Morning with Ebenezer

TIME

So be very careful how you live. Do not live like people who aren't wise. Live like people who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity. The days are evil. So don’t be foolish. Instead, understand what the Lord wants.

Ephesians 5:15-17 NIRV

The Bible teaches us that the fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; in other words we can say the fear of God is a foundation of true wisdom. All kinds of learning and doctrines will be worthless if they are not built upon the knowledge of God Almighty.

Paul insists the Church of Ephesus to be careful on how they live their lives; he instructs them to live like wise people but not like people who are not wise. He instructs them to redeem the time, because the days are evil. Then he exhorts them to understand the will of God in their lives.

This message of Paul still speaks to us till this day. It reminds us to make good use of the time; it encourages us to seize every good opportunity we get before us that we may develop our own lives and extend the kingdom of God on this earth. One of the problems we see in the church today; is the problem of wasting time. We spend a lot of our time on the things that don't profit us personal or extend the reign of the kingdom of God on this earth.

This morning, you need to learn the art of saving time. There are many unnecessary things that may come your way. You need to learn to prioritize things that you may be able to deal with important things first; and deal with the rest when you get your free time. You need to be careful when it comes on choosing friends, because there are some people who may plant the seed of idleness in you; and cause you to stop concentrating on the things that matters.

There is no need of talking to someone all day every day and even during work and school hours. You need to understand that for everything there is a season and a right time for every matter. If it is the time for work then concentrate on your work, if it is the time for school then put your mind on it. Friends can wait, and if you are in a house of the Lord then give yourself to Him and be attentive to hear from Him. No wonder people of this world succeed in their dealings; because they understand the art of saving time.

If you want to see success in your life then you need to use your time properly. The day of today will go down in history as a memory. If you won't maximize it by fulfilling your responsibilities and develop yourself; then it will go down as a wasted day which could change the history of your life if you could stay on the top of it.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, forgive me for wasting the precious time that You have given me freely. Lord I'm asking that You may fill my heart with your wisdom that I may make the most of every opportunity that will come in my life. Help me to live and stay in your will according to your Gospel in Christ Jesus. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
