DO NOT LOVE THIS WORLD
Stop loving this evil world and all that
it offers you, for when you love these things you show that you do not really
love God; for all these worldly things, these evil desires—the craze for sex,
the ambition to buy everything that appeals to you, and the pride that comes
from wealth and importance—these are not from God. They are from this evil
world itself. And this world is fading away, and these evil, forbidden things
will go with it, but whoever keeps doing the will of God will live forever.
1 John 2:15-17 TLB
People who are in Christ Jesus we have our
blueprint which contains the basic instructions which one needs to know about
this life. The Bible is our blueprint, in it we find the Word of God which is
the lamp for our feet, and the light on our paths.
The Bible forbids us to fall in love with
this world with all that it offers. It says if we love this world the love of
the Father is not in us. For all these worldly things, wanting to please our
sinful selves (lust of the flesh), wanting the sinful things we see (lust of
the eyes), and being too proud of what we have (the pride of life/possessions)
- these are not from God.
The Bible continues by saying: The world
and everything that people want in it are passing away, but the person who does
what God wants lives forever. This means there is no need of investing
somewhere that you know you will end up getting loss. If you will invest your
time, money, strength and soul in this world; you will end up losing everything
including your soul at the end of this age.
This morning, I just want to encourage you
to keep doing the will of God in your life. Seek to know the Lord more and more
in every new day. Live your life today like they will be no tomorrow; this
means do all what you are needed to do today for the sake of the Lord. If the
Spirit of God is directing you to do something today; just do it knowing that
tomorrow is never promised to anybody.
Know that Jesus is up there preparing the
city for you. If this world was created for six days and it this beautiful? How
much more will be the new heaven and new earth, with the holy city, the New
Jerusalem that the Lord has spent 2000 and counting so far preparing for us?
Get ready because in the hour which you don't know the Son of Man will come to
take away His bride, the Church of Jesus Christ in this world.
****Morning Prayer****
Pray this prayer with me by faith and God
is going to answer your prayer....
Dear Heavenly Father, I will not love this
evil world and all that it offers; but I will continue doing your will in all
the days of my life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
