Morning with Ebenezer

TALKING TOO MUCH?

A person who talks too much gets into trouble. A wise person learns to be quiet.

Proverbs 10:19 ERV

I know people who talk too much and have got into trouble because of their words. We have people in our communities who are talking without thinking as the result end up hurting many in their circle of influence. Many people are afraid of people with many words because they can hurt you in just seconds with their words.

There is another translation of the above Scripture which says: In the multitude of words sin is not lacking, but he who restrains his lips is wise. This means too much talking won't get you into trouble with only men but also God. The Bible says in the multitude of words sin is not lacking, this is scary because many of us like to talk too much especially about topics which we are well aware of.

I believe that God wants us to talk and share ideas with others that's why Jesus healed dumbness from people and He still heals through His servants in this world. But I believe God wanted us to have self control in our words and be careful that our words may not be used as the tool to cause pain to others.

This morning, I just want to encourage you to ask the Lord to help you control what you say; that you may not say something bad. Ask the Lord to set a guard over your mouth, and that He may keep watch over the door of your lips, Psalm 143:3.

Try to control your too much talking, learn to be quiet if you are not needed to speak. Learn to listen to others that they may listen to you the hour you will open your mouth to talk. You need to know you can cause great pain to others if you will not control your words. Words hurt, destroy and separate friends and family without excluding loving couples. May God help you to be wise by learning to keep quiet.

****Morning Prayer***

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord set a guard over my mouth, that He may keep watch over the door of my lips. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
