Morning with Ebenezer

MOVE ON

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive itI am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.

Isaiah 43:18-19 NIV

We have so many Christians in the church who are stuck in the past. We have people who made some mistakes some years ago who are still punishing themselves for what they did. Preachers have been preaching about forgiveness and letting go of the past; but these brethren seem to understand the subject at the moment, and when they go home they find themselves resume what I call this is all my fault game.

We have parents who had children outside the wedlock who kept on blaming themselves for what they did; and even forget to show love to those precious children in their homes. We have men and women of God who somewhat backslid and sinned against the Lord; but they kept on blaming themselves and living in guilt even after asking for forgiveness from the Lord.

We have people who can't open their hearts to love again because they loved some people some years ago and those people broke their hearts. They still stuck in the past pain, bitterness and anger and as the results their lives stop while those who broke their hearts continue with their lives. We have people who were wronged so badly with the people they once trust; now they still struggling to forgive them and let them go and this gives room to bitterness to take control in them.

This morning, I'm here to tell you that you need to move on with your life. It's true that you made some terrible mistakes; it's true you were naive at that time and you didn't know the Lord. Now you are no longer naive and the Lord is with you. It's about a time for you to start looking positive things in your life and stop living in the negative side of life every day.

No one is perfect, we all make mistakes and do foolish things that we later come to regret but sticking in the past won't help you at all. You need to be a person who learns from his mistakes and improve himself everyday; there is always something new to learn and a better way of doing things and handling different affairs of life. Ask God Holy Spirit to help you to move on with your life for the glory of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Father, I'm asking that You may send your Holy Spirit in my life that He may help me to stop dwelling in the past. God Holy Spirit help me to forgive, letting go and live today my life to the fullest. Help me to trust You in everything knowing You will always guide me in the right direction. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
