SEEK TO GROW

Until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.

Ephesians 4:13-15 NIV

There are many doctrines about God which are not godly. There are many people who call themselves people of God; but they do not stand for the interests of the kingdom. We hear different people rise who claims to be sent by God. They do wonders before our eyes; and convince many to follow them.

Doing miracles and prophesying does not prove that these folks are from God. Many came with prophecies and they did miracles; but their characters proved that they were saving another kingdom which is not the kingdom of light. People of God need to understand the word of God that they may be able to distinguish between true and false prophets.

If we will understand the word of God according to the will of God; then there are many things that give us trouble in life right now will be handled. We have some behaviors which we have been entertaining them; while knowing they don't fit us as the people of God. We fail to forgive and let go people who hurt us; and secretly seeking to revenge whether direct or indirect.

This morning, seek to grow and mature that you may look like Christ and have all His perfection. If we will grow and mature in Christ, we will not be people who are always changing like a ship that waves carry one way and then another. We will not be influenced by every new teaching we hear from people who are trying to deceive us-those who make clever plans and use every kind of trick to fool others into following the wrong way. (Verse: 14-15, ERV)

If you want to know the standard of life that God intended us to live; then you need to spend enough time reading the Gospels to see how Jesus lived. You need to spend enough time in prayers that you may give a room for the Spirit of God to deal with your inner man. You need to read the word of God daily that you may have enough deposit of the word of God in your spirit to help you in the day of your calamity.

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I'm asking that You may help me to continue growing in You. I want to be like You ooh Lord; help me to walk in your footsteps in all the days of my life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
