Morning with Ebenezer

FORGIVE

“And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.”

Mark 11:25-26 NKJV

We are living with our fellow humans who make mistakes, have weakness and offend us every day. Sometimes these people are so dear to us, they can be our spouse, children, Church members, co-workers and etc.

We need to learn to deal with everyone who comes in our lives. Sometimes our backgrounds and culture contribute a lot in shaping our behaviors. Before you jump and judge someone, you need to understand why he does what he does. There are some culture permits their people to do some things that are not allowed in some culture.

Jesus encouraged us to forgive seven times seventy in a day. In the reality no one will be able to offend you that much in a single day. Still there are people who can stumbling block for us every day. Some of these people can be our co-workers, relatives or friends.

This morning, I want to encourage you to forgive someone. I want you to know that offense will always come in your way. The enemy will want you to be busy dealing with them that you may forget dealing with the purpose of God in your life. You need to learn to forgive people who offend you and move on with your life.

We have people in a Church who are still miserable because they still deal with a thing that happened to them when they were twelve or sixteen years old. Now they are thirty years old but still they complain about it. Being mature is to let go all what the past did to you and look on what God has prepared for you. You won't experience God in a deeper level of you will still holding your past pains and mistakes. If you want to step in a higher dimension in God, then you need to let the bygones be the bygones and forgive someone today.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God  is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, help me to forgive all those who have wronged me. Give me grace that I may let them go and move on with my life in You. Help me to love my enemies and pray for them. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Morning with Ebenezer

HE KNEW YOU

“I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb.
Before you were born I set you apart
and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.”

Jeremiah 1:5 NLT

No one was born by accident. You were not born by accident, God knew you were coming and He intended you to be born in this generation. Sometimes due to our backgrounds we tend to think as if God did not intend us to be born.

There are some people who were born in the unspeakable poverty that led them to believe that good life was never intended for them. I don't know why God allow some people to be born in riches, and other to be born in poverty. I came to learn that our God does not make a mistake, whatever family He allowed you to be born. He intended to bless you and make you a blessing in the world that you came from.

He knew Prophet Jeremiah before He formed in His mother's womb. He knew that Jeremiah would suffer for His name sake, and people will hate Him because for what He will stand for in his life. God knew that Jeremiah will face imprisonment, death threat and great sorrow in his lifetime; but still He allowed Jeremiah to be born. God knew that through Jeremiah, His name will be spread all over the world to generations and generations to come.

This morning, I want you to know that God knew you were coming. He knew that you will be born in that family, country and live in the town or City that you are living right now. He knew that one day He will reveal Himself through the person of Jesus Christ and show you His way. God drew a picture of you on the palms of His hands; you are always before His eyes. Isaiah 49:16

I want to encourage you not to fear. God is with you in whatever you are going through right now in this life. If you will trust Him, He will show Himself faithful in all of your ways. Start your day knowing that God is with you today. He has a good plan for you, stay calm, wait for His instructions and you will have good success.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Father, I give you this day. Help me walk in your will, and fulfill the plan that You have for me today. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Morning with Ebenezer

KEEP GOING

Looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.

Titus 2:13 NKJV

The word of God encourages us to put our hope in God. It teaches us to stand firm in the promises of God knowing that one day we will receive all what God promised us. The difference between us and people of this world is that; we have the blessed hope in Christ Jesus. We have hope that one day He will come and take us back to His Father.

In this life we all face hardships, when you see someone acting strange or doing things that he is not supposed to do. You need to pray for that person instead of judging him or talking about him every time you get together with your fellow Church folks.

Many people they walk, smile, talk and sometime laugh but not all of them are whole inside. I have learnt that many people in the body of believers if not all of us are wounded. We all experienced some things that crushed us so deeply, without God we won’t be standing today. There are fresh wounds inside of many of us and without the help of God. We will not be able to experience the true joy of our salvation.

This morning, I want to encourage you to put your hope in Jesus. As you put your hope in Him, you will receive the encouragement you need to live and survive every attack of the enemy. I have been facing many hardships in my personal life; things are not easy as they may sometimes be seen. Whenever I devoted myself to do something for the kingdom of God; I have seen the devil fighting that I may not do it.

