BAD COMPANY

Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.”

1 Corinthians 15:33 NIV

I have witnessed some people who once used to be good and God fearing persons, somewhere along way in their journey of life found themselves in contact with people who ruined their characters once and for all. In our modern world which we are living, most of our young people find themselves engaged in drugs and all kind of evil simply because they chose bad friends.

It may happen the people around you, say that you no longer walk in the good habits which you used to have before. For justification, you may set every kind of opposition reasons before them to prove that you are still on the track. But one question which each one of us must ask himself if those who knew us before claim that they are negative chang+
es in us is this; which kind people am I in fellowship with right now? Are these people the source of my behavior change?

The writer of the Book Proverbs say these words; Walk with the wise and become wise; associate with fools and get in trouble, Proverbs 13:20. I have seen many marriages in trouble because one of the spouse associated with the fools. Many families have been torn apart because of the association with the fools. The saddest thing is that even in our local churches and fellowships, there are a lot of trouble within because some fools have gained control. This cause our churches to lack power and become the place of scandals of every kinds.

This morning, God wants you to reconsider your company. God wants you to start seeking who are wise among your people and associate with them. If you have children you need to make sure which kind of friends are in their circle of influence because the devil is ready to ruin our children's lives at any cost. But we refuse to allow it in the Mighty Name of Jesus!!!

Pray for your family, pray for your spouse, pray that God may remove all people who can be used to corrupt their sound characters. Pray that God can give you good fearing friends who will lead you in the way of the Lord. Pray that you may be patient to wait for proper people in due time who can help you and increase you. Pray that God can give you spiritual eyes to see who is for and against the Lord in your life. Pray that you may continue walking in the fear of the Lord until the end of your life. Pray that you may be the source of change to each and every one who will come in your life both now and the days to come.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord help me to stay away from every kind of bad companies in my life regardless the profit which I may get through them. Keep me and my loved ones safe from every kind of evil which the devil can bring into us through corrupted friends. Give me wisdom to choose friends and be careful to obey your Word while I'm with them. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
