Morning with Ebenezer

MAKE PEACE

“So when you offer your gift to God at the altar, and you remember that your brother or sister has something against you, leave your gift there at the altar. Go and make peace with that person, and then come and offer your gift.

 Matthew 5:23 NCV

Being a Christian is very easy but living a Christian life is another story. Everyone can wake up in the morning and proclaim he is a Christian; but not all of them can live according to what the word of God says. Being tradition Christian maybe easily for some people who follows doctrines and practices of men; but being a born again Christian requires the daily commitment from that particular person.

You won't be a threat to the enemy if you are only a Christian by name. If you go to church once a year, you don't read the word or live the life of prayer then you will be the pedal of the enemy. If you are Spirit filled Christian who goes to church and live a life of prayer while reading the word of God and put it in practices. Then you are a very threat to the enemy and he will do everything in his power to bring things that may make you stumble.

One of the weapons that enemy uses are offenses; He will bring people who may offend you that you may get upset and sin against God. He will bring people who may say harsh words and slander against you. He may cause your boss to be constant pain over you and cause every kind of disappointment to come your way. The question comes what are you going to do when the enemy attacks you this way?

This morning, I just want to encourage you to live in peace with all people. Jesus says when you offer your gift to God at the altar, and you remember that your brother or sister has something against you, leave your gift there at the altar. This means if there are misunderstandings between you and your brother or sister this may prevent God to receive your offering.

There is a connection between giving offering and having peace with all people. Then Jesus continued by saying go and make peace with that person, and then come and offer your gift. This means if we are in harmony with our neighbor and forgive each other wrong doings; then God will be able to forgive us and accept whatsoever we offer before Him. Make peace with someone today; don't give an enemy the chance to ruin your relationship with the Lord.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, help me to make peace with people who have wronged me or wronged them. Help me to remember to forgive everyone before I come before you asking for forgiveness. Help me to live godly life according to your word. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
