Morning with Ebenezer

GOD'S WILL

Bible scholars have grouped God’s will in the following categories according to the Scriptures.

1. Directive will of God (Perfect will of God)
God's Directive will concerns what He wants a person to do, or where He wants a person to go.

2. The Permissive will of God (Imperfect will of God)
Where the negative volition (free will) in man is permitted to operate contrary to the will of God. Man goes negative against God's directive will. God's absolute righteousness says that God cannot coerce man. Justice disciplines the man.

For example, 2 Corinthians 6:14, Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?
-Directive will of God. Do not marry an unbeliever. Sovereign will of God.

-Permissive will of God. You marry one anyway, resulting in misery and Divine discipline.

3. Overruling will of God
Man's freewill has limits. When the volition of man would interfere with something which God has determined to do, then the Overruling will of God steps in and says 'No'. God's overruling will can be seen in Numbers chapters 22, 23, and 24, concerning Balak's desire for Balaam to curse the Jews, but God would not allow Balaam to curse the Jews, and in fact Balaam ended up blessing them instead.
God is faithful; His will is the best for our lives. May the light of His Spirit rekindle our hearts that we may be faithful in walking in His will and obey everything which God wants for our lives according to His riches Glory in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Morning with Ebenezer

KNOW MY REDEEMER LIVES

For I know that my Redeemer lives,
And He shall stand at last on the earth;
And after my skin is destroyed, this I know,
That in my flesh I shall see God,
Job 19:25-26

Someone one day wrote a song with these very powerful fore verses: Who taught the sun where to stand in the morning? And who told the ocean you can only come this far? And who showed the moon where to hide 'til evening? Whose words alone can catch a falling star?

She continued singing that she knows His redeemer lives, and let all the creations testify. These words may seem to be familiar to you but inside of it there is a very strong message for you and me this morning. God lives, He was there since the time memorial, the Bible calls Him as the Alpha and Omega, the first and the last! Who was, Who is, and is to come.

No matter what you are passing through right now in your life; one word for you is that your Redeemer lives, who healed and restored the life of Job after all those trials and tests of life. He can restore and heal your broken hearted, heal your broken relationship and restore once again the joy of your marriage. He is able to take away your shame and forgive of all of your sins.

He is God who answers prayers, if you need Him to help you to study until you have reached your dreams; He is able to do that also if you will let Him to be the God of your life. God has a plan for your life; He wants you to see His faithfulness and everlasting love while you are still living in this flesh. Keep trusting Him knowing in your heart He will never leave you alone in all of the days of your life.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear God, I thank you for all of your goodness in my life. Now I know that you live, I believe that through you I have the victory which I mostly need today. I know because of you I can face tomorrow with expectations that all things will work together for good for me. Help me to continue believing in your Word and promises. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Morning with Ebenezer

HE IS PRAYING FOR YOU

And the Lord said, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you; that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.”
Luke 22:31-32 NKJV

I remember when I was a child in a local church which I was attending in one of the rooms in that church there was a post which written, ''A man who changed the history of the world'’ with Jesus face on it.

Every time I saw that post; I wanted to know more about that man on the post and how he changed the history of the world. Few years later when I was in secondary school that man came to me through His servants; He touched my life and changed the history of my life too.

He prayed for Simon Peter the Apostle that his faith should not fail. He knew Satan had many things against him since the Lord had made him as the rock of the Church; that's why Jesus prayed for his faith that Peter may continue trusting God no matter what will happen in his future.

Since the day I knew this man who changed the history of my life. I have discovered that He always prays for me. There are some times in life which I may feel like am lost, walking without strength and all things seem like impossible to me but in that very hour I will find Him being there as the strength of my life.

No matter what you are passing through right now; Jesus is before the mercy seat of God in heaven praying for you. He is there praying for your faith, praying for your finances, praying for your family and ministry. He wants you to know that He knows what devil knows that Jesus knows that Satan will not defeat you because Jesus is with you.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Heavenly Father, I thank you for your Word. I am asking that you may touch my life, and meet all my needs according to your riches in Jesus Christ our Lord. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Morning with Ebenezer

EBENEZER

Then Samuel took a stone and set it up between Mizpah and Shen, and called its name Ebenezer, saying, “Thus far the Lord has helped us.”
1 Samuel 7:12 NKJV

The meaning of the word Ebenezer as it was used in the Bible; it means the Stone of Help. This was the name of memorial stone set up by the prophet Samuel to mark a critical battle and victory in Jewish history.

