Morning with Ebenezer

ACCEPT THE WORD

And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as a human word, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is indeed at work in you who believe.

1 Thessalonians 2:13 NIV

People in the church of Thessalonians received the word of God Paul, Silas and Timothy with all reverence and fear. They accepted their word as the very word of God, which, of course, it was—and it changed your lives when you believed it.

Their lives were changed when they believed the word of God. Paul, Silas and Timothy they were humans just like you and me. I believe they had their share of flaws and weaknesses just like each one of us. But these Thessaloniki people received the word of God with open heart and God worked in them.

Sometimes we tend to look the faces of the people who preach the word of God. We sometimes reject the word of God from men and women of God because they don't look like us. We may miss our miracles because we want God us to send certain people in our lives and we reject those who He has already given us.

This morning, I want to encourage to accept the word not as human word, but as the word of God which has power to change your life. It doesn't matter who is speaking that word, whether he is in your standard or lower standard than you. Listen it and put it into practices, then you will see the hand of God working mightily in your life.

God will sometimes use people who you don't even except. He will show Himself in the ways that you cannot even imagine. If you receive the word of God with open heart, the word will change the way of thinking and change your attitude in life. It will transform your life style and give your life a meaning.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Father, help to receive your word with joy. I will receive your word from anyone who you will send in my life and put it into practices. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Morning with Ebenezer

FAMILY OF GOD

Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

John 8:34-36 NIV

Sin has its way of making someone a slave of it. It's like an addiction that won't leave you alone until you fulfill its needs. It will drag you in the places that you didn't imagine before you will be. It will force you to do things that will hurt you at the end of the day.

Scriptures says in Romans 6:23 that the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Jesus teaches us that everyone who sins is a slave of sin. Being a slave mean a person who is the legal property of another and is forced to obey them. In other words when you live a life of sin, you become a legal property of sin and being forced to obey its desires.

If we sin we don't have permanent place in the family of God, but if we give ourselves to the Lord and become children of God; will belongs in the family of God forever. Jesus will set us free from all unrighteousness and we will be free indeed for the rest of our lives.

This morning, I what to remind you to make sure that you are in the family of God. There are some people who go to Spirit filled Churches but they don't belong in the family of God. No all people who call themselves Christians; and attend every service in every Sunday have given their lives to the Lord. Some go to filled Spirit Churches because their friends or relatives go to those Churches.

You need to have a personal relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. You need to live a sin free life if you want to be child of Most High God. Jesus is the only way to the Father, no one goes to the Father except through Him. Jesus is the only one who can break the curse of sin and give you strength to overcome sin in your life. Give a room to Him today, and your name will be written in the book of life, the book of those who are going to heaven.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, forgive me for all my sins that I have committed before You. Lord I'm asking that You may give me strength to overcome sin and live a life worth of my calling in Christ Jesus. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Morning with Ebenezer

HE IS COMING

“Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man. People were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all.“It was the same in the days of Lot. People were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building. But the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all. “It will be just like this on the day the Son of Man is revealed.

Luke 17:26-30 NIV

Jesus gives the example of how life was in the days of Noah. He says people were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark. In other words people continued with their normal life and they had no clue that the judgment of God was coming to them.

He then gives example of the days of Lot. People were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building. The day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all. He then said, it will be the same on the day the Son of Man returns. Things will be business as usual right up to the hour of His return.

This teaches us that people have the tendency of forgetting their positions. Many live today like they will live in this world forever. No one cares about tomorrow, and no one thinks about what will happen after the end of this present life. These things have been written that we who are in Christ Jesus may not commit the same errors that people who lived before us committed.

This morning, I want to remind you to be prepared for His second coming. I'm here to tell you that one day He will come, He will come with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him. It may seems it take long but one day He will come, and you need to be prepared if you want to inherit His kingdom.

This world will pass away and everything in it, all what you see right now will one day disappear. We need to fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. If you choose to live a holy life in Christ Jesus, God will give you strength to overcome all obstacles that will come in your way. He will strengthen you and prepare you for the second coming of His Son Jesus Christ.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Father, my life is before your hands. Help me to live according to your word; I want to inherit your heavenly kingdom one day. Give me strength to overcome sin and live holy life in Christ Jesus. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Morning with Ebenezer

LUKEWARM

I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth.

