Morning with Ebenezer

FIX YOUR EYES ON JESUS

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

Matthew 6:33 NIV

We see the rising of generation of Christians who had put they focus on the materials prosperity and things that are seen than ever before. Paul taught the Colossians to set their hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. (Colossians 3:1-2)

He then encouraged the Corinthians to fix their eyes not on what is seen, but on what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. Then the writer of the Book of Hebrews, encourage us to fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. (2 Corinthians 4:18, Hebrews 12:2)

These great men of God knew that if people of God will fix their eyes on Jesus, wonderful things will happen for them. These Scriptures are written to teach us that we need to fix our eyes on Jesus but not on the things of this world.

This morning, I want to encourage you to fix your eyes on Jesus. Don't concentrate on the things that are seen these including your present circumstances, problems and hardships. Focus your eyes on the things of God including His omnipotent power which is found in Christ Jesus.

You need to stop focusing on material possessions but seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all things will be added to you. Read the word of God; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written on it. Then you will be prosperous and successful in everything you do in life.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Father, I will focus my eyes on your Son Jesus Christ. I will look into You knowing that I will never be disappointed. I will fix my eyes on You that I may walk in the victory that is gained by following your footsteps in this life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
