will tell you, I'm proud to be the son of God and that I have been redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ. Paul said in 1 Corinthians 1:31,''Therefore, as it is written: “Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord. Here Paul was referring Jeremiah 9:24 which says; "But let the one who boasts boast about this:that they have the understanding to know me,that I am the Lord, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight,”declares the Lord."

There are some of us who boast for our education, I have seen people changed the way they used to talk and behave soon after they got promoted. Some men were very humble the time they had nothing, they respected their wives and come home early but soon they got a good paid job, the pride came in and they started being bossing instead of being good husbands and fathers. Some ministers used to be very humble, serving the Lord with all of their hearts the time no one knew them, but when they came to be known! Everything changed, they stopped being servants and they turned to be the bosses.

This morning, God wants you to know pride is the first step toward destruction, and proud thoughts will lead you to fall, Proverbs 16:18. If pride started to grow in you because of some achievements which you attained and forgot that once you had nothing. You need to know that you are on the door of destruction, and if you will continue entertaining  proud thoughts in you, by feeling that you are so important than others, be sure that you will fall soon.

You need to understand life is not all about you. If you love this world which will pass soon, the pride will grow in you like the way rust grows in an iron. You will put your trust in your education, wealth, position at work, family, parents, spouse, friends and forget that the Lord is the one worth to be trusted. Ask the Lord to forgive you for being proud of the things which will soon fed away, and start being proud because He has redeemed you by price, the price of His own blood and that's why you are reading this message today. Shalom.

CONSTANT GOD

For I am the Lord, I do not change; that is why you, O sons of Jacob, are not consumed.

Malachi 3:6 AMP

If you will ask people who have been walked with the Lord for years. They will tell you all that time, the Lord has been so good, and in every new day his goodness keep increasing towards them. They will tell you the Lord haven't change, He has been there in their sorrows, He was there in their pain, He did not left them in their loss, and He has been there with them in their happy days.

David asked God, that He should not take him in the midst of his days that he may proclaim the goodness of God for the younger generations. He saw the goodness of God, and he wanted other to know what the Lord has done for him. That's why most of the people who experienced the touch of the Lord during their lifetime, they wrote or said something about what the Lord did in their lives.

I have seen the Lord, since I knew Him, everyday He gets better to me than yesterday. The day I received Him, it was the best day ever! But as I started knowing Him, everyday He opened new page of Him for me. As I went deeper in knowing Him, I came to know better things and promises in His Word. What I have learned so far is that God does not change, is the constant God, the one who was with me five years ago, is the same who is with me right now.

This morning, God wants you to know that is constant all the time. He will never change, if He helped you yesterday, He won't forget to do it today, and He will do the same tomorrow. He will provide for your needs, He will take care of your family and protect you against all the wiles of the devil.

He will never leave you alone, He will be with you when all people are against you. He will remember your sacrifices and offerings toward the Gospel and people in need in your old age. He will remember your children, and the children of your children for your sake when you are gone. Continue serving Him in the spirit and truth, and He will remain to be constant to you.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord help me to know you deeper and deeper in my life, that I may explain and proclaim your goodness to the younger generation. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

ASK FOR HIS SPIRIT

“Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead? Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”

Luke 11:11-13 NIV

I had a chance to go to one of the super center last night, people were so busy trying to grab this and that for their loved ones. Later I discovered that today is a Valentine's Day, and hence many exchange gifts as the sign of love which exist among them. We human, give gifts and receive gifts, we give love and receive it too. This shows that we care for each other, regardless of our evil nature.

The Holy Spirit has been given in the Church as the gift. Anyone who believes have been given Him the measure of the Spirit inside who acts as the helper, comforter, counselor, advocate, Intercessor, strengthener and standby. This gift was given by God to a lost man, after Jesus redeemed this man from sin, he needed power to overcome that sin and to be the witness of the change which he experienced in Christ, and thereby the Holy Spirit was needed to fulfill that purpose.[John 16:7]

Maybe you have seen people being filled with the Holy Ghost, you have seen the gifts of the Spirit operating through different men and women of God. You have been asking yourself how will I walk in such power and anointing like others? How do they got such power and understanding the things of the Spirit? They say that God has given His Spirit to the believers, so what should I do that I may experience how it is like to be led by the Holy Spirit?

This morning, God want you to ask Him to give you His Spirit in your life. God wants you to stop wishing, but to start praying. God wants you to know that if you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ that he died and God raised him from dead, you qualify to ask for His Spirit to come over your life. He will help you to overcome sin and every kind of natural behaviors which are against the word of God.

The Spirit has been given, and as many as who ask, receive in every single day. What are you waiting for? There are testimonies of people who were filled by the power of the Holy Spirit inside their bedrooms, bus stops, while taking showers, in their cars, trains and many more places. You don't need anyone to lay hands on you, if you don't have any. What you need is simple faith, that the Word says, if we ask God for His Spirit, He will give Him to us..

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Heavenly Father, I thank Your Word. Lord I'm asking that You may help me to put at work all that I hear You through your Word. Help me to be obedient to follow your commands and keep your laws. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

PROMISE

And this is the promise that He has promised us—eternal life.

1 John 2:25 NKJV

After Peter the Apostle walked with Jesus for a while, saw the miracles which he did and understood that Jesus was the promised Messiah who was spoken in the law of Moses and prophets. Peter was curious to know something about their future as disciples, and what will happen to them when Jesus is gone.

Jesus did not hesitate to answer him, by saying: “Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or parents or brothers or wife or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God, who shall not receive many times more in this present time, and in the age to come eternal life, Luke 18:29-30.” Jesus said we will receive many times more in this present time, which in the book of Mark says, we will receive hundredfold in this life, but he also added with persecutions[ persecuted for our faith in Christ].[Mark 10:29-30]

Jesus knew where he was going, he knew where his followers will found themselves after this life. When he promised them, he did it with assurance that he was going to the his Father's house to prepare the place for them [ including me and you who believed by their message]. If this earth was created in six days, and it is this good!, having awesome and amazing features. How much will be that new heaven and earth which has been prepared for 2000 years now?

This morning, God wants you to know that there are both eternal life and eternal punishment after this life. To qualify to be among of those who will inherit the promise of eternal life; you need to be and remain to be a child of God till the end of your life. Many will come to seduce you to forget everything concerning afterlife and show you that there is no better life than this. But the word of God remains to be true, that it is appointed for a man to die once, and after that to face judgement, Hebrews 9:27.

The judgement of God will separate people as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will place sheep in the right hand and goats at his left. If you received Jesus as your Lord and Savior and remain faithful till the end in this life, you will be among the sheep. But if you rejected the word of God, and think those who called the name of the Lord were ignorant and continue to live in sin, you will be among the goats. Those in the right side will inherit the kingdom of God, while those in the left side will go away into eternal punishment. [Matthew 25:31-46]

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord I'm asking that You may help me to be faithful to you until the end of my life. Help me to resist sin, and trust You in everything in life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
