WHAT DO YOU DO FOR THE LORD?
Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers
are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his
harvest field.”
Matthew 9:37-38 NIV
We have a tendency of seeking what the
Lord will do for us. We have what I call give me, give me prayers; those
prayers that are for our own advantages. Every time when we go before the Lord
we tend to bring our needs and desires first; and forget about if the Lord will
be in need of us.
Many Christians have been fighting with
the callings of God in their lives. Some have increased education and seek new
promotions when they felt like the Lord was calling them in ministry. Many
think if they will devout part of their time for the work of ministry; then
they will be losing their precious time that can be used doing other things in
life.
If you think you are wasting your time,
then think again; because Jesus used 33 years of His on this earth. Jesus who
was a very nature of God left His glory in heaven and came to live in a form of
servant being made in human likeness. He came and saved us by dying on the
cross; He did all of this for love and He never regretted His decision to come
to save us from sin.
This morning, I want to encourage you to
start doing something for the Lord. Jesus said, the harvest is plentiful but
the workers are few. Then He continued by saying, Ask the
Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. The
Lord of the harvest is God the Father, the harvest field is the world and the
ones to be harvested are people who are living the life of sin.
I pray that God may use
you to bring back His children to the kingdom. You can serve the Lord in so
many ways but the best way is through a testimony of your personal life. How do
you interact with people, behaving before the unbelievers and your faith in the
Son of God. If you will have a good testimony before those who don't know God;
then you may be able to serve some by only watching your good deeds in Christ
Jesus our Lord.
****Morning Prayer****
Pray this prayer with me
by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....
Our Father who art in heaven,
allowed be your name. Lord I'm asking that You may use me to bring back your
sons and daughters in your kingdom. Lord give me wisdom that I may know how to
reach them and tell them about your kingdom that they may forsake their evil
ways and turn to You in repentance. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
