Morning with Ebenezer

DON'T CAUSE OTHERS TO SIN

It is better [good] not to eat meat or drink wine or do anything that will cause your brother or sister to sin [stumble; fall].

Romans 14:21 EXB

We do things daily which make our bothers and sisters to stumble. We say words and walk in some attitudes which bring within conflicts to our neighbors even if they will not tell us a word. In this matter we have caused the ones we love to sin, we have caused unsaid pain within them and hence we disintegrate the foundations of our relationships.

When it comes in marriage relationship, there are some things which men do to their wives and women do to their men; which bring direct harm to their relationships. There are some words such as you are a stupid woman, you are a foolish man, or I wish I would be married or marry so and so. These words seems to be normal in daily basis, but slowly bring forth the impact which can cause the permanent destruction on any relationship.

Apostle Paul wrote to Romans, that they should not eat or drink wine or do anything that will cause your brother or sister to sin. Years early Jesus said to his disciples· Things that cause people to sin [Stumbling blocks; Causes of sin; Temptations] will happen [are inevitable;it is impossible for them not to come], but how terrible for [woe to] the person who causes them to happen!, Luke 17:1. The woe was given to a person who will cause the stumble, and the Bible says; It would be better for them to have a millstone tied around their neck and be drowned in the sea.

This morning, God wants you to stop causing your neighbor to sin. If you are doing somethings, saying some words or walking in a certain attitude which cause your neighbor to stumble you need to stop now. By causing him or her to sin anyhow whether by words or deeds, you qualify yourself to get the woe which was intended for provokers.

Our God is a good God. We serve the God who humbles himself to behold things which are in heavens and in the earth. We serve the God whose compassions never fail, they are new every morning. Great is His faithfulness. We serve the God who is slow in anger, abounding in love, and forgiving sin and rebellion. What a mighty God we serve![ Psalm 113: 6, Lamentations 3:2-23, Numbers 14:18a]

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord please forgive me where I have been a tool of making my neighbors stumble. Help me be a peace maker instead of trouble maker, a joy giver instead of sorrow provider. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
