MAKE A DECISION
Since we have such a huge crowd of men of faith watching us from the
grandstands, let us strip off anything that slows us down or holds us back, and
especially those sins that wrap themselves so tightly around our feet and trip
us up; and let us run with patience the particular race that God has set before
us.
Keep your eyes on Jesus, our leader and
instructor. He was willing to die a shameful death on the cross because of the
joy he knew would be his afterwards; and now he sits in the place of honor by
the throne of God.
Hebrews 12:1-2 TLB
Life is a series of events that involve
making decisions in every stage. We need to make decision about everything in
life, if you start counting decisions that you need to make from the time you
get up from bed until the time you go back to sleep at night. Then you will
discover that you made uncountable decisions that made your day to be
successful or unsuccessful in one way or another.
I believe it reached a day when you heard
the Gospel and I believe it was not the first time; but that day was different
because you made a decision. You made a decision to give your life totally to
Jesus and make Him to be the Lord and Savior of your life. This decision
changed your life and brought great loss to the kingdom of darkness that
thought they would keep you in bondage forever.
Giving your life to Jesus was one of the
billions decisions that you will make in the course of your life in your walk
with the Lord. You needed to start letting go your old life style, stay away
from bad companies that ruined your characters and start fighting against those
flesh habits that caused us to sin. This process involved small decisions that
you were not even aware of them; but you made them anyway that's why you are
here now calling God your Ebenezer.
This morning, I want to encourage you to
make a decision to start living like the word of God commands you to live. I
believe with my all my heart that there is a certain dimension of grace God
will not allow you to reach there; if you will not start living properly and
obey His voice in your life. If you want to grow and mature in the Lord then
there are certain behaviors you need to fight that you may overcome them and
stay on top of them.
Maybe you have been in a church for years,
but in all those years you have been a queen of gossiping and you always cry
why God don't open some doors in your life. It's true that you have been born
again for more than ten years now; but you don't know God that deep because you
have been living in pride and so you don't want people to teach you about God.
You assume you know everything while deep down you know that you know nothing.
If you want the hand of God to touch you and lift you higher then you need to
make a genuine decision to change today.
****Morning Prayer****
Pray this prayer with me by faith and God
is going to answer your prayer....
Dear Heavenly Father, I come before You by
the blood of Jesus. Lord I'm asking that You may help me to change and start
being serious when it comes on the matters of the kingdom. Lord help me to live
the life worth of my calling by rejecting the way of the world and embracing
your way ooh Lord. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
