HOUSE OF THE LORD

I was glad when they said to me, Let us go to the house of the Lord!

Psalm 122:1 AMP

In the days of the Kings of Israel and Judah, the house of the Lord was the place which was respectable than all places in ancient Israel. People used to travel far to go to Jerusalem in the temple of the Lord to worship and say their petitions before the Lord God creator of heaven and earth.

When people went to the house of the Lord, their sins where pardoned, their disputes where settled and God restored whatsoever the enemy had taken away from their lives. Here is the place the whole congregation of Israel went to hear the Law of the LORD God, and receive messages from the Lord through Prophets and Judges who the Lord set over His people. 

David was glad when people told him that they may go to the house of the Lord. He knew in His house there was healing, restoration, forgiveness, joy, peace and everlasting love from the Lord God. Even to this day, God has touched his men and women who built his houses in every corner of this earth and which we call churches. These are the houses which God dwells, and here is the area which He can be found with us who are in Christ Jesus.

This morning, God wants you to build a behavior of going to His house. By going to His house you will get strength to overcome daily chaos of this life. The impartation which you will get every time you go to His house will enable you to overcome sin and every kind of temptation which will come on your way. His Word which is spoken in His house will have the access to mend all of your hurts.

There is healing in His house, there is deliverance, there is hope for the future. There is joy in His house, there is peace which surpass all understanding. The Psalmist says this,''One day in your Temple is better than a thousand days anywhere else. Serving as a guard at the gate of my God’s house is better than living in the homes of the wicked, Psalm 84:10-11. I encourage you  to start going to the house of the Lord, He is waiting for you there and when you go, you will get your miracle.

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord I desire change, please don't leave me the same. I desire to change, I only want your way. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
