Morning with Ebenezer

CALL UPON HIS NAME

Moses and Aaron were among His priests,
And Samuel was among those who called upon His name;
They called upon the Lord, and He answered them.

Psalm 99:6 NKJV

The Psalmist David says God is our protection and source of strength. He is always ready to help us in times of trouble, Psalm 46:1. He then says in Psalm 118:5, I was in trouble, so I called to the LORD for help. The LORD answered and made me free.

In chapter 99:6, the Psalmist tries to recall the prophets of God Moses, Aaron and Samuel who called up the Lord, and He answered them. What all of this mean to us who are living today? Apostle Paul wrote the following in the book of Romans 15:4, “Everything that was written in the past was written to teach us. Those things were written so that we could have hope. That hope comes from the patience and encouragement that the Scriptures give us.”

These things were written to teach us on how we are suppose to react as Christians in our troubles. The Bible is full of examples of men and women who turned to God for help in their day of their adversity. There a lot of accounts that shows the faithfulness and goodness of God towards all who called upon His name.

This morning, I just want to encourage you my friend to call upon the name of the Lord that you may be rescued from your trouble. I know you have tried to do everything in your power and use all the resources you have to get the result you want; but still nothing seems to make sense until now.

Use your trouble as the opportunity to let God show His goodness in your life. Don't try to fight the problems of this life by yourself; Jesus is waiting for you to ask that He may intervene and help you to come out of your mess. Go to Him through prayers, He is waiting for you.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Heavenly Father, I'm asking that You may teach me to pray through the power of your Holy Spirit. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