In the New Testament Jesus remanded the Pharisees the prophecy of David concerning Himself; that the stone which was rejected by the builders has become to be a chief corner stone. (Psalm 118:22, Matthew 21:42)

Samuel used the Ebenezer stone as the sign of victory to mark a critical battle and victory; which in the New Testament Jesus used a chief corner stone as the sign of Himself. Jesus is our Ebenezer in the New Testament; Jesus is our help in this age. He won a critical battle against the devil and his armies of darkness and set us free from every kind of sin and burdens which a man had soon after the first sin.

Jesus was rejected by the builders i.e. His own people and who later came to be a savior of all men especially those who believe. Today by faith you and I can have a direct access to go to our Father through His Son Jesus. If you need anything in life right now just be encouraged that you have a stone of help who is Jesus Christ and He is able to help you.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

JEHOVAH God, I coming before you today. I am asking that you may meet all my needs and help me to live according to Your will in my life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Morning with Ebenezer

DO NOT BE TROUBLED

Now John answered Him, saying, “Teacher, we saw someone who does not follow us casting out demons in Your name, and we forbade him because he does not follow us.”
But Jesus said, “Do not forbid him, for no one who works a miracle in My name can soon afterward speak evil of Me. For he who is not against us is on our side.
Mark 9:38-40 NKJV

Have you ever met a certain man of God, who does the work of God but many people say bad words concerning him? Some of us we have been troubled by such people of God, who preach the Word of God but they have many weakness in their lives.

The disciple of Jesus saw someone who did not follow them casting out demons in Jesus name and they were troubled. May be you have been troubled with someone who does the work of God but not believe in some things which you do believe or do not worship in the church which you are worshiping now.

Do not be troubled, Jesus said,' “Do not forbid him, for no one who works a miracle in My name can soon afterward speak evil of Me. For he who is not against us is on our side. This means whatever the weakness which you may find in a certain servant of God who does miracles; the Bible says if he does them in Jesus name that indicates he is in our side.

In the mean time, even if he does not worship in the same church with you; or he does not believe the same doctrines which you believe. Just know if he does all what he do in his ministry in the name of Jesus that means he is in our side so do not be troubled in you. Keep praying for him and God of mercy will lead him in the way He wants him to follow and God will bless you and all what you are doing in life.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me and God is going to answer your prayer....

Heavenly Father, please forgive me for saying bad words concerning the ministries of your servants. Help me to have peace in what they do knowing they are doing for your kingdom. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Morning with Ebenezer

A BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE

You have said,
‘It is useless to serve God;
What profit is it that we have kept His ordinance,
And that we have walked as mourners
Before the Lord of hosts?
So now we call the proud blessed,
For those who do wickedness are raised up;
They even tempt God and go free.’”
Then those who feared the Lord spoke to one another,
And the Lord listened and heard them;
So a book of remembrance was written before Him
For those who fear the Lord
And who meditate on His name.

Malachi 3:14-16 NKJV

In these perilous last days, many of Christians who kept their faithfulness since their youth will find themselves asking what profit they had in serving the Lord in all those days in their lives. As Israelites in the days of prophet Malachi asked that question among them; is the same in our days among people in the body of Christ.

Some of us we were faithful in our offices, while other was stealing and getting riches we kept our trust in the Lord. Some of us were faithful in our marriages when our friends persuaded us to go outside our wedlock we refused because we feared the Lord. We forgave and forget; we prayed for our enemies and love them too! We gave things to all who asked us and helped all those who were in need.

Now it seems as our work and efforts have been forgotten. The devil keeps on raising questions and doubts in us concerning our life in the Lord. He is telling us we wasted our time, we served Him in vain. He is showing you so and so who did not fear the Lord and yet they prospered in their ways while you are still having the same struggles for years.

The good news is this, ‘Your name have been written in the book of remembrance of those who feared the Lord'. The work which you have done was not in vain, every good act which you did in your life until now the Lord God has recorded it. You have your reward in heaven, your name has been written in the book of life. Keep on moving God is with you that He may prosper your way and give you peace.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear God, I thank you for your love in my life. I am asking you to forgive me for thinking that my work and efforts have no importance before you. Help me to continue serving you with gladness in all the days of my life knowing my name have been written in the book of remembrance. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
