Morning with Ebenezer

USE YOUR POTENTIALS

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,

Ephesians 3:20 NKJV

The day you were born again, the Holy Spirit came into you as indwelling power within your heart. When the time came and you received the baptism of the Holy Ghost, He came into you as the infilling power in you. He once came to dwell within you and teach you the things of God and how you are supposed to walk in the faith of Jesus Christ our Lord.

Later He came as the infilling power to fill you with power you need to overcome every forces of darkness through that power which works within you. There is a potential energy of the Spirit of God within you, through that power you can do things which the normal mind of man cannot do or even get to understand.

Potential are latent qualities or abilities that may be developed and lead to future success or usefulness. In other words we can say having or showing the capacity to become or develop into something in the future. There is a potential inside of you which has been developed by the Spirit of God since the day you said no to sin and yes to the salvation which is brought by faith in Jesus Christ.

This morning, God wants you to start using your potential to build His kingdom. There are some who were given the ability to sing soon after they received Jesus; they saw inside them the ability to sing and minister through music. Years have passed and they cannot even dare to sing in a local fellowships and they blame God as to why He is not using them.

You will not know how strong your hands are until you start lifting heavy stuffs. You will not know how much power the Lord has invested in you until you start using it for the sake of the Kingdom. You will never understand how faith works until you start using it in the time of trouble believing God for miracles.

I have learned that sometimes we don't know how strong we are in life until we face challenges. So use your potentials, use your faith, walk in love, stay connected to the Kingdom. Trust God, praise Him and continue being faithful in all of your doings.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord help me use whatever You have stored in me to build your kingdom that your name may be exalted in all the earth. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Morning with Ebenezer

HIS EYE IS ON THE SPARROW

Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will.  But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.

Matthew 10:29-31 NKJV

Sparrow is a any of several small dull-colored singing birds feeding on seeds or insects. In the days of Jesus two sparrows were sold for a copper coin, but Jesus said not one of them falls to the ground or died without the Father knowing it. He then continued saying even the very hairs of our heads are all numbered.

Then He encouraged His disciples by saying, ''So don’t worry! You are more valuable to him than many sparrows. He meant that we are more valuable to our Heavenly Father than many birds which die according to His will. There are words in the Gospel hymn called, “His Eye On The Sparrow”, which are as follow.

Why should I feel discouraged?
Why should the shadows come?
Why should my heart feel lonely?
And long for heaven and home

When Jesus is my portion
A constant friend is he
His eye is on the sparrow
And I know he watches over me
His eye is on the sparrow
And I know he watches me

I sing because I'm happy
I sing because I'm free
His eye is on the sparrow

The author knew if God watched over Sparrow, He would watch over His affairs and there would be no reason to fear.

This morning, God wants you to stop fearing about the matters of this life. He knows what you need, He knows where you want to reach in life and He is more than willing to take you there if you will faint not. He has His set time to favor you so do not be afraid.

Start knowing that God watch over you and He will not allow the enemy to destroy you. Put your faith in His word, walk boldly knowing you have been given authority over principalities and power of darkness in the name of Jesus. You are a child of God and His eye is on the sparrow, and I know that He watches you.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, Lord I surrender all my fears before You. I will walk by faith knowing You will always be there to take care me. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Morning with Ebenezer

ONE DAY JESUS WILL CALL MY NAME

He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.

Revelation 3:5 NKJV

There is a day coming before us in which those who had put their trust in the Lord in this life will be called by their names. These will be the people whose name has been written before the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who was slain.

These will be people who did not defile their garments; who walked with Jesus in white, and they kept watching until the end. They did not compromise the Gospel for the sake of world fame nor material things. They repented when they went astray and lived the life of prayer until the day they died.

I want my name to be on that list, I want to get so close to Him that I may be among the few who will be called by the Lord Himself. It is the will of God that none of us should perish but all be saved by the blood of the Lamb that our names could be written in the Lamb book of life.

This morning, God wants you to fight that you may overcome this world. He wants you to know that if you will overcome, He will not remove your name from the book of life. Jesus himself will confess your name before His Heavenly Father and before His angels. What a glory!

