GIVE THANKS
Give thanks in all circumstances; for this
is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
1 Thessalonians 5:18 ESV
It is easy to give thanks to God in the
time abundance and prosperity. But it may be very difficult to give thanks in
the time of lack and need. The Bible teaches us to give thanks in all
circumstances, this means in all seasons of life whether good or bad.
It is easy to give thanks to God when
people praise you and say good things about you. But the question comes, will
you do the same when people criticize you and say hurtful things to you? It is
easy to give thanks to God in the day of your weeding; but will you do the same
when you undergo divorce?
It is easy to give thanks when the Lord
has blessed you with a child; but will you do the same if the Lord will take
that child away from you one day? It is easy to give thanks to God the day you
get a good paid job; but will you do the same the day you will be fired from
that job? It is easy to give thanks to God when you get in a new relationship
but will you do the same in the day of your breakup?
This morning, I just want to remind you to
give thanks to God for all things in your life. Give thanks for the people who once
were your friends and now are no longer in your life. Thanks Him because He
gave you a chance to know them and share with them this gift of life. Praise
Him for everyone who is still in your life knowing that there is a purpose for
that person to be in your life in the time like this.
Give thanks for answered and unanswered
prayers. Give thanks for the things which came on time and for those which
delayed. Give thanks for your loved ones who are no longer with you in this
life know that one day you will see them again in the kingdom of our Heavenly
Father if they lived according to His will. Give thanks for your salvation
while you continue being faithful before the Lord of all the earth.
****Morning Prayer****
Pray this prayer with me by faith and God
is going to answer your prayer....
Dear Heavenly, I just want to take this
moment to say thank You for all things in my life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