Revelation 3:15-16 NIV

We have people in the church that changes as they change environments. There people who tend to be strong Christians when they mingle with devoted Christians. They tend to be like people of this world when they find themselves in the middle of people who don't trust in Jesus.

They have what I call chameleon kind of spirit. They tend to change as they change the media, and this causes them to live a lukewarm kind of life. They can't commit one hundred percentages to the Lord because they still love the way of the world.

These are people who start things and lack the courage to finish them. They tend to repeat the same mistakes over and over again because they don't learn from their past mistakes. Some of these people have been Christians for years but they don't seem to mature and grow in the Lord as they ought to.

This morning, I want to encourage you to follow Jesus footsteps. Jesus was obedient to His Father; He followed all what His Father instructed Him. You need to learn to obey the Father too; obey the word of God while keeping all instructions which the Spirit of God gives you.

If you profess that you are Christian then you need to back it by your actions. You need to remain the same no matter what environments you find yourself into. Don't let your friends and other people in your circle of influence make you to be less effective in your commitment to the Lord. Refuse to live a lukewarm kind of life but continue living a holy life in Christ Jesus.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Father, I want to live like your Son Jesus Christ. Help me to live the life that I have been called to live in Christ Jesus. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Morning with Ebenezer

ETERNAL KINGDOM

I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.

1 John 5:13 NIV

Eternal life is found in our Lord Jesus Christ. All those who have received Jesus as the Lord and Savior of their lives will receive the eternal life after this life. This means their lives will continue in Christ forever after the final judgment of this world.

Jesus said these words of encouragement to His disciples. He said, "Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me.  My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am." (John 14:1-3)

Jesus went to the Father more than 2000 years ago to prepare a place for us. He went to prepare homes for all who trusted in Him during that time and those who will trust Him until the end of this age. When He died on the cross, He had you and me in His mind. He thought about us all and He did not want any of us to perish in sin; but have everlasting life.

This morning, I want to encourage you to do the will of God knowing that He has prepared a place for you. You need to know that your service for the kingdom is recognized by God. God knows what you are doing and He will not forget your labor of love towards His name. He will reward you accordingly to your deeds in Christ Jesus our Lord.

You need to walk up in the morning and continue doing what you do for the kingdom. The world is better place because of your prayers and Christian life style. There are many people who feel safe before you because they can trust you with their things. May God be with you in everything while knowing that your work is not in vain.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Father, help me to do your will that I may inherit the kingdom that You have prepared for me before the foundation of this world. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

SAVE YOUR SOUL

For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?

Matthew 16:26 NKJV

Sometimes you may be tempted to choose things of this world against the things of God. We hear stories of people who wanted to get wealth of this world. They end up selling their souls to the devil that they may gain the temporary wealth of this world.

There are women who gave themselves to powerful men that they may get a chance of better life. We see politicians who use their influences to take advantage of poor people in the society. They tend to increase their wealth through corruption and abuse the power of their offices. They live lavish lives while the majority of their people live in unspoken poverty.

We have preachers who concentrate on showing off their success in terms of material wealth and forget about the spiritual states of the flocks. There is a huge gap between rich and poor in the Church of Jesus Christ. The Church is not paying attention to the poor; ministers are seeking to be rich and famous more than to live according to the will of God.

This morning, I want to encourage you to choose saving your soul. Whatever decision you will encounter in life it will involve both doing what is right and wrong. You need to always choose doing what is right before God even if it doesn't sound right before men. Sometimes what is right may sound old school and odd but if it the will of God will bring forth good fruits.

Read the Bible and follow the example of our Lord Jesus Christ. Learn to let the Holy Spirit of God lead you in the right path. Give a room to the Spirit of God to take control over your life. When you wake up every day learn to surrender everything to Him and let Him be God in your life.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Father, I will work hard to do your will in my life. I'm asking for more grace that I may live according to your will in my life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Morning with Ebenezer

CONTINUE... DON'T LOOK BACK!

