MAKE A DECISION TO PRAY

And to Seth also a son was born, whom he named Enosh. At that time men began to call [upon God] by the name of the Lord.

Genesis 4:26 AMP

After Cain killed his brother Abel, Adam's wife Eve again became pregnant, and she bore a son and called his name Seth. For God, she said, has appointed for me child instead of Abel, for Cain slew him. Then Seth also had a son, whom he named Enosh. After Enosh was born something happened to people. (Genesis 4:25)

The Bible says at that time men began to call upon by the name of the Lord. In other word during this time people began to pray. Before this time good men individually used to call the name of the Lord as we see the way Abel got favor before the face of the Lord. But the times when Enosh was born, people increased in the surface of the earth and others started inventing their way of worship; then it is believed families of good men being larger, and more numerous, they joined together in social and public worship.

They had to make a decision to pray and seek the name of the Lord together. We see Noah decided not to follow the way of the world and he was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and walked with God. It was His person decision to walk with the Lord and seek His face. I believe all these people made a decision to choose God over the world; they decided they decided to seek the face of the Lord through prayers and God proved Himself faithful to them.

This morning, I just want to encourage you to make a decision to pray. Prayers will change your life, and change your heart. They will help you cover and overcome most of your weaknesses and remove every kind of fear inside of you. Prayers will give strength you need to overcome sin and the strength you need to live a holy life in Christ Jesus.

You need to pray, the church needs to pray. If you are gifted with some spiritual gifts you need to know those gifts will operate in their fullest if you will live the life of prayers. If you have a ministry in you, the only fuel to make that ministry to reach its maximum potential are prayers. God will reveal Himself in prayers and when you pray you will be preparing the good environment for God to speak with you. There is countless advantage of prayers but you need to decide to pray today if you want to enjoy them in the fullest.

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, forgive me where I was lazy to pray. Lord I'm asking that You may help me to live the life of prayers. Help me to make prayers to be part of me and pray before everything in my life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
