THE CHIEF CORNERSTONE
Jesus is
“‘the stone you builders
rejected, which has become the cornerstone.’ Salvation is found in no one else,
for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be
saved.”
Acts 4:11-12 NIV
The Psalmist David talks
about the stone that the builders rejected that later became the chief corner
stone. Here the builders were the house of Israel who rejected Jesus the
Messiah when He came in the flesh and crucified Him on the cross. Apostle Peter
reveal the identity of the stone to be Jesus; the Son of God who was rejected
by his brethren has become the cause of salvation to all mankind. (Psalm
118:22)
Then He continues by saying
salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven
given to mankind by which we must be saved. Apostle Paul taught the same thing
to Philippians, He said: Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and
gave him the name that is above every name, Philippians 2:9. This Jesus, who
was despised and rejected by mankind, was given the name above all names
because He obeyed the will of His Father.
There are folks in the church
who have been facing rejections since the day there were born. Some were
rejected by their male parents and found themselves living difficult lives in
the most part of their early lives. Some found themselves facing rejection in
every corner they turn in life; they experienced rejection even in the body of
believers and they don't understand why rejection has been following them for
years.
This morning, make Jesus to
be the chief cornerstone of your life. Lay the foundation of your life in that
stone and make Him to be a hiding rock in the times of trouble. He has the
ability to cast away that spirit of rejection that has been following your
life; He was rejected so He knows how it's like to walk in your shoes. Ask Him
to cast it out and He will set you free from that bondage.
Lay the foundation of your
marriage in that stone; lay the foundation of your ministry, work and business
in that stone of help. Jesus is your Ebenezer, the stone of help that has
helped you until this day, 1 Samuel 7:12. Jesus through His Holy Spirit will
help you in all things that you will ask His help; He will never let you down
if you will completely put your trust in Him.
****Morning Prayer****
Pray this prayer with me by
faith and God is going to answer your prayer....
Dear Father, I lay the
foundation of my life in the stone of help; Lord I'm asking that You may help
me in every point in my life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
