Morning with Ebenezer

HE CARES

How we thank you, Lord! Your mighty miracles give proof that you care.

Psalm 75:1 TLB

Some people claim that there is no God. The Psalmist David put this way; Only a fool would say to himself, “There is no God.” And why does he say it? Because of his wicked heart, his dark and evil deeds. His life is corroded with sin, Psalm 53:1. David says only a fool would say, "There is no God.''

It takes foolishness to deny that there is no God but the wise know that God is there. They know that God real cares and this world did not created on its own or created from some unknown forces of nature. If someone will come and tell me there is no God, I will tell Him, I have seen God in my life. He has touched my life, forgave my sins, healed me and gave me the hope to inherit the coming Kingdom.

The body of believers knows that God live, He is alive and ready to help anyone who goes to Him by faith. This God is the one who balances everything in this world, who created both seen and unseen creatures and who made a man according to His image and likeness. Even if few fools will urge that there is no God and that God does not exist; that will never take away the truth which has been sealed in the hearts of believers on how God touched and changed their lives.

This morning, God wants you to know He cares about every single detail of your life. He is still on the throne; He has a better plan for your life. He has many good plans for your future and you will be a victor in everything and not a victim. Do not give up in life because your God, your Father is still in control over everything which is happening right now.

He has done miracles to many people who trusted Him, He will come and do to you too if you will not wave in your faith in Him. The enemy may come and fight against you like a mighty wind but the hand of the Lord will cover you and protect you from harm. May God give you strength to continue moving forward in your faith in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You that You have been caring for me until this day. Lord I'm asking that You may continue holding my hand that I may walk with you in all the days of my life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

 HOPE

Yet this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope:
Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.

Lamentations 3:21-22 NIV

Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine! O what a foretaste of glory divine! Heir of salvation, purchase of God, born of his Spirit, washed in his blood. In the normal life things don't always add up; one plus one is not always two; but with Jesus there is still hope for tomorrow.

There is hope that Jesus will come and take you away from our misery and problems. There is hope that present day problems will not last forever and one day Jesus will rescue you from all of them. There is hope that there is a good future for you and the glory of latter days of your life will be greater than the former days.

There is hope that after the death of this body, you will be together with the Lord. There is hope that the Lord will sustain and protect you from all the snares of the devil. No matter what comes in your way there still hope in Jesus that your strength will be renewed. When life doesn't add up, there is hope inside of us that Jesus will come and solve the difficult equations and restore everything back to normal.

This morning, I don't know what you are passing through now but I just want to encourage you to put your hope in the Lord Jesus Christ. If you are facing family problems just put your hope in Him. If you have financial problems or you are not certain what you want to do in your life and what the future will bring to you just hope for the best from Him.

There is joy and peace which surpass all understanding when you put your hope in the Lord. You will not be shaken with what is seen but you will be at peace knowing that God will surely do what He has promised.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, Help me to continue hoping in You no matter what I will be going through in life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

GIVE THANKS

Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good!
For His mercy endures forever.
Let the redeemed of the Lord say so,
Whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy,
And gathered out of the lands,
From the east and from the west,
From the north and from the south.

Psalm 107:1-3 NKJV

Secular people understand the importance of giving thanks, that's why in the country like United States they have a Thanksgiving Day today. Many meet with their families and close friends that they may give thanks for all the blessings of the year.

Thanksgiving is one of the famous celebrations in the United States; since it has a nature of reuniting families together and brings those who live far from their homes home. If even people who do not know God, know the importance of giving thanks for their lives and for the fellow family members and friends for their contributions in their lives. How much more people who are in Christ Jesus, who has been redeemed by the precious blood of Jesus?

Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for the He is good! For His mercy endures forever. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy. These were the words of the Psalmist David, who said redeemers (born again Christians) need to thank God for He is good. He keeps on forgiving us and His mercy is new every morning. He has redeemed us from the hand of the enemy Satan; and set us free from sin and every kind of bondage of the enemy.

This morning, I just want to encourage you to take a time to thank God for the gift of life and salvation. Thank Him for everything that He has done for you and your loved ones. Thank Him for redeeming you from sin and death; thank Him for allowing you to experience the joy of salvation and blessings of the New Covenant.

The Lord is God, He will sustain and give you prosperity if you will continue being faithful before Him. He will take care of your family, friends and help you to fulfill your dreams if you will put your trust in Jesus. His blood will protect you everywhere you go and give you peace for the rest of your life.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord I thank You for everything which You have done for me until this day. I give you praise and honor for saving me from sin and hell. Lord I'm asking that You many continue standing my me in all the days of my life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

HE WILL MAKE YOUR PATHS STRAIGHT

Trust in the Lord with all your heart
    And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways submit to him,
And he will make your paths straight.

Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV

There are some things you did in your past, if you be given a chance to go back; you will try to do them different. There are some decisions which you made, if you will be given a chance to go back; you will decide differently. There are some people you invited in your life, if you will be given a chance to go back; you will not permit them again in your life.

We did things which we regretted later, some people came in our lives and caused much pain and sorrow. There are some decisions we made and our lives have never been the same again; those choices shaped our present situations and sometimes we wish to go back and change everything. The bad news is you cannot do anything about your past than letting it go; but you can do something about your unknown future if you will trust it to the known God.

The Bible says if you will trust in the Lord with all of your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him. Then He will make your paths straight. This means He will not allow you to make the same mistakes you did in the past. He will direct you on how you should spend your finances, choice friends and where you should go to worship in your local area.

This morning, I just want to encourage you to submit your ways to the Lord Jesus Christ. I know you have plans; there are goals which you want to attain in life and decisions which you need to make. If you will make and decide everything for your own; you may end up repeating the same mistakes you did in the past.

You may end up having the same fate like your parents which you once refused to end up in it. You need the Lord to show you all the do's and don'ts; the time and the season of everything in your life. Why don't trust your future to Him today? It's free, what you need to do is to trust Him as the Lord of your life; telling Him all of your plans before doing anything and ask Him to direct you in a right path. He is faithful and His peace will direct you to His will.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. I commit my ways into your hands, please Lord direct me in the right path which I should follow. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

HE STILL FORGIVES

If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us.

1 John 1:8-10 NIV

Jesus forgives sin, Jesus save people from death and hell. Jesus is the Savior of the whole world and Lord of Lords and King of Kings. The Bible says if we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. This means each one of us in one way or another we have sinned against God.

The Apostle John continues by saying if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. Here we need to acknowledge that we are sinners and we are desperately in need of a Savior. Then confess our sins without making excuses and receive the free gift of forgiveness in our hearts.

Maybe you are coming from religious background which teaches that if the number of good deeds will exceed the number of bad deeds you will be worth to inherit the Kingdom of God. The Bible is clear that without receiving Jesus as the Lord and Savior of your life will not inherit the Kingdom of God. You need to confess your sins that you may be forgiven and given the right to be a child of God then you will inherit that coming Kingdom.

This morning, God wants you to know that His Son still forgives sins. Jesus is still waiting for you to go to Him and confess all your wrong doings if you haven't done before and ask Him to give you victory over sin. His Son is still in the saving business, He still saves sinners, the outcasts, cursed, neglected and rejected folks from every background.

If there is any kind of sin in your life, don't feel shy to go to Jesus to ask for forgiveness and power to overcome it. His Spirit still empowers everyone who goes to Jesus by faith asking for the power to overcome sin. Jesus is Lord, He still saves, deliver and heal, go to Him today!

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord please forgive me for my sins, help me to overcome sins through the power of your Holy Spirit that I may live a holy life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

HEAVY HEART

Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop: but a good word maketh it glad.

Proverbs 12:25 KJV

Have you ever met a person with a heavy heart? The whole outside appearance reflect what is on the inside. Many of us have experienced heaviness in our hearts in one way or another. This heaviness can be caused by various reasons such as sad news, being disappointed, spiritual oppression, grief or even physical pain.

There are some of us who are experiencing heaviness in our hearts because we have been disappointed by our own actions. We wanted to be like so and so and but every time when we tried; we fall short to be like them and this was a big disappointment. We did not know that they had their own purposes in life and God assigned other purposes for us.

God never intended you to be like so and so; but when you were created He wanted you to be a new creation of its kind among other creations. He had a unique purpose for your life and a peculiar assignment that’s why you were born in different family and environments. You fought to copy someone who you admired and you forgot that God did not create copies; but He made originals and He wanted you to be His original and not copy of someone else.

This morning, God wants you to give you a garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. God will give you a new song on your lips, He will cause you to praise Him before your discouragements and get rid the heaviness in you. Present yourself before the Lord and pour your heart and let Him heals and binds its wounds.

