WAIT FOR THE LORD

Now as for you, dear brothers who are waiting for the Lord’s return, be patient, like a farmer who waits until the autumn for his precious harvest to ripen. Yes, be patient. And take courage, for the coming of the Lord is near.

One of the things that give the Church of Jesus Christ hope is the assurance that one day the Lord will come back. People feel comfortable to spend money today if they are sure they will get a new pay check tomorrow. The same way you won't hesitate to eat all the food knowing there is still some food in your storage.

In all generations people prepared for the coming of the Lord; they read the Scriptures and tried to study the signs of His coming and wait for Him. We are living in a generation that all the signs are coming together and we have been seeing the fulfillment of prophecies as never before in the history of this world. The prophecies of Daniel, John the revelator and Jesus Himself are being fulfilled before our own eyes.

The church needs to be aware that the time of His coming is near; now the devil is fighting with all his strength to try to weaken the church and lie to the people of God. That's why we are seeing the huge rise of false prophets and false doctrines that are preparing a way for anti-Christ and the false prophet. People of God need to be aware because the agenda of the devil is to take many people with him even the elect of God.

This morning, I just want to encourage you to continue living for the Lord. Know that one day He will come to take His church back to His Father. If you have been born again then you don't want to miss that opportunity to go and meet the Lord in the cloud. You need to be prepared and stay away from the ways of the world.

The coming of the Lord is near, don't be fooled by the way the world goes; you are not of this world and there is nothing for you here. Live for the Lord and do good; you need to be a living testimony to the non-believer that they may see the Lord Jesus Christ through your life. I pray that God may remember you on that day when He comes back to take His church back to heaven.
