Morning with Ebenezer

PRAYERS OF THE SAINTS

And when he had taken it, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp and they were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of God’s people.

Revelation 5:8 NIV

The Bible talks about the Lamb as though it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent out into all the earth. Here the Bible talks about Jesus who died for the sins of this world and who went before the throne of the Father; and took the scroll out of the right hand of Him who sat on the throne.

The Bible continues by saying; when the Lamb had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the 24 elders fell sown before the Lamb. Each one had a harp and they were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of God's people. When I was reading these verses I started to understand how prayers of God's people are so important before our God.

These 24 elders many Bible scholars believe are 12 elders of tribes of Israel i.e. the 12 sons of Jacob; and another twelve elders are believed to be 12 Apostles of Jesus Christ. In other words there are those who represent the Old Covenant and those who represent the New Covenant. All of these elders fell down before the Lamb each one had a harp and they were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of God's people.

This morning, I want to encourage you to pray. I want to encourage you to pray by faith in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Sometimes you may feel like your prayers have no importance and maybe no one will remember them. The Bible shows us that God is keeping your prayers and they are before Him always; so don't stop praying because your prayers are not in vain.

Prayers change things, prayers bring restoration and give birth to the new things in life. People of God get the strength they need in this life through prayers. Prayers bring us closer to God and we experience the presence of God in prayers. I want to encourage you to pray every time you get a chance and ask the Holy Spirit of God to help you in your prayers that you may pray according to the will of God.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Father, I pray that You may help me to live a life of prayer. Help me to push until something happens (pray) in any situation that will come in my way. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
