Morning with Ebenezer

THE PROMISE OF HIS COMING

To begin with, you must know and understand this, that scoffers (mockers) will come in the last days with scoffing, [people who] walk after their own fleshly desires And say, Where is the promise of His coming? For since the forefathers fell asleep, all things have continued exactly as they did from the beginning of creation.

2 Peter 3:3-4 AMP

There are some people who have been mocking the promise of second coming of Jesus. They said that since He said many years have passed and nothing has happened. Then maybe Jesus was probably drinking wine at the time He made the comments; because He had the ability turn water into wine.

The Bible predicted these kinds of people will come in the last days and make these kinds of comments. This prediction has proved to be true because these people have been claiming that Jesus took too long to come back and He made a promise that He can't keep. Apostle Peter addressed this matter and gave a reason why some people may be feeling like the Lord is slow in fulfilling His promise in verse 8-9 of the chapter 3 of his second book of Peter.

The Bible says: But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.  The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. (V.8-9)

This morning, I want you to know that the day of the Lord will come like a thief. You need to be prepared day and night; and stop listening on the comments of mockers and believe what was written from the beginning. All Bible promises are Yes and Amen; all what was prophesied in the Scriptures will come to pass.

This present earth and the works that are upon it will be burned up and nothing will be left. Then we ought to live holy and godly lives as we look forward for the day of His second coming. We need to look forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells. I want to encourage you to wait on the Lord and keep being faithful before Him.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I surrender my life before You. Lord I'm asking that You may help to live a holy life before You while waiting for the day of your second coming. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