I just want to encourage you to continue in your walk with the Lord with confidence. Don't sit down and look into people who claim to be Christian but live contrary with the Scriptures. Don't allow to be taken with every wave of doctrines out there because not all preach for Lord's sake but others for their own stomach. Keep watching in prayer and the Lord will bless you.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I'm asking that You may give me strength to overcome this world that I may inherit your Heavenly Kingdom. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Morning with Ebenezer

LAID HIM IN A MANGER

And while they were there, the time came for her baby to be born; and she gave birth to her first child, a son. She wrapped him in a blanket and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the village inn.

Luke 2:6-7 TLB

Manger is a long open box or trough for horses or cattle to eat from. This was the place they laid our Lord Jesus Christ when He was born. They couldn't find a place because the guest rooms were full. The King of Kings and Lord of Lords was not born in the great Temple of Solomon or Ancient Roman mansions, but He was born humbly in an animal stall.

Most of us have once asked ourselves questions why we were born in the families which we have now. Maybe you have asked yourself why you lived and grow up in some environments which were harder compared to others. Some kept asking themselves why they were born in war zones, where they did not know the taste of peace and prosperity.

There are those who were born in poor families, lost their parents in their tender ages and faced the world by themselves. Each and every one of us has a story, even those born in developed countries had everything; but you can still find some questions in them which no man can answer them.

This morning, God wants you to know that you were born for a purpose. Jesus was not born in a big hospital, rich or priest family but all of those did not prevent Him in fulfilling His purpose. God allowed you to be born and live in the environments which you are in right now for a reason. He had something in mind for you even before your father and mother were even born. He knew that if you will stand still and trust Him, you will influence and touch your world when the time comes.

Don't allow your background, present situation or fears of failures in the future prevent you in fulfilling your purpose in life. You are not here by accident even if you were born outside the wedlock, encourage yourself, keep fighting for what you believe God has put in your heart. If you stick a little bit longer, the Lord will show up and help you to fulfill your purpose and put the devil to shame.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord show me how I will fulfill the purpose of my life. Teach me what I should do that I may abide in your word and do what You called to do in this life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

FEELING DISCOURAGED?

Trust in the Lord with all your heart
    and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.

Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV

Have you ever reached a point in life where you are so discouraged with your situation in such a way you feel like prayers have no effect? I have met some people in my walk with the Lord who faced storms in life and it reached a point they did not want to do anything with God or anything which involves worship.

Poorly many blamed God for their misery and troubles in life. Some have suffered beyond our understanding and at the end of the day God was the one to blame. Without knowing all they experienced was the work of the devil and Christ came to set us free and save us from all worldly misery. One day Evengelist Reinhard Bonnke said these words:

In fact the Bible as a whole does not display marked toleration of suffering. Unlike all other religions which demand resignation, Bible faith protests against illnesses and pains. In the first five books of the New Testament - that is more than half of it - Jesus leads an attack upon physical suffering as the work of the devil. Christ displayed no patience with the world’s misery.

This morning, God wants you to know that He sent His Son that you may have life and have it more abundantly. His Son did not come that you may continue living in your father's father misery, laying in your generation poverty or being possessed with the same demons which has been there in every generation of your family. He came that you may have total victory in every aspect of your life.

Don't be discouraged with your present situation, be encouraged with the fact that God does not change. If He helped you yesterday, He will not prevent Himself to do again today! He is faithful, He is merciful, He is long suffering, He cares about you and He is more than willing to help with everything that bothers you. Have faith!

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord help me to trust in You with all my heart, that I may lean not on my own understanding. Teach me to submit to you in all my ways, knowing You will make my paths straight. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

GOD OF MIRACLES

How awe-inspiring are your deeds, O God! How great your power! No wonder your enemies surrender!  All the earth shall worship you and sing of your glories. Come, see the glorious things God has done. What marvelous miracles happen to his people!

Psalm 66:3-5 TLB

The Bible is full of miracles that God did to the sons of men. There a lot of testimonies from people who once did not trust the Lord on how He transformed their lives and touch them in special ways. No one who was touched by God remained the same, all who experienced His miracles kept on proclaiming them until they day they die.

