Morning with Ebenezer

DO WHAT IT SAYS

Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.

James 1:23-25 NIV

We read and hear the word of God daily through various ways and Medias. Many of us study the word at least one Scripture everyday and some mediate it that they may store that word in their hearts. One question which each one of us must ask himself/herself is this: Do I practice what the word says?

James says if we listen to the word and not do it, we will be like someone who looks at his face in a mirror, and when he goes away from that mirror, he immediately forgets what he looks like. When the Bible says love your neighbor like yourself, do we real practice this in our normal life? Do we give tittles and offerings like the way Bible instructs? Do we fast and pray as we ought to do?

James continues by saying if we will do what the word says, we will have God's blessing. This is seen to people in the body of Christ who have committed their lives totally to the will of the Father. These are people who receives God's blessing in all areas of their lives and experience the love of God being manifested in their lives.

This morning, if you want to see the blessings of God in your life, start doing what the word says. Start practicing what is written in the Scriptures in your life and believing all the promises which are in the Bible for you.

God is faithful, if you obey and do according to what is written in the Bible you will see His hand in your life. You will live a victorious life and walk in the realm of supernatural in your life. God will revel Himself to you and protect you from every plans of the enemy against your life.
