VICTORY OVER SIN

If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.  If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us.

1 John 1:8-10 NIV

We were born in a nature of sin, after the fall of a first man then all generations after Him were born in the guilty of sin. In chapter four of the Book of Genesis we see the first murder committed by Cain who was the brother of Abel. He decided to kill his brother because he got favor before the eyes of the Lord; for he brought offerings according to the directions of the Lord while Cain did according to the dictates of his own heart.

Sin started spreading among the sons of men, when the earth was populated many started seeking other ways of worship; and created false gods and rejected the true God who created the heavens and earth. Since that time we are all guilty of sin in one way or another; that's why you can ask why even a two year old child let say a boy can show some signs of rebellion to his parents. He may not understand what he is doing; but it is the sin in him that manifests itself through those small acts of rebellion.

Without God we cannot do anything right; always there will be a desire inside of us to do things that are against the will of God in our lives. You can go out there and read every wonderful book that you can get and obey all the principles on how you should live right and be a good person; but all of those cannot cure you from the curse of sin that came down from Adam. Here is where Jesus comes to the picture and that's why the whole world needs Jesus because He is the only one who can save us from ourselves.

This morning, you need to know that in Jesus Christ there is a victory over sin. Jesus is the only one can save us from our own selves; and without Him we may end up committing suicide when we face difficult challenges in life. Many have done that because they had no Jesus in them to help them overcome what was eating them inside. This Jesus not only saves us from the world but He saves us from our own selves.

This Jesus can deliver you from the curse of sin that has been eating your family generation after generation. He is the only one who can break the chains of Hades over your life and give you the freedom you need to excel in this life. We need Jesus, I need Jesus and you need Jesus too! Let's not us forget that without Him we cannot do anything and start living the life of depending on Him in everything.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I come before you by the blood of Jesus. Lord I'm asking that You may forgive me from all of my sins. Wash me in the blood of your Son that I may be worth to inherit your heavenly kingdom; and give me strength to overcome sin in my life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