We see in the Book of Psalm the way King David described the faithfulness of the Lord God Almighty; who ministered to both poor and rich, elders and youths, men to women and transformed their lives by the word of His power. He was a king but still he feared the Lord and proclaimed what He has done for Him until the day of his death.

How awe-inspiring are your deeds, O God! How great your power! No wonder your enemies surrender! These were the words of King David who saw the faithfulness of God both in the wilderness when no one knew Him and in the City of David, Jerusalem when He was King over Israel.

This morning, I just want to encourage you to put your faith in the God of miracles. He did not do miracles in the Bible or in the ancient times but He is still doing to His people until this day. If you are stuck in your situation and you asking a miracle from God just keep asking because you are in the right place.

God will do miracles in your life that you will tell about as long as you live. Miracles are not for some special people in the body of Christ; or some group of people with a certain religious background. Miracles are for everyone who is in Christ Jesus, who has received Jesus as the Lord and Savior, so continue trusting in Him.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Heavenly Father, I believe in your Mighty Name. I believe in miracles, I believe you have miracles in store for me. Thank You in advance for the all miracles that you are going to do in my life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

FEELING ATTACKED?

Be careful—watch out for attacks from Satan, your great enemy. He prowls around like a hungry, roaring lion, looking for some victim to tear apart. 9 Stand firm when he attacks. Trust the Lord; and remember that other Christians all around the world are going through these sufferings too.

1 Peter 5:8-9 TLB

Do you want to leave Christ fearing more attacks from the devil? Have you faced series of attacks in your life since you said Yes to the Lord? Do you fear that you will be attacked until you reached a point where you will not be able to defend yourself anymore?

The Bible is clear describing Satan as our great enemy, who prowls around like a hungry, roaring lion, looking for someone to tear apart. But then it encourages us to stand firm when he attacks. To trust the Lord; and remember that other Christians all around the world are going through these sufferings too.

You are not alone, there is someone out there who is facing the same attacks as you do. There was someone who lived before you, who faced these attacks, he prevailed and now he is with the Lord after he finished his assignment in this life. So if those Christians before us prevailed, you can prevail too.

This morning, I just want to encourage to be a victor not a victim. I just want you to know the battle is not yours but the Lord's. I just you to continue standing firm in faith knowing that what does not kill you makes you stronger.

God will not allow you to be tempted more than you can handle, when you reach the point you think you are done, God will rise up like dawn sun and rescue you from your darkness. Be strong and trust Him today. Praise Him all time while knowing you have been called to be the soldier in the Kingdom of God and that the Kingdom of God suffers violence and men of violence take it by force.

****Morning Prayer*****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer...

Heavenly Father, help me to continue being strong in faith. Help me to stand and fight for the truth while knowing the battle is not mine, but Lord's. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Morning with Ebenezer

HE HAS LOVED YOU

And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.

Romans 5:5 NIV

I have learnt that the effective tool to change us is love. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life, John 3:16. God used love to reach a lost man, He came with the face of love and won sinners from their sins.

We all seek to be loved with someone out there that's why when we discover that someone loves us we tend to treasure that person as our own souls. But to be loved by people or a person let say your spouse is not enough. There will be always a gap inside of you which seeks more in which a soul of man will be made whole.

St. Augustine of Hippo knew this that's why he said, "You have made us for yourself, O Lord, and our heart is restless until it rests in you." The heart of man will not be able to rest in this life until it gets to experience the love of God which has been revealed through Jesus Christ our Lord. That love is the one which can change the rebellious heart inside of us to the point of accepting the truth of the Gospel.

This morning, God wants you to know that, He has loved you with an everlasting love; that is why He has continued showing kindness. You were forgiven and He has been forgiving you from your daily wrong doings and He will continue holding you until the end. He wants you to know that you are precious before His eyes; He wants you to understand He is not a man who will love you when you have something and leave you when you have nothing.

God will always be there for you and make sure He will put right people in your life in every season. They will come people who will stay for one or two season, some couple of years and other will stick with you until their purpose for you have ended; but He will put one or two who will be there until the end.

