Morning with Ebenezer

BE CAREFUL

As you go, proclaim this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven has come near.’ Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.

Matthew 10:7-8 NIV

We have many rising preachers and ministers who ask people money that they may pray for them. These people use the Gospel as a means of getting their private gains; they use that money they get from faithful believers to build their small kingdoms instead of building the kingdom of God.

There is a danger in the Church of Jesus Christ because people are listening more to their ministers more than listening what the word of God says. I have met with people who quote their ministers in everything; but they can't quote even a single scripture. They tend to take opinions of their ministers and careless what the word of God says about different matters of life.

As the result we have a weak church that rejoice in being preached things that they would make them feel good rather being told the truth. These ministers boast themselves that if you give them money; or send money in their ministries then you will receive your miracles and God will bless you. I believe the Gospel is not for sale, it was given freely by our Lord Jesus Christ and it supposed to be given freely to everyone who is need of it.

This morning, God wants you to be careful of false prophets. They come to you and look gentle like sheep. But they are really dangerous like wolves. The Bible says you will fully recognize them by their fruits, Matthew 7:15-16. There are questions you need to ask yourself to see if someone is doing the work of God or is another kind of dangerous wolf.

Ask yourself if that minister have a good testimony for Jesus? Does what he prophesy agree with the Scripture? And what he claimed it would happen-did it? Do that minister puts money first more than Jesus? Then you will understand if he was send by the Lord or he is there for his own stomach. When he preaches, he wants Jesus to be seen or his name to be lifted high? These are questions that you need to ask yourself before put your trust to whomsoever claims he was sent by God. May God give you the gift of discernment.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I'm asking that You may give me the gift of discernment that I may be able to differentiate between your true prophets and false ones. Help me to stay away from every kind of false teachings that I may be able to inherit your kingdom ooh Lord. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
