SEEK THE LORD AND HIS POWER

Elisha died and the people buried him.

One time in the spring a group of Moabite soldiers came to fight against Israel.  Some Israelites were burying a dead man when they saw that group of soldiers. The Israelites quickly threw the dead man into Elisha’s grave. As soon as the dead man touched the bones of Elisha, he came back to life and stood up on his feet.

The Bible is full of wonderful stories of great men and women of God who lived by faith before God. These stories inspire us, give us strength and show us the working power of God in the lives of men. The good thing about these stories is, all are true; and all events happened exactly as they were recorded in the Scriptures.

In the second Book of Kings we see an account of the death of Elisha. He died and people buried him. The group of Moabite soldiers used to enter the country of Israel every spring to fight against Israel. The day they entered some Israelites were burying a dead man when they saw that group of soldiers. The Israelites quickly threw the dead man into Elisha's grave. I believe they were terrified and they wanted to finish what they were doing and run.

Then the Bible says something so amazing here, it says: As soon as the dead man touched the bones of Elisha, he came back to life and stood up on his feet. This shows that the power of God that worked inside of Elisha when he was still alive; it was even in his bones when he died. If God power was still moving in the bones of the dead man; how much more He will move inside of us who are still alive when we stay connected with Him?

This morning, I want to encourage you to seek the Lord and His power. Seek to walk in the power of God, being a Christian is a good thing; but you need to desire to walk in the power of the Holy Spirit. Men and women of God perform miracles; because they are filled with the power of Holy Ghost. The Spirit of God is the one who enable them to do things that our human nature can't do.

Maybe you are been struggling with certain things in your life; this may include some repetitive behaviors, physical weaknesses, mental or spiritual battles. One thing you need is the power of God to come upon your life. The day the Spirit of God will take over your soul; He will deal with everything that doesn't glorify God inside of you and make you whole. Seek to be filled by the Spirit that you may be able to walk in the supernatural power of God in your life.

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I'm asking that You may fill my spirit with the power of your Holy Spirit. Help me to walk in that power and witness all what You have prepared for me in Christ Jesus my Lord and Savior. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