He will never leave you alone, continue trusting Him in everything. Walk in boldness while knowing you are being loved by God, the creator of heavens and earth, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for loving me. Give me strength to continue being faithful and love you for the rest of my life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

FEELING TEMPTED?

No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

1 Corinthians 10:13 ESV

Temptations have its way of knocking you down; putting you low until you feel like there is no getting up again. Temptations put a black cloud on your eyes that you may not see the light which is found in the word of God. Temptations make people suffer, cause them to lack sleep and be restless in life.

Temptations do not last but God's people do. You will not be tempted always and you will not be down forever. When the devil plans on tempting you, always the Lord will have the rescue plan in mind. God will not allow you to be tempted beyond your ability; He will always provide a rescue plan for you to get out of that temptation if you will be intact in following His Spirit.

When you are in the temptation all the words of encourage you have ever heard from people may not sound effective during that time. You may try to go and read the word of God and still get nothing out of it and get back to your miserable situation. The devil will try his level best to insure you that there is nothing which you can do and that you need to accept the defeat then mend your wounds.

This morning, God wants you to know that all things work together for good for those who love Him, to those are called according to His purpose. He wants you to know that there is no permanent temptation in life. What you are passing through now is only seasonal; and soon that season will pass.(Romans 8:28)

Try your level best no to make decisions in the middle of the storm. Keep your head up; seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth; and God will see you through your situation.(Colossians 3:1-2)

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I just want to ask You to be my strength the time I'm being tempted. Help me to overcome every temptation which will come in my way for your own glory. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

DOING GOD'S WILL

Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.

Matthew 6:10 NKJV

Every day we find ourselves in some positions that we are needed to make some decisions and choice some chooses. Sometimes we are forced to take this and let go that; choice this way and leave that way. We are needed to think among all options which one will be best option for us.

In the middle of these life decisions for us who are in Christ Jesus; face another challenge of understanding the will of God in each and everything that comes in our way. In my early stages of faith, I had one of my leaders who used a quality time in prayer before deciding anything concerning his life and ministry.

You would bring him something today and he would give you answers after few days and sometimes even weeks. I came to realize later  that during that time that he said he would answer you; he spent quality time in prayers asking God what was his will in that matter before giving you any advice or comments.

This morning, God wants you to seek to learn seeking His face before making any decision or doing anything in your life. If the will of God will be done in your life; you will not reach a point in life where you will regret for the decisions that you made in the past. If you will let God to direct your steps, he will lead you in the way you should go and prosper you in everything you do.

We get to know the will of God in our lives through reading the word of God under the direction of the Holy Spirit; and living the life of prayer. God will reveal His will in our lives as we continue being faithful and walking with Him in every step and stage of our lives.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord I'm asking that You may help me to understand and do your will in my life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

THE JOY OF THE LORD

Then he said to them, “Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

Nehemiah 8:10 NKJV

Have you ever felt weak and unable to face another day. Have you reached a point in life where you thought yesterday was better than today? Do you fear how you will be able to get through today and you don't know how you will be able to face tomorrow?

Is it your boss that makes you have sleepless nights and uncomfortable days at work? Are you in a broken relationship and you have tried all tricks to make it work; but it is the same old same? Do you seek acceptance from someone or love from people who you wish they could love you back and show the same affection which you are showing them?

Life can be a little bit challenging for each one of us. I know many times I have prayed that Lord you have given this temptation which I cannot bear, it is too much for me! But through it all I have been comforted that no matter what I'm going through the joy of the Lord is my strength.

This morning, God wants you to know that His joy is your strength. Joy is found when one is in right relationship with God. You cannot create joy for your own efforts; it comes automatically in the Spirit filled person. He can rejoice because they are in the Lord and continue to rejoice even when troubles come.

When the angel of the Lord appeared to the shepherds the day which Jesus was born, He said these words, ''But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.'' Jesus came to be the joy of the whole world, and He is your strength.

So just remember no matter what you are going through in life right now, the joy of the Lord is your strength. Jesus is your strength; He is the joy of the world.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord I'm asking that You may fill me with joy today. Be my strength and help me rejoice in You knowing You are in control over my life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

SLAVE OF SIN

Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin.

