Morning with Ebenezer

KEEPING THE WORD

The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever;
The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.
More to be desired are they than gold,
Yea, than much fine gold;
Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
Moreover by them Your servant is warned,
And in keeping them there is great reward.

Psalm 19:9-11 NKJV

In a second letter of Apostle Paul to his beloved son in the Lord Timothy, he give him these instructions,''All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.(2 Timothy 3:16-17)

Here Paul was showing Timothy the importance of studying and examining all Scriptures in one's life. There are some Books of the Bible which most of us we do not understand and because we don't understand the purpose of them, we tend to pass them and go for those which we are well informed about their purpose and origin.

The Psalmist praised the fear of the Lord, he praised the judgments of the Lord that are true and righteous altogether. He said these judgments which are found in his word are more to be desired than gold, than what is called fine gold. They are sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb, and in addition by their teachings His servants (people of God) are warned, and in keeping them there is great reward.

This morning, God wants you keep His word in your heart that you may get great reward in this life and the life to come. I have met people who kept the Word of God since their youth. These people have prospered, they may not be all millionaires; but one thing I have learnt is that even in their poverty the Lord God supplied all of their needs.

We have account of the people who walked with the Lord, these people learned to fear Him and obey His Word. Their end was peace, though they died their names where remembered for what they did when they were alive. They learnt the secret of life, that by keeping the Word of God, there was a great reward.

These people are waiting for us who are living now in the other side, we need to work hard that we may join them one day. They lived the victorious life through keeping the Word of life, the secret is the same for us. We will have life and more abundantly if we will keep what the Lord Jesus Christ instructed us to do in this life. I pray that God may help you keeping His Word, I pray that you may be among many who will inherit the kingdom of God one day.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord help me keep your Word in my heart that I may sin not. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
