RELATIONSHIPS

Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.

Hebrews 12:14 NIV

Relationship is the condition or fact of being related; connection or association. We can say also is a particular type of connection existing between people related to or having dealings with each other. It is also used in describing a romantic or sexual involvement.

We are surrounded with different kind of relationships in our lives. These relationships start from our immediate family members, and then advance to our relatives, friends and all who are in circles of our influence. It was the will of God from the beginning that people may relate to each other in harmony and love. That’s why He started the first relationship Himself in the Garden of Eden between Adam and Eve.

Relationships are one of main areas of Satan battlefield. He fights here with all of his devices to make sure that he breaks every good relationship before the eyes of God and the world. He will always seek to find a weak spot that He may go inside and cause problems in that particular relationship. He knows for example if He will ruin couples relationships, then He will ruin children and at the end of the day the nation as the whole.

Most of us Christians struggle in this area of relationships. You may find a born again Christian, full of Spirit who is still struggling in his/her marriage or having constant misunderstandings with one or few members of his/her family. Many of us have caused ourselves a lot of pain and sorrow because we entered in some ungodly relationships; I have been there so I know how it feels.

This morning, I want to encourage you to start praying for your relationships. It doesn't matter if it is the work relationship between you and your boss; or if there is a discord between you and some of your family members. This is the time for you to claim that relationship back from the devil and that God may have control on it.

If you are having problems with your personal relationship with the Lord; this is the hour of putting things right with Him and make sure that you are at peace with Him. On your side make every effort to live in peace with everyone including your enemies and live a holy life and know that without holiness no one will see the Lord.

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Father, You know I have been struggling in this area of relationships. I tried to do everything in my power to save some of my relationships but they end in break up. Lord I need You in this area, help me to humble myself enough that I may make peace with everyone. I cover all my relationships with the blood of Jesus, I speak peace to them ooh Lord. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