John 8:34 NKJV

Slave is a person who is the legal property of another and is forced to obey them. Slavery is a state of being slave. The recently studies show that nearly 30 million people worldwide are slaves. India has the highest number of people living in slavery conditions at 14 million.

The current world population is over 7 billion and some estimate that, since the days of Adam, approximately 100 billion human beings have been born. Jesus introduced the concept of being a slave of sin. It was quite different from the normal concept of slavery during that days, but His audience understood Him because they knew and saw how it was like to be a slave.

Jesus said whoever commits sin is a slave of sin, which meant whoever lives the life of sin is being legally owned by sin and forced to obey its desire. This kind of slavery is the harsh kind of slavery ever existed in this world; because it can hold in bondage even those who think they are free and living in free countries.

Paul wrote words of encouragement to people who were slaves in the flesh during his time but who were set free in their spirits. Telling them to obey their masters and know that no matter what states they were in form of the flesh one day they will receive their reward from the Lord. (Eph 6:5-8, Titus 2:9-10)

This morning, God wants you to know that Jesus Christ has already paid the price for your freedom from slavery of sin. You are no longer needed to be the slave of sin because Jesus paid it all by His blood, and paid in full. If you were taken in slavery or born on it, you are supposed to purchase your freedom that you may be free; and Jesus purchased our freedom by His own precious blood there on the cross.

The Gospel need to be preached that these 7 billion people may be set free from the slavery of sin. They need to know that Jesus is Lord and Savior; they need to know that Heaven is splendor and hell is real. They need to know that Jesus is the only way to the Father and no any other prophet or god will help them inherit the kingdom of God.

If you know the Lord and you have accepted Him as your Lord and Savior. Take a time to think about other 7 billion people who needs to know Him as you do. Take a time to pray and ask the Lord of harvest that He may send labors into His fields.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord I'm asking that You may use me as instrument of your peace. Use me to send the message of peace between the lost man and the merciful God to humanity. That you may use me to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in You Jesus. In Jesus' Name, Amen. (Acts 22:18)

Morning with Ebenezer

EXPECTED END

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

Jeremiah 29:11 KJV

I know you have a picture in mind of the life which you wanted to have one day. For some this picture has been there since their childhood and others got it when they had grown up. For the Bible scholars know that God can speak to us through form of imagination or what is called similitude. (Hosea 12:10)

There are those images which come in our mind showing the likeness of life which we want to have some day. They come in form of imagination which comes with hope if we work hard and put our trust in the Lord we will one day attain that point in life. This is what I call the expected end which God told the sons Israel will have after the end of seventy years of Exile in Babylon.

They had a certain picture in their minds on the free life which they will have when they return back to Jerusalem after Exile in Babylon. I know you have a certain picture in your mind after that trouble is gone in your life, when you will be free from that generation curse or when you get that breakthrough which you have been believing God all this time.

This morning, God wants you to know He has the thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. He knows what you are excepting from Him and He will not disappoint you. He is able to do what He said He will do, don't give up on God, because He will not give up on you. (Deitrick Haddon, He's Able)

I just want to encourage you to continue staying strong in the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ. God has good things in store for you and just you. If He sent His only Son to die for you, He will give you also the life which you have believed for all these years. Stay strong, have faith and keep looking above where God is.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord I will wait for you, I will wait for you to come bless me. I will wait for your appointed time to give me favor. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Morning with Ebenezer

YOUR ACTIONS SPEAK

First to those in Damascus, then to those in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and then to the Gentiles, I preached that they should repent and turn to God and demonstrate their repentance by their deeds.

Acts 26:20 NIV

When our Lord Jesus Christ appeared to Saul who later changed his to Paul in the road to Damascus. He started preaching in Damascus, then to those in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should change their hearts and lives and turn back to God. And told them to do what would show that they had really changed.

Here Paul was telling people that if you are born again; you should prove it by your deeds. He knew that being born again was not only based in going to church but it included changing your attitude, actions and character in life.

He knew that actions speak louder than words. He knew that someone can say something and do another different thing. We have many in the Church of Jesus Christ who claim to be born again but they are still living they old life styles. They claim that they are born again but still living the same life of sin which they once forsook.