I have learnt that the only way to humiliate the devil is keep doing what God called me to do. Every time I receive encouragement and instructions from the Lord. I have the mandate of sharing what I have received to others. If God called you to do something, keep on doing it while you put your hope in the Lord. He will never leave you nor forsake you. In other words He will never take His physical presence from you nor take His emotional attention from you. Keep going!

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I'm asking that You may help me to keep doing what You have called me to do; while I wait for the blessed hope and the glorious appearance of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Morning with Ebenezer

GIVE THANKS

I give you thanks, O Lord, with all my heart;
I will sing your praises before the gods.

Psalm 138:1 NLT

Many times it is easy to give thanks to God when all things are good. We praise Him when we get promoted, healed, delivered and receive different miracles from Him. It is easy to praise Him when we are in the perfect health and prosper in this life.

When we start going through different temptations, face attacks in every side from the enemy and undergo financial difficulties. The vocabulary thank you Lord start disappear from our lips. When you are facing marital problems, your teenagers are acting up and having conflict within your family. The word thank you Lord won't frequent be used it.

I don't know what you are going through right now. Maybe you have lost all the money you invested in a certain business, it may happen that you loved someone so deeply and you end up being disappointed with that person. Maybe he/she did not love you the way you desired or he/she was unfaithful to you and you ended up with a broken heart.

This morning, I want to encourage you to thank God for everything. Thank Him for all disappointment that you experienced in your life. Thank Him for all people who rejected you in some point in your life, because are the ones who pushed you to be better and treasure all who loved you for who you are.

If God has opened a small door for you, thank Him knowing he is more than willing to open other big doors in your life. Thank God for your immediate family members, thank Him for the love that He has shown you through Jesus Christ our Lord. Thank Him for each and everything in your life.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father,  I give you thanks, O Lord, with all my heart; I thank You for everything in my life. May your name be praised forever and ever more. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Morning with Ebenezer

HE KNOWS YOU

Mark the blameless man, and observe the upright;
For the future of that man is peace.
But the transgressors shall be destroyed together;
The future of the wicked shall be cut off.

Psalm 37:37-38 NKJV

The Bible talks about the blameless man, a man who walks according to the will of God. It says the future of that man is peace. There is a wonderful life ahead of any person who walks in the will of the Father.

The Psalmist David says in the same chapter of 37 verse 25, "I have been young, and now am old; yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his descendants begging bread. He is ever merciful, and lends; and his descendants are blessed." God never forsake His righteous, He will always find the way to protect them and make them successful in this life.

Maybe you have been asking yourself how your future will be in God. Sometimes people of this world think they will succeed and continue doing evil. When they see they develop and advance in their ways; they tend to ignore the things of God and laugh at people who fear God.

This morning, I want you to know that God knows you. He knows your name; He knows all the things that you do for His name. I want to encourage you to continue doing the work of God and live righteously before Him. God will be with you in all things and help you in the days to come.

If things are not like the way you wanted them to be right now. Don't lose hope, there is always a room for you to make things right and reach whatever goals that you have in your life. As you start this week, know that you have been given a chance to improve yourself and right the wrongs. You have been a chance to work harder than last week, and seek the face of the Lord. So make sure you use whatever time you have for the glory of God.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Father, help me to live a blameless life before You. Give me strength to fight against sin that I may have a future of peace. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Morning with Ebenezer

GIVE THANKS ALWAYS

Giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,

Ephesians 5:20 NKJV

The Psalmist David proudly says, “Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.” Our Lord God is good; His mercies are new every morning. Weeping of His saints may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. (Psalm 136:1)

No matter what you are going through in life right now, there is joy ahead of you. God has prepared things that your eyes haven't seen, nor ears heard, nor have entered into your heart. The things which God has prepared for those who love Him. (1 Corinthians 2:9)

It easy to give thanks to God when things are okay, you are stable financially and when you are in your good healthy. Sometimes it is difficult to thank God when your life is a mess; you are facing marital problems, you have no job, you are sick or even facing demonic attacks.

