HE WANTS TO TRUST YOU

Potiphar was furious when he heard his wife’s story about how Joseph had treated her. So he took Joseph and threw him into the prison where the king’s prisoners were held, and there he remained.

Genesis 39:19-20 NLT

Before a parent allows a teenage to drive a home car, he needs to trust that teen first before handling the keys to him or her. He will make sure that teenager masters the starling wheel, knows the road signs and have enough confident when she or he drives. Then the parent will be able to trust his child and give the keys to him or her.

There are some things which we have been praying God to do for us. Things which we desire God to do for us, dreams which we had since our young age. These prayers request which we send daily to God that He may do this and that for us; needs what we call trust. God needs to trust you before He answer some of your prayer requests, He wants to know how you will handle a few before He gives you many.

Joseph was thrown in the pit with his brothers, then he was sold as slave to the Potiphar house with Ishmaelite traders , then Potiphar puts him in the prison. Finally he found himself in the Pharaoh palace. God had to know how much he can trust Joseph, in every difficulties which came his way, he was faithful. This made God to trust him in many things to the point of allowing him to be the prime minister of Egypt.

This morning, you need to know that there some prayer answers which go hand to hand with the level of trust which God has for you. There are some prayers which God will not answer you until He trust you in that area. If you ask God to give you a mega church while you are not treating well the few members in whom you shepherd. 

You may be among the many who ask God to give them noble wives and husbands, you want a  spouse who will be faithful, responsible and God fearing persons. But the question to ask yourself is this, are you faithful, responsible and fearing God? Will God trust you enough to allow such a person with those good qualities to come in your life? God wants to trust you, in everything you are facing right now, you need to walk in faithfulness that You may win His trust for tomorrow.

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord help me to be faithful in the few, that You may trust me in many. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
