MAKE A DECISION TO LOVE
There are
three things that remain—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is
love.
1
Corinthians 13:13 TLB
Love is a decision, it is not
that butterfly feeling that people can experience inside their stomachs. Love
does not base on feelings alone because feelings are subjective to change; but
it bases on the decision that one's make to love. For Christian love involves
loving God, and love our neighbors as we love ourselves.
Loving God means surrendering
our wills and letting God to have total control over our lives. This involves
giving ourselves to Him and obeys His commandments in our lives. Loving our neighbors
means considering them in everything as we consider ourselves; and give them
first priority on the things that matters in life as we give ourselves.
We need to love our enemies
and pray for them. This doesn't mean that we need to trust them but it's simply
means we need to never intend to pay them evil for evil. We need to make a
decision to love those outcast and rejected people in the society and
especially those who are in the household of faith.
This morning, I'm here to
encourage you to make decision to love God with your all of your heart, all of
your soul and your entire mind and love your neighbor as you love yourself.
That is what you need to do in this life; that will help you to live right
before God and people. If you make a decision to deal with everything in love
then you will have peacefully life; and get sound solutions of different
problems that will come in your way.
Make a decision to love God;
make a decision to love the unlovable today. Make a decision to love your
spouse as you love yourself and put him or her to be the first in your life.
Love will teach you to be patient with people; will give you the wisdom to
understand their struggles rather than to jump on conclusions with few surface
details you see outside of them. The greatest thing above all things is love,
then if you choose to love; you make a wisest decision.
