Morning with Ebenezer

FIGHT AGAINST SIN

We should live in a right way, like people who belong to the day. We should not have wild parties or be drunk. We should not be involved in sexual sin or any kind of immoral behavior. We should not cause arguments and trouble or be jealous.  But be like the Lord Jesus Christ, so that when people see what you do, they will see Christ. Don’t think about how to satisfy the desires of your sinful self.

Romans 13:13-14 ERV

There are many things out there which may tempt us to leave the way of the Lord. We had our ways before we knew the Lord and life styles which did not please the Lord. Some of us used to drink, go to wild parties and involve ourselves in sexual sin.

We lived by following our flesh desires and follow the dictate of our hearts. God through Jesus Christ showed us the way that saved us from corrupt lives we once had. The challenge which we are facing right now is to stay away from evil and make sure that we live the life worth our calling in Christ Jesus our Lord.

We are being taught in the Bible to live like Jesus and follow His footsteps. We have been given the Spirit of God to help us in our weaknesses and direct us in the direction which we should go in life. We need to live in such a way when people see us, they will be seeing the Christ who is in us.

This morning, I want to encourage you to continue fighting against sin. I know that sometimes the fight may seem to be overwhelmed and you may feel like you will lose the war. I want to encourage you that God will help you to overcome every sin in your life if you will continue putting your trust in Him.

You need to remember to repent every time you sin; and ask the Lord to give you strength that you may not sin again. You need to stay away from the environments or people who may cause you to sin; that you may live according to the will of God in your life. Keep the faith and stay away from evil and the Lord will be with you always.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Father, please forgive me for where I have fallen. Lord I'm asking that You may give me strength to continue fighting against sin in my life while waiting for your second event on this earth. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