God is the only one who you can truly trust with the matters of your heart. People may come and seem to care but they cannot understand the way God understands you. He has a good plan for your life, He knows the thoughts that He thinks toward, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you, to give you a future and a hope, Jeremiah 29:11. Be encouraged because you will never be alone, the Lord will always be there for you.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I pray that You may take away the heaviness of my heart. Lord please help me to experience the joy of your salvation. Give me the strength to move forward in life knowing that You have better plans in store for me. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

PRAISE THE LORD

Praise the Lord!
Praise the Lord, O my soul!
While I live I will praise the Lord;
I will sing praises to my God while I have my being.

Psalm 146:1-2 NKJV

The entire last chapter of the Book of Psalm is all about praise, (chapter 150). David lived the life of praise, He praised God in everything and praise was part of his life. He thanked God for His kindness and mercy towards him and the whole nation of Israel. He wrote songs of praise, danced before the Lord and worshiped Him in the Spirit and truth.

Seven times a day I praise You, because of Your righteous judgments, Psalm 119:164. These were the words of King David, who lowered himself before the Lord through praise while meditating what the Lord has done in his life. There are many things to learn through the life of David, he had a unique connection when it comes to praise. He spoke words before the Lord which no man could do without the help of the Spirit of God.

He wrote the Book of Psalm, in which he shared testimonies of what God did for him and the whole house of Israel. He talked about the coming Messiah, and praised His work in advance. He was the man after God’s own heart, and the Lord blessed him because he feared Him with all of his heart. I'm challenged every time when I study the life of David; I admire his uniqueness approach to God and his love for the Lord GOD of Israel.

This morning, I just want to encourage you to set a time to praise God in this day of the Lord. Make it an agenda to have a set time to praise God for all what He has done in your life, what is still doing and what is going to do for you. Praise Him, worship His holy name and proclaim His mighty deeds with your lips. Do not be so busy fighting the enemy and forget about praising the Lord for the victories and spoils you have recovered.

Praise Him because you are still alive, praise Him that you can still dream, praise Him for the food which is providing for you and your loved ones. Praise Him for the gift of salvation, praise Him for your spouse or for young people your future spouse. Praise Him because you will not die but live and proclaim what the Lord has done in your life.

Praise Him for answered and unanswered prayers. Praise Him for your health, praise Him for where you are now in life, and praise Him for where you are going. Praise Him for your country, praise Him for your family and praise Him for everything that He has done in your life. Praise the Lord Saints!

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I will bless you all the times; Your praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make its boast in You Lord, the humble shall hear of it and be glad. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

BELIEVE HIS MESSAGE

So they rose early in the morning and went out into the Wilderness of Tekoa; and as they went out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, “Hear me, O Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem: Believe in the Lord your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper.”

2 Chronicles 20:20 NKJV

In every generation God sends His servants, the prophets as the tool to help people walk in His ways that they may prosper. These people rise early in the morning and remind people the purpose of God in their lives. They rebuke what is wrong, encourage the weak and build the body of believers to continue in their faith with joy.

King Jehoshaphat knew about these wonderful servants of God, and that's why he said these words to inhabitants of Jerusalem. ''Have faith in the Lord your God, and you will stand strong [be secure/safe/established]. Have faith in his prophets, and you will succeed." He knew if people will put their trust in the Lord, nothing will make them to be shaken and if they will obey His prophets they will succeed in everything they do because of following what the Lord speaks through His prophets.

God is still speaking even to this day. He is still sending His prophets to preach the Gospel to people throughout the world. He is still calling people to repent and forsake their bad ways that they may prosper in spirit as well as in flesh. He still reminding people to give tithes and offerings that they may enjoy financial success throughout their lives. He is still speaking through the pages of the Bible every-time you open it. The question comes do you hear and obey?

This morning, God wants you to know that true prosperity comes by hearing and believing His message through His servants the prophets. When He sends His word, He will send it through His servant. If you will receive that Word as the voice of God and work on it. God will bless you for your obedience and do whatever He promised through His Word.

If you will humble yourself and stop reasoning everything and let God be God. He will touch your life, He will open doors which you could not even imagine that will open. He will touch people to bless your life and bring you to the top of everything you touch. He is faithful, continue putting your faith on Him and believing the message from His servants, the prophets.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord help me to hear and obey your voice. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

LEADERSHIP OF HOLY SPIRIT

But when they did not find them, they dragged Jason and some brethren to the rulers of the city, crying out, “These who have turned the world upside down have come here too.

Acts 17:6 NKJV

If you study the life of Apostle Paul and others Apostles of the first church, there are some things common in all of them. All of them were submitted to the leadership of Holy Spirit, they went were the Spirit sent them and did all what the Spirit of God commanded them. For them the Spirit of God was not just a third person of Godhead; but it was God himself operating in them and they feared and obeyed Him in everything.