This morning, I want to encourage you to thank God in all things. Give Him thanks for good days and bad ones. Give Him thanks for those who have loved you and those who rejected you. Give Him thanks for answered and answered prayers. Give Him thanks for existing relationships and broken ones.

Thank God for this day, thank Him because He has given you another chance to be productive, grow in the Spirit and amend your past wrongs. He has given you another day to love again, ask for forgiveness and forgive. He has given you another day to seek His face and work towards fulfilling your dreams in life. Give thanks to Him today!

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for the gift of life. Thank You for the gift of salvation that is found in Christ Jesus. I'm asking that You may be with me in this day, help me to walk towards fulfilling your will and purpose in my life. Help me to work hard towards my goals while knowing that You will be with me until the end. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Morning with Ebenezer

HE WILL DELIVER YOU

The righteous person may have many troubles,
    but the Lord delivers him from them all;

Psalm 34:19 NIV

Giving your life to Jesus, and living for the Lord doesn't give you a ticket to avoid the problems of this life. People of God still face many temptations, they get sick, sometimes they face rejection. They face financial hardship, some of them are still barren and some are facing marital problems.

If you are facing any problems right now just know that you are not alone. There are many people who are not sure how they will pay their rent and bills this month. Some have overdue bills and debts that they don't know how they will pay.

While others are enjoying their monthly paychecks, we have many people in the body of Christ who doesn't have jobs. We have people who are hurting with their past wounds; we have people who are facing demonic attacks.

This morning, I want you to know you to know that God is able to deliver you from all problems in your life. He may not do it in a single night though is able to do that; but He will deliver you if you will put your trust in Him. Sometimes He allows some trials to come to us that He may show Himself faithful through those dark hours in life.

Our God in Christ Jesus is able to deliver you from all of your afflictions. He will not let the enemy overcome you; He will fight for you until the end. Know that deliverance is found in Christ Jesus, stop seeking it from men or things of this world. God is able to deliver you today, trust Him with your life.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Father, I'm asking that You may deliver me from all of my problems in this life. I give myself to You, may your will be done in my life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Morning with Ebenezer

SERVE THE LORD

God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.

1 Peter 4:10 NLT

If God has given you something, use it for the benefit of all. When God has given you something is up to you to use it whether for His glory or for your own benefit. We have many people who are talented; but they are too selfish to share what they have with others.

Some have discovered that they can make a lot of money through their gifts, so they are using their gifts to do so. Others start exercising their gifts in the Church and when they see they have got enough audience and appreciation. They tend to shift to the world in seek of fame and money.

If God has given you anything use it that it may bless others even 20 years from now. If you are singer, sing that your songs may help many inherit the kingdom of heaven. Don't sing that you may be known or get money out of it. If God wants you to be famous then He will make you in His time. Serve the Lord with all of your heart and you will see the blessings of the Lord flowing in your way.

This morning, I want to encourage you to serve the Lord. Serving the Lord in your area of influence is true worship before God. Learn to act according to the commandments of the Lord in your work place, family, friends, Church and all areas of your life. Then you will be worshiping our Lord God with your life; and He going to bless the works of your hands.

Don't allow the spirit of selfish to have a room in you, don't be arrogant and think you know all things. Learn to walk humbly before God and your fellow men. Do the will of the Lord in your life and allow the Lord to take care the rest.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

LORD God, thank You for your salvation that if found in Christ Jesus. Lord help me to serve You with all of my heart. Help me to treat others as I love to be treated. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Morning with Ebenezer

CALL THE NAME OF JESUS

No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

1 Corinthians 10:13 NKJV

We all face different temptations in our daily basis. No one can stand and say with confidence that he has not been tempted in his life. Jesus Himself was tempted, the writer of the Book of Hebrews says, "For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. (Hebrews 4:15)

Jesus was tempted as we are in all points, it teaches us that whatever temptation that you are facing right now in this life. Jesus was tempted in the same kind of temptation but it may not be exactly like what you are facing right now.

