Morning with Ebenezer

BE PATIENT WITH EVERYONE

We ask you, brothers and sisters, to warn those who will not work. Encourage those who are afraid. Help those who are weak. Be patient with everyone.

1 Thessalonians 5:14 ERV

Maybe you have been asking yourself how you will be able to live with someone who is in your life right now. It may be that person has different background from yours, treat things in different ways and does not do things like the way they are supposed to be done. Most of us somewhere in life met people who disappointed us in one way or another, and we find ourselves unable to control our temper.

There are those people who are able but not willing to work, most of these are our family members and we have some of them in our local churches and fellowships. Another group are people who are afraid of almost everything due to what they faced in the past or what they have been going through in their lives. Then we have those who can not stand and decide for themselves and always need a support from us. The Bible teaches us to be patient with them all.

It may be you are living with someone who is in those group of people above; and you have been asking the Lord to give you strength to live with him/her or even to take away that person from your life. Most of the time the Lord allows these people to come to us and be with us for a while because he wants to use us to be a source of change to them.

This morning, God wants you to know that you need to learn to be patient with everyone who comes in your life. Not all people will be the same, not all of them will make you happy or like all that you do even if it is good. The Bible terms us as the salt and light of the world; the good Lord said these words meaning, as the way salt gives flavor to the food, it is the same way we need to bring flavor to those who are bitter and live without order.[ Matthew 5:13-16]

The good Lord continued saying that we are light of the world, meaning that we need to show the way to those who lost their direction in life. Comfort those who are afraid, help those who are weak, and at the end of the day bear with them all. Ask yourself if you are patient with your neighbor, if not? Start doing constructive changes from now.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord help me to be patient with everyone. Help me to control my temper and live at peace with everyone. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