Still another said, “I will follow you, Lord; but first let me go back and say goodbye to my family.”

Jesus replied, “No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.”

Luke 9:61-62 NIV

We tend to look back and remember our old ways. Sometimes we struggle to move on and let go our old habits. I have seen Christians who kept on falling back on the same old sins that they once denounced. We have many in the Church who call themselves Christians but still live a double life.

There are people and environments that remind us our old ways of life. If we don't stay away from those kinds of people; and environments then we may end up doing the same mistakes we did in the past. We need to fight that we may not end up living the same life that we once lived even in secret.

Our Lord said, “No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.” In other words if we decide to follow the Lord we need to put our past and concentrate on what is ahead of us. We need to look on Jesus who is the starter and finisher of our faith. We need to look the promise of God that is ahead of us and stop living in the past.

This morning, I want to encourage you to continue in your journey of salvation in our Lord Jesus Christ. You may be falling down here and there but that doesn't mean that you won't finish the race. If you will continue being persistent and trust God in everything; God will help you overcome your fears and lead you in right path in Christ Jesus.

Make sure you stay away from everything that may cause you to go back to sin. It may not be easy but you need to ask God to help you overcome whatever demons you are fighting against right now. Jesus is the only one who can help you overcome the devil and all things that give you hard in life. Trust God with your life, and let Him take total control of it.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Father, help me to stand firm in my faith in Christ Jesus my Lord. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Morning with Ebenezer

WEAKNESS

And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

2 Corinthians 12:9-10 NKJV

I have learnt that God uses weak people; He uses people who sometimes don't even qualify to be used by Him. We see God took Apostles of Jesus Christ who were normal people without even having any religious background and made them great men in the Church.

Many people who are used by God are not perfect as sometimes people think they are. They struggle with many things just like all of us. They have to fight against sin, fast and pray that they may not fail into temptations. Although they encourage others to stand with God and walk in the will of the Father; they still have their own struggles. They still need to live what they are preaching that they may not be rejected by the Lord who sent them.

Paul the Apostle had what he calls the throne in the flesh. He has a certain weakness that he kept of asking God three times that He take that weakness away from him. The Lord answered Him by saying, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” God knew that Paul was weak but He still used him and gave him the grace to endure.

This morning, I want you to know that only when you are weak is where everything be done completely by His power. God has allowed that weakness that you may get a reason to go back to Him and ask for more grace that you may get the strength to overcome.

Maybe if there would be no weakness in your life; you would be so proud in such away you would deny the help of God. Weaknesses remind us that we are still human and God is still God and perfect in all of His ways. Weaknesses remind us that we need God and without Him we cannot please Him; because our weak nature of sin won't allow us. Allow God to move in you through you weakness, every time you find yourself weak; ask God through the power of His Spirit to cover you.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Father, I'm for more grace from You that it may help to cover my weaknesses. Help me to use my weaknesses the means to draw closely to You. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

GOOD WORK

And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.

Colossians 3:23-24 NKJV

Maybe you are one of those people who many people go for help. Different people come to you and tell you many things including their secrets. You may be asking yourself that why so many can easily trust you with their things and look high of you.

I want you to know that God has given you something that is not common to many people. God has given you a task to help others reach their destiny in life. Being in this position maybe lonely sometimes; because you tend to take care all others people and at the end of the day no one remembers you.

There are times you may doing good things to people who may fail to understand your good intentions. As much as you want to quit doing what you God has placed in your heart; but still there is something keeps on pushing you. There is a fire that keeps on encouraging you to continue doing the work of the Lord in your area of influence.

This morning, I want to encourage you to continue doing the good work. If God has placed you somewhere let say your local church; make sure you do all what God is commanding you do. If you have been given a task to lead a certain group of people in a business or work make sure you do it with all of your heart.

