START WITH THE LORD
You crown the year with Your goodness,
And Your paths drip with abundance.
Psalm 65:11 NKJV
In this day of New Year, many people use
it as an excuse to do every kind of evil and forget that it was by the grace of
God they have seen the New Year. There are many things which take place in the
night of New Year and God knows how many people end up in regrets when the
day comes.
For us who are in Christ Jesus, this is
the time to sit down and try to look back what we did in the previous year.
What went wrong on our sides and what we need to fix and improve in this New Year.
This is time to make it an agenda to increase our relationship with the Lord
and continue building good relationships with our neighbors especially those
who are household of faith.
Maybe there was a certain sin which kept
on putting you down last year; or there is a certain behavior that you had less
or no control over it. In this day of the New Year, is the time of you to sit
down and ask the Lord to give you strength in this coming year to overcome that
sin or behavior. This is the time of letting go people who hurt you in 2013 and
ask that God to forgive them and give them grace to change.
This morning, I just want to encourage you
to start the New Year 2014 with the Lord Jesus Christ. If He was Lord of your
life in 2013, make sure to ask Him to continue holding your hand and ordering
your steps in 2014. Ask the Lord that He may give you grace to change and grow
in the love of Him in every new day.
Take a time to pray for your family,
friends, and all people in your circle of influence that they may know the
Lord. Pray for the Church of Jesus Christ in this world without forgetting
praying for your government and nation as the whole. Ask the Lord to bring revival
on this age, ask the Lord to send out ministers who will preach the Gospel with
all humility. Pray that God may prosper you in every corner of your life in
this New Year. May God bless you, Happy New Year!
****Morning Prayer****
Pray this prayer with me by faith and God
is going to answer your prayer....
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for the
gift of life. I'm asking that You may be with me in this New Year, help me to
live for you and contending for the precious faith which You have given me in
Christ Jesus our Lord. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
