Morning with Ebenezer

HE UNDERSTANDS

He grew up before him like a tender shoot,

    and like a root out of dry ground.

He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him,

    nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.

 He was despised and rejected by mankind,

    a man of suffering, and familiar with pain.

Like one from whom people hide their faces

    he was despised, and we held him in low esteem

Isaiah 53:2-3 NIV

The second chapter of the Book of Hebrews ended by these two powerful verses which shows how God is able to understand our situation.Jesus had to be made like us, his brothers and sisters, in every way. He became like people so that he could be their merciful and faithful high priest in service to God. Then he could bring forgiveness for the people’s sins. And now he can help those who are tempted. He is able to help because he himself suffered and was tempted.( ve.17-18)

This Jesus which the Bible talks about was a human being just like you and me; who was despised and rejected by people, he suffered and experienced the pain which is unexplainable. There are times he suffered hunger, he walked miles by miles for the sake of Kingdom of God. Above all he was betrayed by his disciples by thirty pieces of silver, hanged on the old rugged wooden cross, as it is written,"Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree."( Galatians 3:13)

By doing this, Jesus took away the curse of our wrongdoing because he was hung for our behalf. This Jesus knows what you are going through in life, he knows how it feels to be betrayed, He knows how it feels to be rejected by those who you loved and hated because of your faith in Him. He knows how it feels to be ignored because of your education or economic status because he has been there.

This morning, God wants you to know that He understands. He understands your pain, He understands your suffering and the way you feel after being rejected with those who you once trusted. He is Jehovah Rapha, the LORD God your healer! He will transform all pain which you have been going through for His glory. He has not done with you, He still remembers you and care for your life.

He was made like you in every way so that he could be a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God. He can help you to overcome that temptation which gives you sleepless nights. He can take care all of your bills because He was once a carpenter to make a living. Start a day while knowing He understands, do not give up because He will never live you alone.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord I thank You because you understand me. Heal me ooh Lord, give me strength to overcome every obstacle in my way. Give me strength to be the doer of the Word and not only the listener. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
