CHANGED TO BE LIKE HIM

And our faces are not covered. We all show the Lord’s glory, and we are being changed to be like him. This change in us brings more and more glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

2 Corinthians 3:18 ERV

Paul the Apostle wrote these powerful words to the church of Philippians; And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns, Phil 1:6. Paul was certain that the work that God has began in the Church of Philippians, He will finish it on the day when Christ Jesus returns.

One will ask as to how that work will be finished while the church of Philippians does no longer exist? What a good question! His work will be finished when all the members of the Church of Philippi in the time of Paul; and who walked according to the will of God will be raised and receive Jesus in the cloud.

Then Paul talks about profound thing here in the second Book of Corinthians; He said the glory of the Lord found in His word, keeps on changing us to be more like Him. This change takes us from one degree of glory to another; as we continue fellow-shipping in the Lord Jesus Christ and abides in His word then our lives keep on changing day after day.

This morning, I just want to encourage you to ask the Lord to change your life that you may be like Him. I know you can give a testimony that your life hasn't been the same since you gave your life to Jesus. You have been seeing a lot of changes in your attitude, behavior, prayer life and your life in total.

Those changes are not enough, you need to ask the Lord to continue touching you and help you to overcome your weaknesses. You need to love like Jesus, to talk like Jesus, and overall to live just like Him. You need to continue reading the word of God, put it into practices and make it be part of your daily life and be a living testimony before those who don't know God.

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I want to be more like your Son Jesus Christ. Help me to live the life worth of my calling in Christ Jesus my Lord and Savior. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
