Morning with Ebenezer

FIGHT FOR YOUR FAMILY

And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

Joshua 24:15 NKJV

If you will careful read four books of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, you will see that many people who went to ask Jesus for help; they asked on behalf of their family members. Many believed in Jesus first and that's why they went to Him knowing He will help their relatives as He has been helping many others.

These people had what I call no one left behind attitude, they heard about Jesus and saw His miracles; and they refused to let their relatives perish and hence they went to Jesus. There are few examples which we find in the Gospel of Mark that show people who brought their family members to Jesus that He may help them to come out from their misery.

Jesus healed Simon's wife mother who lay sick with fever; after this He healed a paralytic who was carried with four men after they uncover the roof where Jesus was. Then He resurrected the daughter of one of the ruler of Synagogue, Jairus by name who was reported died before Jesus arrived to their house. Later on the demon went out from the daughter of Greek woman, a Syro-Phoenician by birth who kept asking Jesus to cast the demon out of her daughter. We also see He rebuked a deaf and dump spirit from a boy that was brought by his father, after his disciples failed to cast it out. (Mark 1:30-31, 2:3-5, 5:22-23, 35-43, 7:25-30, 9:14-27)

This morning, I just want to encourage you to fight for your loved ones. If you have anyone who does not know the Lord in your family; make him or her to be the top of the list of your daily prayer points. If you prayed in the past and for some reasons you stopped; I'm here to encourage you to go back on your kneels for those souls that they may be saved.

The mission of Jesus is to make heaven full of souls and hell empty. I don't think you will feel good if you will inherit the Kingdom of heaven and see your loved ones weep and gnashing their teeth on the other side. Wake up and start praying for their salvation and indeed God is going to save them from sin and hell as He did for you and me.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, Lord I bring all my unsaved loved ones before your throne. Lord I'm asking for their salvation, Lord I'm asking that You may save them by your amazing grace and make to be sons and daughters in your kingdom. Lord I pray that You may touch and change their rigid hearts that they may be able to receive and accept the truth of your Word. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