We cannot overcome temptation by our own strength. You cannot beat that addiction or overcome those sexual desires by your own strength. You won't be able to stop drinking, smoking or even stealing without the help of God. You need the power of Jesus through the person of Holy Spirit to help you overcome whatever temptations those keep on pulling you back to sin.

This morning, I want to encourage you to call the name of Jesus that He may help you overcome your temptations. If you are weak and you don't have enough strength in you to fight against your temptation; call the name of Jesus and the Lord will strengthen you. He will give you strength to fight against your temptation; overcome it and continue with your journey of salvation.

Maybe the devil has been fighting to cause you to sin; but you don't have to fight that battle alone. Ask the Lord to come and fight for you. He has overcome the devil; He knows exactly what you are going through right now in life. He will help you overcome your temptations if you will put your trust in Him.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, help me to fight against my temptations. I cannot overcome all these temptations by my own strength. I have tried before but I failed. Give me strength now through the power of Holy Spirit that I may prevail against them. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Morning with Ebenezer

CALLING OF GOD

If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.

John 12:26 KJV

We have people in the Church who are running away from their calling. I have learned that obeying the calling of God is not easy as many of us think. Most of the time we cry that God may use us like the way He wants; but when God comes down to start using us not all of us have enough courage to accept His calling.

Ministry may seem to be easy when we see great men and women of God operating in the areas where God has called them. We may all want to jump and become like them even tomorrow morning; but things are not easy as they sometimes seen.

These men and women of God fought great battles to reach where they are right now. They have trusted God in thick and thin; and whenever they were afraid, they trusted God for deliverance. If God has called you, He will make sure you reach your destination in Christ if you will be obedient to His voice. Running away from the calling will just cause you to be swallowed by a big fish as Jonah did in the Bible. (Jonah 1-4)

This morning, I want to encourage you to accept the calling of God. You asked God to give you education, He did. You asked God to give you a good paying job, He did. You asked God for a spouse, He gave you one and bless you with beautiful children. It's about time for you to stand and serve Him with all of your heart. Even if you don't have all what I have mentioned above; but still you are required to serve Him in your life.

It will be wonderful if each one of us in the Church of Jesus Christ will serve our Lord with all of our hearts. It is not enough to have a Christian name or to be known as a born again believer; but you are supposed to serve the Lord too! Your service is needed in the body of Christ; you contribution is important for the extension of the kingdom of God. Serve the Lord today!

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, if You can use anything; use me Lord. Use me for your glory, help me to accept your calling that I may serve You in all the days of my life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Morning with Ebenezer

LEARN TO AIM HIGHER

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,

Ephesians 3:20 NKJV

We have people in the Church who are talented and gifted with many things; but most of them time tend to look down on themselves. They tend to consider others to be better than themselves and don't value what God has given them in life.

There are those people who think other people wives or husbands are better than theirs. These people always concern about their images and think that other are prettier or awesome than themselves. They don't trust what they know and always trust other people judgment than their own judgments.

Most of these folks struggle with low self-esteem, even if they have known God in their lives; but still they can't trust that He can use them and make them great one day. Some believe that no matter how hard they work, they will continue to be poor as the result they fear to trust God for big things in life.

This morning, I want you to know that you were created according to the image of God and likeness of God. There is God in you; He created you to be prosperous and successful in this life. He created you that you may use all what He has given you for His glory. Don't put yourself down but start trusting yourself in the Lord and aim higher in life.

Whatever things that so called successful people have done in this life. You can do too and reach in the same level of success in life if you will use all the potential that God has given you. Make sure you know all what is required for you to be successful in life. Learn from people who are successful and ask God for wisdom that you may follow all the principles of success in the Bible.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, help me to overcome my within fears that I may be able to use all the potential that You have bestowed inside of me. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Morning with Ebenezer

PRAY FOR YOUR CHILDREN

Then people brought little children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them and pray for them. But the disciples rebuked them.Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” When he had placed his hands on them, he went on from there.

Matthew 19:13-15 NIV

In our walk with the Lord we face many things, and find ourselves praying for many things along the way. We pray for lost souls, we pray for the peace of our nations and Jerusalem. We pray for our loved ones, work and the things of this life.

