Morning with Ebenezer

ARE YOU DEAD?

Then Jesus went through the towns and villages, teaching as he made his way to Jerusalem. Someone asked him, “Lord, are only a few people going to be saved?” He said to them, “Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to.

There will be weeping and grinding of teeth when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but you yourselves being cast forth (banished, driven away).

And [people] will come from east and west, and from north and south, and sit down (feast at table) in the kingdom of God.

Luke 13:22-29 AMP

Someone asked Jesus how many people will be delivered from the penalties of the last judgment, and made partakers of the salvation by Christ. Jesus did not give Him exactly number; but He insisted that we should make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, will try to enter and will not be able to.

He continued by saying, once the owner of the house [God Himself] gets up and closes the door; this means when there will be no longer a chance for people to repent for their evil deeds. There will be people stand outside knocking and pleading, 'Sir, open the door for us.' Then He will answer them, ' I don't know you or where you come from.'

These people will reply, 'We ate and drank with you, and you taught in our streets.' "But He will reply, ' I don't know you or where you come from. Away from me, all you evildoers!' These people seemed to have a Christian background, they fellow-shipped with the Lord and listened to His word. But something was off in their walk with the Lord; the Lord did not know them. In other words they had the name of being alive but in the reality they were died.

This morning, I have a question for you. Do you have the name of being alive but you are dead? Maybe you are an elder in your local church, worship leader, usher, preacher, or even prayer leader. People see your activeness on the things of God and many like to become like you one day. But the real question is, are your works perfect before God?

You need to know that if you will not enter in that kingdom; you will weep and grind your teeth when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but you are being driven away. People will come from all parts of the world, people of every nation, tribe and language. All these people will feast at table in the kingdom of God; make sure you will be among of them.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I'm asking that You may help me to be watchful, that I may strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die. Help me to remember how I have received and heard about your word that I may repent and continue living that way. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