God is watching over you, He will reward your hard work. Good things that you have been doing in the secret; God will reward you openly. Continue doing the will of God while you stay away from sin and every kind of unrighteousness. God will bring people to help you in each stage of your life, as you continue helping others reach their goals in life.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Father, I'm asking that You may help me to continue doing your work in my area of influence; while waiting for the second coming of your Son Jesus Christ. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

THE BLOOD

In whom we have our redemption through His blood, [which means] the forgiveness of our sins.

Colossians 1:14 AMP

What can wash away my sin? Nothing but the blood of Jesus. What can make me whole again? Nothing but the blood of Jesus. Oh! Precious is the flow that makes me white as snow. No other fount I know nothing but the blood of Jesus. (Robert Lowry)

There was nothing that saved us from sin but the precious blood of Jesus. It washes all of our sins and gave us a new life in Christ Jesus. There is power in the blood of Jesus. It reaches to the deepest parts part of the heart of man and changes him completely.

It soothes our doubts and calms our fears. It dries all of tears and gives us strength from day to day. It gives us peace and protects us from the snares of the evil one. When you plead the blood of Jesus great things happen, miracles take place and people get healed. When you plead the blood of Jesus, strongholds are broken and people are set free from the traps of the enemy.

This morning, I want to encourage you to plead the blood of Jesus over your life. Plead the blood over your life over your immediate and extended family. Plead the blood over your friends and loved ones. Plead the blood over your present and future plans. Plead the blood over all your finances and sources of income.

Learn to cover yourself the blood of Jesus every new morning. The blood will protect you from all the plans that the enemy has against you on that particular day. The blood of Jesus will give you strength to do all things that you are supposed to do and keep you in the perfect peace.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Father, I cover myself by the blood of Jesus today. I plead the blood of Jesus over my life and family. I plead the blood over my present and future plans, may your will be done over my life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Morning with Ebenezer

FORGIVEN AND NOT FORGOTTEN

But Zion said, “The Lord has forsaken me,
    the Lord has forgotten me.”
“Can a mother forget the baby at her breast
and have no compassion on the child she has borne?
Though she may forget,
    I will not forget you!
 See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands;
your walls are ever before me.

Isaiah 49:14-16 NIV

Do you feel like God had forgotten you? Have you ever reached a point in life where you felt like God no longer hear your prayers? Some people reached a point when they felt God was no longer interested with their lives.

I met folks who did shameful things and it reached a point they couldn't believe that God would forgive them. Some people kept on blaming themselves for some things they did in the past. It was difficult for them to accept the fact that their deliverance is found in forgiving themselves and letting go.

Maybe you did some bad stuff in the past, you failed to forgive yourself because of some sins that you think they were horrible. There are those women who had abortion when they found out they were about to conceive. The guilty of abortion kept on hunting them until now and they can't forgive themselves although God forgave them when they asked Him for forgiveness.

This morning, I want you to know that God will not forget you. Maybe you think because of some horrible sins you did in the past God is still mad at you. Maybe you think God is still holding grudge against you even after you have repented all.

I want to encourage to continue praying and doing the will of the Father. If you have repented your past sins you need to know that God has forgiven you and He has nothing against you. You need to know that God has put all of your sins behind His back as Prophet Isaiah says, Isaiah 38:17. "Indeed it was for my own peace that I had great bitterness; but You have lovingly delivered my soul from the pit of corruption. For You have cast all my sins behind Your back.''

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Father, I thank You for forgiveness of all of my sins. Help me to live a guilty free life and that I may be able to forgive myself and let go of my past knowing that I'm forgiven. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Morning with Ebenezer

LOVE THE LORD

I love those who love me,
And those who seek me find me.

Proverbs 8:17 NIV

One of the things can move the heart of God towards you is your love for Him. We see in the Book of revelation these people. And they have defeated him by the blood of the Lamb and by their testimony. And they did not love their lives so much that they were afraid to die. (Revelation 12:11)

These people in the Book of Revelation are saints who did not love their lives so much and they were not afraid to die. They did the will of the Father despite of the threats that they received from the enemy and the wicked people. They loved the Lord and committed their lives to Him, and the Lord overcame the battle on their behalf.

