GIVE THANKS

Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 ESV

It may be easy to blame God when things go opposite to our expectations; most of the time when we face difficulties, being tempted or struggling with sin. It is easy for us to find someone to blame and that person may be even God himself.

There are words like, if God wouldn't allow this person to come into my life I would not sin. We always secretly blame God for the opportunities that we once missed; sometimes we blame Him for our own decisions that proved to be wrong later. Maybe you had someone in mind and you wanted him/her to be your life partner; but before you made a step you came to find out that person is no longer yours.

When we see those people developing with their spouses; we tend to blame God secretly that He took those people away from us. We forget that the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord. If God did not allow those people in your life, it means He had a better plan in mind for you; the plan that is better compared to what you had for yourself.

This morning, I just want to ask you to stop blaming God and start thanking Him. Stop concentrating on the things that you don't have in your life; but thank Him for all the blessings that He has given you. Thank Him for your life, thank Him for your family, relationships, and thank Him for today and for what He taught you from yesterday experience.

Thank Him for the gift of salvation and that your name has been written in the Book of life. Some are in hospitals very sick but you are well and healthy. Some got accidents and lost some parts of their bodies but you have all parts in your body. God has blessed you in so many ways; take a minute today to think and appreciate what He has done for you while giving Him thanks for everything.

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord forgive me for blaming You every time I pass through difficulties in life. Forgive me for complaining instead of giving You thanks for everything. Lord I ask that You may help me to live a thanksgiving life; help me to stop complaining and blaming You every time I face difficulties. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