Most of the time we forget to pray for our children. We think that they will automatically grow and be just like us. We tend to work hard in all areas of our lives and seek the Lord with all of our hearts but we forget praying for our children. There are some ministers who even tend to forget to teach their children the word of God.

Paul the Apostle talks about the faith was in his spiritual son Timothy in 2 Timothy 1:5, “I remember your genuine faith, for you share the faith that first filled your grandmother Lois and your mother, Eunice. And I know that same faith continues strong in you.” Timothy was imparted the same faith that was in his grandmother Lois and His mother Eunice. He had roots of faith from his family; this teaches us that we need to impart our children with the same faith that we have in Christ Jesus.

This morning, I want to remind you to pray for your children. I know maybe you are reading this and you don't have kids of your own; but I still believe there are children in your life. They can be your nieces, nephews or even children of your fellow members in your local church.

Pray for them that they may be the future of the Church of Jesus Christ. Pray that they may be filled with the Spirit of God and walk in the ways of the Lord. Pray that they may study hard and be competent that they may create good life for themselves in the future. Pray that they may carry the Gospel to the ends of the world; and be bold when it comes to the things of God. Pray that they may be a good example to the children of unbelievers and stand for the truth no matter what the cost. Pray for your children today!

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I surrender my children in your hands. Lord I'm praying that your will may be fulfilled in them. Help them to become what You intended them to be in this life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Morning with Ebenezer

HIS WORD

All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 NLT

Most of the time we like to read Scriptures that make us feel good and comfort us. This is the good thing, but sometimes we avoid reading those Scriptures that rebuke us and teach us what is true in this life.

Paul the Apostle wrote to His spiritual son Timothy that, “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness." He wrote this to encourage him and us that we need to embrace the word of God as a whole. We need to learn each Scripture and apply it in our daily lives.

The same Bible that teaches us to pray, it also teaches us to work hard, treat each other right and love our enemies. The same Bible that teaches about Jesus, it teaches us about Holy Spirit and God the Father. So everything is important in the Scriptures, we need everything that we may reach the perfection in Christ Jesus.

This morning, I want you to know God is using His word to prepare you to reach where He destined you to be. When you read the word of God, read knowing that are the basic instructions you need that you may prosper in this life. Don't read it as story book but as you are listening to God Himself talking to you.

Everything that is written is profitable for you; it will change your life and make you whole. It will give you strength to overcome temptations and lead you to the straight path. It will comfort you in the time of troubles and give you hope that best is yet to come no matter what you are going through right now.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, help me to obey your word in all the days of my life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Morning with Ebenezer

WORD OF THE LORD

“All flesh is as grass,
And all the glory of man as the flower of the grass.
The grass withers,
And its flower falls away,
But the word of the Lord endures forever.”
Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you.

1 Peter 1:24-25 NKJV

The world is changing, people are changing. Governments are passing down new laws, and many new faiths are emerging that denies the power of God and His existence. People curse God and do things that are abominations before Him without fear.

Many think that God has forgotten the world, and there is nothing that He is going to do to change this wicked world. Scriptures are clear that there is judgment before us. There is nothing that people of this world are doing right now; that won't be put into judgment when that day comes.

People of God shouldn't lose their minds when people of the world change laws and denounce God by their actions. The Church of Jesus Christ should continue doing the work of ministry and preach the Gospel as never before. We need to start witnessing to all people regardless their colors, languages and historical backgrounds.

This morning, I want you to know that the word of God will endure forever. If you have put your trust in the Lord, you don't need to be afraid on how things are going right now. If wicked people are increasing their wickedness; you as a child of God need to seek the face of the Lord more every day.

Seek His face and put your hope in Him. He will fight for you and make sure you live the life that He has prepared for you in Christ Jesus. He will be with you and fight for your children as He has been fighting for you. He will never leave you nor forsake you in all the days of your life.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Father, I will continue putting my trust in You. Help me to continue contending for my faith in Christ Jesus; that I may live the life that you purposed me to live in Christ. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
