Morning with Ebenezer

SCRIPTURES

These things that were written in the Scriptures so long ago are to teach us patience and to encourage us so that we will look forward expectantly to the time when God will conquer sin and death.

Romans 15:4 TLB

One of the most powerful heritages that the LORD God has left for His people in this world is Scriptures. When I say God people, I mean both Jews and Gentile Christians; Scriptures are endless voice of God speaking through those pages of the Bible and Torah.

These Scriptures were written to teach us patience and to encourage us to so that we may have hope that one day our salvation will be fulfilled and we will no longer live under the bondage of sin and death. Jesus said, "Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away, Matthew 24:35. Whatsoever has been predicted in the Scriptures have either came to pass or will soon come to pass because the word of God is true and Amen.

These Scriptures are supposed to be interpreted by the help of the Spirit of God and not one's mind. He is the one who helped men of God in the past to write those Scriptures and He is the one who can give a precise meaning of Scriptures. In other words that no one can stand and interpret Scriptures as needed to be interpreted if he doesn't have the Spirit of life in him.

This morning, you need to ask the Holy Spirit to help understand what is written in the Scriptures. We have people in the Church who interpret Scriptures wrongly; they are there to protect the interests of their stomach and hence they do anything to make sure their interests stand. They use sacred Scriptures to promote their financial campaigns and careless about the perishing souls who are in need of salvation in Christ Jesus.

Some have put the emphasis in miracles and financial prosperity and forget preaching the Gospel of salvation and grace. There are a lot of wrong interpretations of the Scriptures out there and we need the Spirit of God to help us discern what real a right interpretation is. True spiritual and physical prosperity is found in reading and put Scriptures into practices; I pray that God may increase your understanding of the Scriptures that you may continue to grow and mature in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear God, thank You for giving us Scriptures. Lord I'm asking that You may give me the understand I need that I may interpret Scriptures and live according to what written in your Word. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