Through their obedience they were able to turn the world of that day upside down, and every city they entered the foundations of those cities were shaken and people repented from all of their sins. It was the Spirit of God who worked inside of them and manifested through them. Miracles happened; people were healed and rose from dead through these mighty men of God.

They knew the importance of giving a leading role to the Holy Spirit; they understood that without Him they could not do anything. They did not depend their own religious knowledge and the sound doctrines they received from their fathers to change the lives of people. They depended 100% to the Spirit of God, they did not depend on human wisdom but by power they spoke the Word of the Living God with boldness.

This morning, God is seeking people who will be willing to submit their lives under the leading of His Spirit; that He may use them. God is still looking for people who will be willing to be used by Him; that He may prepare them and equip them for the work of the Ministry in these last perilous days.

If you hear the call of God in your life, don't run away from it. God has a good plan for your life; He wants to use you to His instrument to bring peace and joy to multitude of people who are lost in the darkness. Don't say how I will start, I don't know anything and I'm nothing just obey His call and He will do the rest.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I'm willing to accept your call. Use me according to your will; fill me with your precious Spirit that I may be effective in any area which you will call me. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Morning with Ebenezer

FINISH THE RACE

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.

2 Timothy 4:7-8 NIV

Paul was charging his spiritual son Timothy to preach the Word; to be prepared in season and out of season; to correct, rebuke and encourage with great patience and careful instruct the flock of the Lord. He started by reminding him about his own life, the way he ministered and suffered for the sake of the Gospel. (2 Tim 4:1-8)

He encouraged him to continue walking in his ways and the way of the Lord that he may finish what the Lord had started in him. He said that he had fought the good fight, and finished the race and in the mean time kept the faith. He was looking forward to the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to him on that day and all who longed for his appearing.

These words of Paul taught us that there is a battle to fight in this journey of salvation. There are races set before us and the victories to be won for the Lord while keeping the faith of the Lord Jesus Christ inside of us. Paul talked about the crown of righteousness which will be given to the people who were right with God in their hearts and who lived right. This crown will be eligible to those who will fight the good fight of faith and finish the race, the question comes, and will you be among of them?

This morning, I just want to encourage you to continue fighting the good fight of faith and finish the race. Sometimes things can be difficult even to strong believers; to people who spent their whole lives in the church. This does not means the Lord is not there, but it is just the indication that there are different seasons in life and each season comes with its own significance.

Trust the Lord, fight a good fight and keep the faith of the Lord Jesus Christ in everywhere you go. Be strong and do not fear the devil, know that He is the defeated foe. There is nothing which he can plan against you; that the Lord cannot save you. The crown is before you; make sure that you will receive it on that day.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I'm asking that You may give me strength to fight a good fight, to finish the race and keep the faith of your Son Jesus Christ. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

FIRE

When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up—the flames will not consume you.

Isaiah 43:2 TLB

Fire is used in various work such as landscape modification, hunting, cooking, smoking hides and meat to preserve, heat treating stone for tools, wood working, making charcoal, fire to repel predators, heating shelters, lighting(torches), communication-signaling and etc.

Fire has brought a lot of merits to a modern man and its discovery was a turning point in the cultural aspect of human evolution that allowed humans to cook food and obtain warmth and protection. The Prophet Isaiah who lived 750 before Christ talked about walking through the fire and by the power of the Spirit of God he promised Israel will not be burned.

Later 600 years before Christ the Bible talks about three young men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who were the friend of a prophet Daniel. These young men walked through the fire in Babylon before King Nebuchadnezzar and they were not burned, (Dan 3:25-27). These words of eagle Prophet Isaiah came to pass through these young courageous men and these words are still applicable to you and me even to this day.

This morning, God wants you to know was the one who rescued Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego from the furnace of fire, and He will rescue you too! Whatever things which cause your heart to be burn, if there is any reason which makes you to be awake all night, if there is disease or sickness that I have been troubling you just know God is able to save you from it.

He is the God of all universe but remember He created each and every one of us; He is more concerning with us individual as He concern with the matters of all universe. If you are passing through pain just know He understands, if you are passing through temptation just be at peace that He knows. His only begotten Son was tempted and overcame them with unforgettable victories. God before His this morning and open up to Him, and He will see you through your situation.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, You are the calmer of the storm. You were the fourth person in the furnace of fire who rescued Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. Help me overcome and pass through fire in this time of my life. Give me victory in the midst of my troubles that I may praise your Name before all people. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