The Lord loves those who love Him, and those who seek Him find Him. If you have thought the Lord for the past years and you haven't seen Him reveal Himself to you. Then this year start by loving Him, committing yourself to Him and let Him have His way in your life.

This morning, I want encourage you to love the Lord. If you want to see changes in your life and the hand of the Lord ministering into you then learn to love Him. You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and your entire mind. Here you will be fulfilling the first and greatest commandment. (Matthew 22:37)

While you are doing this don't forget to love your neighbor as yourself, ve.38. If you do these things while seeking the face of the Lord you will see the great transformation in your spiritual life. You will see the Lord walk along side with you and fight all your battles.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Father, I love You. Help me to continue to love You in all the days of my life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

REDEEM TIME

Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

Ephesians 5:16 KJV

In this world we have been given a certain amount of time to live. No one knows the end of his or her time but at least we are sure that God planned our lives in limited amount of time. The writer of the Book of Ecclesiastes says, “To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted.” (Ecclesiastes 3:1-2)

There are things that the Lord planned for us even before we were born. There was a purpose in God's mind for you even before you parents met. God knew the time that He will give you will be enough for you to fulfill whatsoever He wanted you to do in this life.

We see people who are successful in their works and others who end up dying sad and poor. If you look close enough you will notice that these people somewhere when they were growing up; they were given the same opportunities. Some knew to how to making the most of every opportunity while others complained and entertained laziness.

This morning, I want to remind you to redeem the time because the days are evil. I believe you can reach your dreams in life and accomplish all your goals if you will learn to use the time that God has given you. If you work hard and be serious in your dealings; God will bless the work of your hands and you will have successful life.

There are some people who used their time well when they were in school. Some people laughed at them but now they are the ones who hold important positions in the society. The enemy will fight with you in this area of time; because He doesn't want you to redeem it and reach where God wants you to be. Don't give Him a chance, use your time properly and maximize every opportunity that will come in your way.

*****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Father, I thank You for your word. Lord forgive me for where I have misused my time. Help me to start properly using it that I may fulfill your will in my life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

THE LORD

He upholds the cause of the oppressed
and gives food to the hungry.
The Lord sets prisoners free,
the Lord gives sight to the blind,
the Lord lifts up those who are bowed down,
    the Lord loves the righteous.
The Lord watches over the foreigner
and sustains the fatherless and the widow,
but he frustrates the ways of the wicked.

Psalm 146:7-9 NIV

The LORD is the maker of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them. He the one who made a man according to His image and likeness. He put him in this world that he may be fruitful and increase in number, that he may fill the earth and subdue it.

This man who is born of woman, is of few days and full of trouble. The Lord knows what the man is facing and He always there to help him overcome every obstacles in life. The Bible says He gives justice to the oppressed, and food to the hungry. He sets prisoners free, these include people who are bound by Satan.

He opens the eyes of the blind, He lifts up those who are weighed down. The Lord loves the godly, and the Lord protects foreigners among us. The Lord cares for the orphans and widows, but he frustrates the plans of the wicked.

This morning, I want to encourage you to trust the Lord with your life. Maybe you have trusted many in the past who didn't fulfill all what they promised at the end of the day. Today I want you to dare to trust the Lord because He remains to be faithful forever. He will fulfill all things that He has planned for your life; if you will continue loving Him until the end.

The Lord knows what you are going through now in life. He knows what you experienced in the past and He knows what your future holds. He knows everything about you and the people in your circle of influence. He knows all your thoughts and even those thoughts you have no idea that you will think of them one day. If you want to prosper in life, then you need to trust the Lord who is the Maker of heaven and earth.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Father, I trust You with my life. May your perfect will be fulfilled over my life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

NATURE OF SIN

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Romans 3:23 NIV

There is a nature of sin inside each one of us. There is something that forces you to do wrong things even if you know that they are wrong. There is something that makes you to hate your brother even if you know that is against the word of God and good moral standards of the society.

You may be struggling to overcome certain sins in your life and you are asking yourself why you keep repeating them over and over again. You may think that you may overcome them by your own strength and get discouraged when you fail.

