Morning with Ebenezer

JESUS HAS RISEN

The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him. Now I have told you.”

Matthew 28:5-7 NIV

Jesus is the man who changed the history of the world. In the times of pagan Roman Empire, the State of Israel was under their rule and the death penalty on the cross was given to whoever seemed to destroy the peace and order of Roman provinces during that time.

Jesus came to save the world, but the rulers of Jews thought that he came to destroy it. They wanted a Messiah who would have military power to liberate them from the oppression of the Romans. Jesus came with this word, Repent because the kingdom of God is near. They did not want this; they wanted earthly king who would give positions to rule over people after he has captured Jerusalem and the whole State of Israel.

The error which was in rulers of Jews is in the church of this time. The church does no longer enjoy hearing about the Blood, the Cross, suffering of Jesus and the spiritual blessings which Christ gave to everyone who believe on Him in the spiritual realm. But people want to hear about the material blessings, miracles and healings, how they can get material riches, and taught good sermons which will not involve any kind of sin punishment teachings, or hell and heaven stuffs.

This morning, God wants you to know that His Son died and risen for redemption of your soul. He did not die to give you fish and bread alone, He died to save your spirit from sin and hell. Then He rose up conquering sin and death, and gives His authority to the church through the power of Holy Spirit; That the Church may have victory over every kind of sin, by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony.

Salvation is more than material blessings, is more than physical healings and miracles. Salvation saves our souls from bondage, transfer us from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of Son of His love. Salvation gives us assurance that there is life after this life, there is joy, peace under the leadership of Kings of Kings and Lords of Lords. We know that we have hope to see our brethren who went before us, we know that because even if we die in this body, one day the trumpet will sound and we will be resurrected into immortal body as Christ did. Happy Easter!!!

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer….

Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord I’m asking that You may help me to understand and value your work on the cross. That I may fear You, hear and obey your voice and being the living testimony among the unbelievers, proclaiming what you have done for me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
