HOLY LIFE
Make every effort to live in peace with
everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.
Hebrews 12:14 NIV
The Bible is clear that no one will be
able to see the Lord if he will not live a holy life. Living holy life does not
mean living a perfect life, but to live a life of repentance, the life of
humbling yourself before the Lord God of all the earth.
Knowing that you are a sinner and you need
the grace from the Lord that you may overcome sin in this life. In other words
you are a sinner who is desperately in need of the Savior. We will not see the
Lord by our good deeds, or by making every effort that we may be good people.
All of those are good before the Lord but they will not qualify us to see Him
without holiness in our lives.
Living a holy life is the making daily
commitments when you wake that you are going to live for Jesus. Knowing in your
heart no matter what happens in your life you will continue standing for the
truth and put God first in everything. Knowing that you need to repent soon
after discovering you have gone astray from the commandments of the Lord that
you may be at peace with Him.
This morning, I just want you to know that
we have been called to live a holy in Christ Jesus. We have been called to live
a godly life in this adulterous and sinful generation. We need to be the light
to the darkness, showing the good example on how a born again and Spirit filled
Christian should behave before the unbelievers.
You are the salt of the earth, but if the
salt has lost its flavor, with what will be salted? You are the light of the
world. A city located on a hill can't be hidden. Neither do you light a lamp,
and put it under a measuring basket, but on a stand; and it shines to all who
are in the house. Even so, let your light shine before men; that they may see
your good works, and glorify your Father who is heaven.(Matthew 5:13a, 14-16)
****Morning Prayer****
Pray this prayer with me by faith and God
is going to answer your prayer....
Dear Heavenly Father, help me to live holy
life in all the days of my life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
