Morning with Ebenezer

HELP THE WEAK

We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves.  Each of us should please our neighbors for their good, to build them up. For even Christ did not please himself but, as it is written: “The insults of those who insult you have fallen on me.”

Romans 15:1-3 NIV

In the body of Christ we have people who love the Lord but still weak in their faith. There are those people who seem to repeat the same mistakes over and over again. There are those people who don't seem to understand what they are being taught and keep on asking the same questions every day.

For some these people can be annoying and many may tend to run away from these kinds of people; and concentrate with those they think they are strong and understand things quickly. The Bible teaches us to be patient with these people, while trying to understand their failings, struggles and weaknesses in life.

The Bible teaches us to help others do what is right and build them up in the Lord. It gives the example of Christ who did not live to please himself but to please His Father who art in heaven. The Bible encourages us to have Christ like mind, to follow His example and not the examples of men that we may live according to the will of the Father.

This morning, I just want to encourage you to be patient with those who seem to be weak for the sake of Christ. Learn to love the unlovable, and accept the rejected, embrace the cast out and mend the wounded. You need to know that we are all one in Christ, if you are strong glory be to God; use that strongness for the merit of the weak.

You should not forget you were commanded to love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. And to love your neighbor as yourself, Mark 12:28-34, Luke 10:25-28, Matthew 22:35-40. May the Lord help you to meditate these words.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for loving me first that you sent your Son to die for my sins. Lord I'm asking You may give me help me to love my neighbor as I love myself. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