This morning, God wants you to demonstrate your repentance by your deeds. If you were the man or woman of vengeance before you knew the Lord. This is the hour which you need to stop paying evil to evil but instead allow the anger of the Lord to repay them.

Live the life which you were called in the Lord Jesus Christ. Stop imitating the lives of people of this world for the sake of acceptance and friendship. Live according to the word of God and let the Lord lead you to the direction which He wants you to take in His time. Just remember in everything your attitude and character matters and are the ones which distinguish you from non-believers.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord help me to live the life according to your word. Help me live what I preach, and to preach what I live. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

GOLDEN RULE

“In everything, therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you, for this is the Law and the Prophets.

Matthew 7:12 NASB

This golden rule can be found in some form in almost every ethical tradition but for us who are in Christ Jesus, it came from the Lord himself.  It is recorded in both Matthew and Luke Account of the Gospel (Matthew 7:12, see also Luke 6:31). It has its roots from two old testaments verses, found in Leviticus 19:18, 34.

You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the sons of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself; I am the Lord, (ve.18). The stranger who resides with you shall be to you as the native among you, and you shall love him as yourself, for you were aliens in the land of Egypt; I am the Lord your God, (ve.34).

Jesus of Nazareth emphasizes these words in different examples including the parable of the Samaritan, found in Luke 10:29-37. In this parable Jesus is indicating that your neighbor is anyone in need. Jesus is saying if we will treat people the same way we want them to treat us, we will be fulfilling what is written in the Law and the Prophets. Sadly many times we fail, and I
can admit in my personal life I have failed to live in that standard of the Scriptures several times, but still God has been merciful to me.

This morning, God wants you to start treating people the same you want them to treat you. He wants you to go out and encourage someone even if your life is still in mess. He wants you to be the song of hope for someone today even if it there is no one to encourage you and tell you that things will work together for your own good.

I know God is faithful because the Bible tells me so and I have seen it myself. I know if you go outside and be a source of joy to someone, God will open doors of joy for you too. I know if you will bless someone with that dime which is so important to you right now; God will open the door that you may make more than that dime which you do not want to let go.

You have a choice to make, if you are tired of being mistreated simply start treating people right and eventually it will come back to you. Remember these words of Jesus:  For if you give, you will get! Your gift will return to you in full and overflowing measure, pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, and running over. Whatever measure you use to give—large or small—will be used to measure what is given back to you.”( Luke 6:38, TLB)

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord help me to treat people the same way I want to be treated. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Morning with Ebenezer

MY LIFETIME

Seventy years are given us! And some may even live to eighty. But even the best of these years are often empty and filled with pain; soon they disappear, and we are gone.

Psalm 90:10 TLB

I remember as it was yesterday when I was in Secondary school during the fellowships we used to sing this song: My life time I will give God my lifetime; If I give God my lifetime, He will take care of me. He will never let me down; I will give God my lifetime.

In those days it was just like any other feel good godly song; though those words were powerful, still they did not make actual sense during that time. Time passed and I came to know the Lord in deeper level over the years and now those words make sense in my spirit. I came to understand the necessity and importance of surrendering your whole life to the Lord.

I came to realize that accepting Jesus as the Lord and Savior of your life is neither a fashion nor inherited, but needs someone to make a choice to give his/her lifetime to God. You cannot say because my parents feared God and my father was a minister so I'm saved. It needs someone to realize that he is sinner who cannot save himself and he is desperately in need of a savior!

This morning, I just want to encourage you to give your lifetime to Jesus if you haven't done yet. I just want to encourage you to continue surrendering it every day and allow His will to prevail if you are already a born again. I can proudly say I recommend Jesus to any human being on this earth.

I recommend Him not because I have read the Scriptures and hear marvelous testimonies from men and women of God. I recommend Him because I have seen Him in my life; I have seen Him transforming me from one point to another, taking me from one dimension of grace to another, faith to faith and glory to glory.

