THE WORD

For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Hebrews 4:12 NKJV

We are living in the world that people do not read the word of God. People who follow the dictates of their own hearts and endorse the wisdom of men rather what God is saying in the Scriptures. Some people believe heaven and hell are just concepts which were invented by few smart people in order to control other people.

Some believe there is no heaven but something which was invented to encourage people to live good life and be good citizens. In the mean there is no hell but was something invented to scary people who live immoral life that they will face punishment when they die. Hence there is no heaven or hell but just concepts which are there to control people.

If you open the pages of your Bible you will find these kinds of teachings are false; and that they came from people who don't believe the existence of God. Even good Christians are being drawn in these kinds of teachings; and many other false teachings out there because they don't spend enough time to read their Bibles.

This morning, God wants you to allocate enough time to read your Bible. If you will spend enough time to read Scriptures and ask God the Holy Spirit to teach you and show you the meaning of the Scriptures. You will be in a good position to defend your faith and differentiate between true and false teachings.

The Bible says that after death is judgment, we will be judged according to what we did in this life, Hebrew 9:27. The Lord is coming soon, He wants you to be prepared and that you may have a good testimony before Him the day He comes back. Make sure to read your Bible and live according to what is written in the Scriptures; and you will see the hand of God being with you in all the days of your life.

Dear Heavenly Father, I pray that You may build a desire of reading your Word in me; open my mind that I may understand Scriptures and keep all what is written in your Word. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