We are living in a period that not all preachers in the church of Jesus Christ talk about sin. Many so called ministers of the Gospel concentrate on encouraging people to plant seed that they may be blessed. There are every kind of doctrines and revelations on how we can get riches through planting of seeds. While we go deep into blessings we tend to forget the real problem that we all facing, the problem of sin.

This morning, ask the Lord Jesus to give you special strength to overcome sins in your life. I know you have plans for this year and wonderful goals that you want to reach before the end of the year. I want to add one goal for you, pray that God may help you to live a holy life in Christ Jesus. Building or buying a house, new car, getting married and getting a promotion may be so important to you; but don't forget that you need to prepare yourself for afterlife.

Don't live in this world like you will stay in it forever. No one knows the day or the hour that our Lord will come to take us back home to Him. Prepare yourself daily by making sure you are living a sinless life. Remember to repent quickly after you commit any kind of sin in your life. The Spirit of God will remind you to repent whenever you do something that is against the will of God. Learn to obey Him that you may be counted worth to inherit the kingdom of God.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Father, forgive me for I have sinned against You. Lord I'm asking that You may give me strength to overcome sins in my life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Morning with Ebenezer

DON'T LOSE HEART

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.

Galatians 6:9-10 NIV

Many Christians have been hurt because they showed kindness to someone who didn't even bother to say thank you. We have many saints in the body of Christ who give themselves for their churches but no one seems to recognize their contribution.

We have many wives and mothers who work hard day and night to make each member of the family feel comfortable but no one seems to appreciate their efforts. We have fathers and husbands who work hard and stay late at work that they can earn more in order that their families may live decent lives. No one seems to care and sometimes they end up being treated harshly with their spouses.

I have learnt that each one of us needs a little bit of appreciation from others especially those we love. When you do good things to people and they fail to show appreciation; you don't stop and start doing the opposite. You continue doing what you are doing knowing that God sees you; and in due time you will reap a harvest if you do not give up.

This morning, I want to encourage to continue doing good things to others and learn to appreciate small things that others do for you. Life involves the process of giving and receiving. There are some people who gave out love but they did not receive anything in return. This should not stop you on loving someone else because so and so rejected you.

If you loved someone who did not love you back, don't lose heart. That seed of love that you planted in that person and did not grow. It instead grew in you that's why you were able to let that person go without hate. God will someday bring someone who will appreciate and accept your love. I want to encourage you to continue being good and doing good this year. Don't let disappointments get the better of you, do the will of God in your life and God will open let you live to reap a harvest.

Morning with Ebenezer

KINGDOM OF GOD

Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand.  If Satan drives out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then can his kingdom stand? And if I drive out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your people drive them out? So then, they will be your judges. But if it is by the Spirit of God that I drive out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.

Matthew 12:25-28 NIV

Pharisees accused Jesus that He cast out demons by the help of Beelzebul the prince of demons. Jesus answered them by saying, “Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand.  If Satan drives out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then can his kingdom stand?

First of all we learn that there is a kingdom of God or we can say the kingdom of light. There is also the kingdom of Satan or in other words the kingdom of darkness. Both these kingdoms are active and work day and night to bring harvests in their kingdoms.

As the way God is busy sending His servants throughout the world day and night that they may preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Satan is busy also sending his agents and demons to ruin the lives of all who will be trapped by his charms. Jesus drove demons by the power of Spirit of God; this is was an initial sign for us that the kingdom of God was in control over the affairs of men. It was a direct message to us that Satan was no longer powerful as he used to portray himself before Jesus came.

This morning, I want to encourage you to choose the kingdom of God over the kingdom of darkness. Sometimes the kingdom of darkness comes with many things that they can deceive you. It always offers temporary pleasures that can make you feel comfortable and accept for a while; but it later causes permanent damages that no one can undo them unless God intervene.

Serving God and obey the rules of the kingdom may seems to be boring and less exciting sometimes. In a long run it brings forth profit that is more than what the riches of this world combine can offer you. Sometimes the profit of serving Christ doesn't seen over night but indeed if you will patient enough; one day you will reap the harvest that will add no sorrow in it.