He has touched this heart of mine if I will say He hasn't touched me, I will be lying and the truth is not in me. Give your lifetime to Him and let Him take a total control and I assure that you will never regret for the rest of your life.

Morning with Ebenezer

HE MADE A MAN

I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Marvelous are Your works,
And that my soul knows very well.

Psalm 139:14 NKJV

In the sixth day of creation God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and gave them dominion over all the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, cattle and every creeping thing. So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.(Genesis 1:26-28)

He made me and you from the dust of the earth and gave us dominion over everything on the earth. He made you the way you are and said it was good. When the time came He allowed you to be born in that family and those parents that you may come and fulfill your purpose in life.

You were not born by accident; you are not a mistake or a bad luck. It was a divine appointment and the Lord allowed you to be born in this generation and to live in this time of life. Each event which happened in your life was just one of the blocks which will add up to the total story of your life. Every event had a purpose in it, and the Lord allowed that you may get to learn wisdom from them.

This morning, God wants you to know that He created you for a purpose. Maybe the enemy has been fighting since the day you were born; he tried to put a stumbling block in every progress which you made. You faced rejection in every area and struggled to achieve your goals in life but still he cannot stop the plan of God for you.

If you put your trust in God and refuse to give up in life; God will come for your rescue. What can not kill you, will just make you stronger. The devil cannot kill because your life has been hidden in Christ Jesus. Praise God for making you the way you are, thank Him for the gift of life and accept yourself knowing He loves you.

Morning with Ebenezer

GOD IS FAITHFUL

God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

1 Corinthians 1:9 NKJV

We see in the Bible that God made promises to people and fulfilled them in due time. Throughout the Bible He kept His word to all the people who He promised. We see He promised Noah that He will save him from the great flood which will come to destroy the whole earth, and He kept His word.

He promised Abraham that the whole world will be blessed through his seed who is Jesus Christ the Lord and Savior. He promised Israel for a Savior and in due time the Messiah came and died for the sins of the world. He promised Israel that He will take them from Egypt and through Moses He fulfilled His promise.

We see different promises in the Books of Prophets which most of them came to pass exactly as predicted and other are still waited to be fulfilled in the end times. He promised different believers through dreams and visions and fulfilled all what He said to them.

This morning, I just want to encourage you to continue being faithful because you are serving faithful God. He will keep all what He has promised you through His word. He will heal you, deliver you and set you free from every kind of bitterness and pain.

He will walk with you as He promised in His word. He will fight with those who fight against you and contend with those who contend against you. If you will be faithful to Him, He will be faithful to you. If you will leave Him, He will leave you too.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord I'm asking that You may help me to continue being faithful to You. Help me to patiently wait for your promises in my life knowing that You will fulfill them in due time. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Morning with Ebenezer

REMEMBER YOUR POSITION

if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

2 Chronicles 7:14 NKJV

Ancient people in the Bible reached God through prayers. From the days of Noah, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob prayer was the main means of communication between mortal man and God. They lived a normal life just like us but they prayed and put their faith on God and God manifested to them in awesome ways.

We call them the pioneers of faith, good examples of how we suppose to live a godly life while waiting the promises of God patiently. We have heard about Daniel who knew his position in the land of Babylon; and used every chance He got to glorify the name of Most High God.

He knew that there is power in prayers which can subdue Kingdoms, proclaim righteousness, bring promises and stop the mouths of lions. He prayed three times a day in his upstairs room where the windows opened toward Jerusalem. God did wonders and revealed the mysteries of the last days to him which has been the back-born of Bible prophecy until to this day.

This morning, God wants you to know that we have not only been called to walk in faith but also to be the prayer warriors in His Kingdom. All the great men and women in history of the Church had something in common; all of them invested their time and energy in prayers.

What God told them in secret while praying they came and proclaim to the people who got answers to their problems. They had power to stand firm in faith even during persecution times because they knew how  to pray their way through temptations. They stood before Kings and Queens with boldness because they first stood before God of all the earth in prayers.

If you want to see the power of God works in you; start living the life of prayers. You will see extra-ordinary and walk in abundance if you invested your life in prayers. Your children's children will know the Lord if you will set yourself apart and pray for your descendants. God bless you.
