LOOK BACK
God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with his Son,
Jesus Christ our Lord.
1 Corinthians 1:9 NIV
Maybe you
have been facing many difficulties in your life lately that made you even
forget the faithfulness of God. Maybe you are at a point where you have done
everything in your power to liberate yourself out of your situation but things
seem to be the same.
There are
questions like where is God? Why, He is so quiet? Does He not feel any
compassion on me? How long should I continue to live like this? Those may
happen to be the words of a desperate Christian who had believed in God since
his childhood.
One of the things that we always forget in the times of desperation is what God did for us in the past. In every glory there is a story; if you are walking in a certain dimension of faith right now I believe there is a testimony behind it. I believe there were times in your past where you faced great troubles and God delivered you from them all. He fought for you and kept you alive up to this day; if He did for you then, He will do for you again.
This
morning, I want you to know if God was faithful for you in the past; then He
will be faithful for you in this present and in the coming days. The writer of
the book of Hebrews says: Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and
forever, Heb 13:8. Then Paul says: And I am sure that God who began the
good work within you will keep right on helping you grow in his grace until his
task within you is finally finished on that day when Jesus Christ returns,
Philippians 1:6.
God is
going to finish what He has started in you. The same Jesus who fight for you
and elevate you above your enemies in the past; He will do again today and He
won't stop doing it even when your tomorrow comes. If He paid for your bills,
rent, mortgage, and school in the past; He will do it even today and tomorrow
you can also count on Him. Put your trust in the Lord; and He will never put
you to shame.
****Morning Prayer****
Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your
prayer....
Dear
Heavenly Father, I have put my trust in You. Lord help me to continue believing
your name for the rest of my days on this earth. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
